Chapter 41: The Wizards And Wolves

"Can you tell me about the Wizards?" Eden looked curious. Alexander said his power was pent up by magic. And Eden could read the ancient symbols at his arm, whether wizards also had something to do with Eden's identity?

To be honest, Eden now was starting to waver about who indeed she was? Since she could hear the mind link from Alexander. She was increasingly convinced that there was something different about her. Could it be true that Eden is not fully human? And if that's true, did Eden's identity have anything to do with her Dad? Also, his death? Could Eden find the answer to this riddle from these wolves?

"Wizards are old enemies of the wolves," Jackson replied curtly.

"Why do you hate them so much? Didn't magic block Alex's power? Does that mean you guys met the wizards before?" Eden was quite curious about Jackson's answer. If they were enemies, why, when they blocked Alexander's power, they ask the Wizards for help?

"You know that alpha is powerful? As a child, he couldn't control his powers and destroyed anything he touched. Mr. Alexander couldn't be friends with anyone because he would hurt them. He even injured his nanny -badly damaged; she was dying and having trouble recovering. The late alpha was forced to summon a wizard to endure the power of his son. "I see." Eden nodded as a sign of understanding why they had contact with a wizard. It turned out that it wasn't because of good relations. They just had no other way to help little Alexander escape his dark days by asking their enemy for help.

"Then why do you hate them? What's the real history between werewolves and wizards?" asked Eden.

The two of them entered the room. Eden didn't care about the condition of the room. Simple and smelled damp. She was more concerned with Jackson's story, which may be related to her identity and her Daddy's death.

"Long history." Jackson rubbed his chin. He leaned against the desk in the corner of the room -made of mahogany. This handsome man with glasses and brown hair rubbed his sharp chin.

"I have plenty of time to hear it, Mr. Jackson." Eden sat on the edge of the bed. Jackson watched Eden for a moment, then cleared his throat before starting his story.

Thousands of years ago, all races were still complete (Humans, Werewolves, Vampires, Giants, etc.). All still blend into one in one natural harmony. Sharing living in this vast universe. Each other turned their back away, no one attacking each other until the vampires harassed werewolves.

There was a great fight, a great war that caused all races to become involved. Humans who were the weakest of all types of creatures choose to hide, not wanting to be affected. Because they knew that this brutal battle was not one they could win.

Big downfall happened for the werewolves. Extinction occurred for the race of giants and vampires. Only a handful of them were still alive but in the end they were still displaced by the law of the jungle where the strong ate the weak. And until now no one knew whether the vampires and giants were still alive?

(Eden waited patiently for the next part of Jackson's story)

Werewolves also only have very few left. And they chose to disappear. Then, humans formed a civilization, getting more and more advanced. They also began to learn about magic. Humans learned to hunt, shoot arrows, and also attack with magic.

The existence of humans who first were in the last position began to move, they began to became the highest predators in the food chain. Especially after they had known magic and applied LUMINOUS (the power of magic) in their daily lives.

"Wuah…" Eden was taken aback. So wizards used to be human, they studied magic to make their bodies not age and could do many other useful things.

"Right. But it didn't last long when Fenrir wake up."

"Who is Fenrir?"

"First Alpha who was seen after several decades had passed. He's the alpha that made the werewolves rise against the humans." Jackson retold the story of his kind.

"Oh, that's the story." Eden began to understand why werewolves did not appear in front of humans.

"Because that shity Miguel killed eight humans at once for no reason, then the Wizards came back. And even dare to intimidate us!!" Jackson looked full of anger, his hands clenched tightly.

[Miguel?? What Miguel he means is my dad?? But why did he kill humans?? Dad is the kind man I knew!! He doesn't even have the heart to hurt an ant, let alone kill a human!] Eden's mind was full of restlessness.

"If only the seal on Alpha's hand could be opened. Of course the Wizards are no threat to us." Jackson opened the ivory white wardrobe; The clothes looked neatly lined. The clothes that Alexander bought for Eden.

"Ow… then how to open Alex's seal?"

"So… Alex needs a Luna to open the seal." Eden gave a conclusion.

Eden saw the maid's outfit in a black and white dress like when she worked at the hotel two days before.

"But Alex himself…"

"Stop calling the alpha by his name. From now on you have to call him Alpha or My Lord! Because starting tomorrow, you will be working as a maid at the Lupo family's mansion!!" Yelled Jackson.

"So this dress?" Eden looked at her dress once more time, damn it!! Was this that ridiculous maid dress again?!!

"That's right, Mr. Alexander himself chose the design of the dress! Starting tomorrow, you will wear that dress to be the maid who cleans this house!!"

"Eehhh??" Eden gasped.
