Chapter 70: v4c13

When the seven mercenaries, including the watcher, were all present, Guizarte gave a short word, "Let's go," and started running quietly toward the mansion. The other men followed without a word.

　As the wall of the mansion nears, Delan steps out in front of Gizarte.

When he reaches the wall first, he turns around, backs up against the wall, and turns his body toward his running colleagues.

"Boyd!"

　He calls out his name, and a small man runs up to Delan without slowing down.

　Delan sits down and folds his hands in front of his chest. Boyd uses his hands as a platform to jump up over the wall in an instant.

The moment he crosses the wall, Boyd's long shadow, illuminated by the lamp light, stretches outside the wall.

'These guys even made a reverse bush!"

Boyd shouted as he looked inward from the top of the wall.

　Gizarte clicked his tongue(How could they have done that already? Who in the world p coma up with this?)

“Find a place to climb down!”

　Gizarte called out, and Boyd ran dexterously along the fence without stumbling, and after a short distance, he found a gap .

"There's a gap here,"

He jumps down inside the wall.

"Okay, keep up."

　Gizarte gives a short command.

Delan runs to where Boyd jumped down, where he again joins hands with his companions, who use them as platforms to leap one after the other onto the wall.

Inside the mansion, there is a raucous sound of banging on something. It was probably a guard informing them of the enemy's intrusion.

　It doesn't matter, thought Gizarte.

　He knew they would find him when they decided to force the raid.

　Gizarte was the second to last to leap onto the fence. At once, the view opened up, and the huge mansion was fully visible in front of him.

　He and the man who jumped up last pull Deran up.

The other five men were already running the fastest distance to the mansion without waiting for Gizarte and the rest of the group.

　Gizarte jumps down from the wall. (There were still not that many reverse bushes, and there were gaps in some places. Tomorrow, there would be more reverse bushes and it would be more difficult to get in.)

Delan gives a short order to theBoyd, to break the great front door. .

　Then, he and another man went around to the back door.

Just then, they came across a group of guards running out from that side of the entrance.

　There were four of them. Each of them had a short spear in their hands.

(A good decision, )Gizarte thought to himself, as if he were a third party.

　The four of them prepared their short spears to intimidate the approaching Gizarte and his men.

　Unfortunately, however, they are all cowed. Gizarte shakes his head as he watches their posture. Then, it is impossible to stab a person to death.

　Gizarte approaches the spear points of the four men without hesitation at all. The lamp light illuminates the cruel face of the "silver skull".

"Whoa!

　One of them shouts in a voice that can neither be described as a shout nor a scream, and thrusts out his spear.

At that moment, fresh blood flew.

Gizarte instantly bent low and stepped forward to avoid the spear, then drew his sword from his waist and sliced off both of his opponents' arms.

In an instant, the remaining three men, who had lost the advantage of their spears, tried to back away in a hurry, but Gizarte, without changing his expression, took a step forward, extended his sword and pierced one of them through the throat, then took another sharp step, one, two steps, and so on.

With each step, fresh blood flew, and when Gizarte lowered his sword, three wrecks fell at his feet.

"I don't want to kill for nothing."

(he muttered with a click of his tongue. "You are not worth a single copper coin when I kill you. If you don't attack You're wasting my time.)

(You haven't lost weight, Commander.)

　A subordinate who had been following him called out to him after he had finished off the man whose arms had been cut off by Gizarte.

(I think you can still fight on the northern front, don't you?)

"Shut up. Stop talking nonsense."

　

　

　But he know better than anyone that a mercenary's strength cannot be measured by swordsmanship alone.

"The girl we were looking for was on the third floor, wasn't she?"

　The subordinate nodded. He looked toward the front of the house

　　I looked toward the front of the house , where his men were cutting down the guards one by one.

Deran, the "Blood Axe," swung the axe that gave him his nickname, and the other man was sent flying backward in a spray of bright red blood.

　Delan approaches the great door at a slow pace.

　A young man with a hard look on his face held up a spear and lunged at him, but Delan smashed the spear with the axe and smashed the man's head with the second hit.

　With his momentum, he saw Deran swing his axe down on the great door.

　It would only be a matter of time before he break through the door.

　All that remained was to prevent his target from escaping.

"Don't make the mistake , guys "

　Gizarte said to Delan and the rest and went around to the back door.
