Chapter 20: Why Have I Always Thought Of Him Lately???

After school.

Eden was walking down the corridor when Ace appeared beside her. The man was still wearing a basketball uniform, complete with a face full of sweat.

"Hey, E."

"Ace??" Eden's eyes widened. Surprised to see Ace.

"What about your hands?" Ace asked. He deliberately stopped training to find out Eden's condition.

"Better," Eden replied, showing a bruise on her left hand that started to get better but was still red. Thanks to Alexander, if Eden continues to work hard this morning, didn't know what will happen to her hands. It was possible that the muscle would tear from the force, and the girl would be permanently disabled.

[she still hasn't healed herself. Maybe it's true that she's human.] Ace glanced at the wound that was wrapped in the makeshift bandage.

[Should I help her?] Ace thought.

"Why daydreaming??" Eden asked when Ace was just silent, without realizing they had arrived at the school's main door.

Eden looked at Ace, their eyes accidentally locked. The faces of the two of them are too close, stunning Ace with the charm of both Eden's eyes. Ace's face warmed, a blush appeared. His heart was racing fast. didn't know how many hundred years since Ace didn't feel that flutter.

"Ace??" Eden called him again.

"Ah… sorry, I'm just tired, right, maybe I'm just tired." Ace smiled at Eden. He took Eden's left hand and held it. Eden felt strange. Why did Ace suddenly hold her hands?? If it wasn't for Eden's hand, which was numb from swelling, perhaps Eden could feel the warmth of Ace's body temperature through every touch of his skin.

Ace still held Eden's hand, making the girl even more embarrassed. Ace slowly recited an incantation: a simple healing spell, not a complete cure, just a speedy recovery and less pain.

"Sorry, I'm used to holding my sister's hand." Ace lied, all his family was just a fantasy, all stories were made up by Ace so he could live mingle with humans and enter Eden's life. Ace had been eyeing Eden since high school. Ace had been interested in the mysterious figure of Eden for a long time.

"You have a sister?" Eden just didn't believe it.

"Yup, little sister, maybe she would be your age if she were alive. I'm sorry, I suddenly told you sad story." Ace let go Edens hand.

"Eh?? she was dead??"

"When I was little."

"I'm so sorry, Ace."

"It doesn't matter."

They arrived at the parking area. Ace helped to pull Eden's bike out because Eden's hand hurts.

"Where are you going after school?" asked Ace again.

"Find a job. Huff… I got fired by aunt hanun, so I have to find another part time job."

"You're not delivering milk anymore? No wonder I didn't see you this morning." Ace said. "Well, I'm actually a bit disappointed that you weren't the one who brought it." Ace's words made Eden embarrassed.

"are You waiting for me?"

"Yup."

"No kidding Ace." Eden patted Ace and he just laughed.

"Alright, I have to get back to training! I hope you get a job soon. And don't push yourself too much, E." Ace pushed Eden's bike into the street. Eden laughed.

Eden pedaled her bicycle out of the school complex. In the middle of the road she accidentally looked at the park beside the school building. A quiet place that had never been touched by teachers, where naughty children act. There, Lina, Nina, and several girls from another class surrounded Bianca. They were bullying Bianca.

"None of my business." Eden continued to pedal her bicycle.

They did not even hesitate to slap, hit, and even cut Bianca's hair. They were all getting more and more wild bullying Bianca because she kept fighting back. They even took off Bianca's skirt and took pictures of her panties as a guarantee that Bianca kept her mouth shut. The same thing as Bianca always did at Eden in the past.

"Karma is real." Eden shrugged and left the school compound. Even though she felt sorry, Eden had no reason or strength to save Bianca.

Eden pedaled her bicycle to several convenience stores, cake shops, and coffee shops. Who knows she might apply for the job. But apparently, applying for the job was not as easy as Eden thought. All rejected Eden for various reasons.

Eden was tired and thirsty. She had to quench her thirst. All day long, she was busy looking for a job. Now, It was five o'clock, but the sun was still shining brightly.

"Sigh!! So hot!" she complained.

After drinking water from the tap, Eden rests on a park bench, the sunshine in summer creates a warm atmosphere.

Unbeknownst to Eden, Alexander had indeed closed all access so that Eden would not get a job. With his money and power, he threatened all the shop owners around Eden's school and housing estate.

"Luckily, Arley contacted me. at least tomorrow, I can get some money." Eden leaned back on the bench, enjoying the warm breeze in the shade of the shady tree. She felt much better.

"Hey, the swelling is gone." Eden just realized that her wound was getting better. It wasn't completely healed yet, but the hand that had been swollen had now shrunk drastically. Eden could quickly move and rotate her joints. All because Ace gave her a simple healing spell.

"No more pain, Oh God, thank you! Tomorrow I can work well." Eden smiled happily.

Alexander's bite began to close. Eden remembers the annoying man who suddenly appeared and distracted her every day.

[Has he really made Bianca poor? But … What's the reason??]

"Ck, How fishy! He is also got me fired. And maybe he's also blocked me from getting a new job! Arg, why I have always thought of him lately???" Eden scratched her grey wave hair roughly when considering Alexander's salty behavior.

"Tch, he is lying. How could he be a werewolf?? Look at this, I wasn't poisoned and turned into a Wolf when he bit me?! Those hooves and fangs must be fake." Eden said Alexander was a liar. She was still trying to deny reality. Yet how could she turn into a wolf if she was a wolf herself?!

"Oh, I better go home. Who knows Mom will be home already." Eden got up and started pedaling the bike.

"Oh, I hope they do not turn my electricity tonight! I have an exam tomorrow." she smiled bitterly.
