Chapter 5: Chapter 4 ~ A Drop From The Past

Leoric is a name that scientists have agreed upon. Instead of saying the word "superpower", humans use the word "Leoric".

Hotaru is considered talented in this community because he was born with a strong Leoric. But he was tired of people treating him based on his Leoric. And this really is what happens, he just feels like a Leoric bowl. Nobody cared about him as a person, so he decided to live in a new environment and hide his power.

And now he was walking to his class while he was lost in his memories;

'In the past, when I was nine years old, I was in the same room with a strange child, and he was about the same age as me. Just an empty room, We weren't even able to see sunlight. But it was white because of the electric lights. I didn't even know what time it was, am I in the day or at night? This is something I can't figure out.

I raised my head up and found a large window made of unbreakable glass, and behind that window, there were people dressed in white. Not the clothes a doctor wears, but the clothes worn by those who collect the corpses.

They treat us as if we are some kind of epidemic.

Then I heard a sound like the sound of water falling on the ground. And when I looked at the source of the sound, I found that it wasn't just water. It was blood.

It's the blood of the kid who was standing in front of me. His face was red and the blood came out of his nose profusely.

I felt sorry for that kid, why did they beat him so hard...

But wait, who hit him? There is only him and me in this room.

I was so afraid to find out the truth, but it was clear when I looked at my hands, which were full of blood.

I raised my head to that window and found those men talking. I couldn't hear them, but it wasn't hard for me to understand what they were saying from their lips movements.

"It happened too fast."

"That kid… he really is a demon, perhaps it would be best to execute him."

Suddenly, that boy fell into the white ground on his ass, and then fell on his back.

But wait, you didn't tell me why I have this blood on my hands, you can't pass out that fast. You have to... tell me what happened.

I heard the door being opened, I didn't even know where the door was. This white room is making me lose my mind.

I found some water coming out of my eyes, and after a few moments I realized it was tears.

Ironically, the person who should be crying is that kid because he was in pain. So why did tears come out of my eyes instead of him?

Before he knew it, Hotaru found himself reached a closed passage. He was so absorbed in his thoughts that he forgot to focus his way. Then he heard a young man's voice say from behind;

"Haha! Oh man, does anyone keep walking until their head hits a wall?"

Hotaru turned his head and saw an attractive-looking young man, blond hair and blue eyes. He was really handsome, and he was smiling while he said;

"Are you looking for a place? I can guide you if you want."

Hotaru replied calmly;

"Class F-1"

That blonde young man scratched his hair and then said;

"So you're still a first-year student. I suggest you enjoy your youth, time will pass quickly."

Unlike the previous persons, this guy didn't ask Hotaru about The Leoric. He told him to enjoy his high school life. And Hotaru was really looking for that kind of person. That young man took him to the class he was looking for, and on the way, Hotaru asked him;

"Senpai, it seems to me you're in your second year. So why are you here today? I mean, it's a celebration for first-year students."

The blond young man was walking with his hands behind his head, and then he answered with a smile;

"Not the second year, I'm in the third year. Also, I'm here to meet nice girls. It will be easy to seduce girls younger than me."

Hotaru sighed and said;

"And I thought you were a noble person."
