Chapter 49: I Think Ace Is Like You Too, E

A story circulated that Eden served a rich man to earn money. This rumor was the hottest gossip in school.

"I work as a maid!!" Eden denied the scandal. Okay, even though they've been kissing a lot lately, that didn't mean Eden turned into a sugar baby and served Alex's lust for money. She was just a maid trapped by the charm of her very handsome boss.

"Till your boss pick up you here? Don't be kidding, E. Everyone also knows it wouldn't have been possible if there wasn't a special relationship between you two." Bianca giggled.

"Well… you're right." Eden leaned back against the chair. There was nothing she could do but wait for the gossip to flushed away by time. "But it's true; I work as a maid in his house."

"Yes, I believe in you." Bianca said.

The two chatted while waiting for the first class to start. The classroom was still quiet. Several other students who had already come, chose to play soccer or have breakfast in the cafeteria. Only Eden and Bianca were in class.

"Well, see, who has a new friend? One poor and one depress, one frequency'll be matched as a friend. What are you two talking about? You guys look so happy?" Nina's voice sounded loud. This girl was today the leader of the cheerleader team, replacing Bianca. She was the one who liked to make a fuss with the other girls, like a jobless.

"None of your business!" Bianca replied.

Nina walked over to Eden and Bianca's table. She came with a huge man. He's Jimmy, the head of the football team. Jimmy chewed gum while looking down at Eden and Bianca.

[Tsk, another stupid cow is coming.] Eden thought when she saw Jimmy's muscular body, typical of a football player. Eden was pretty sure this man's brain was also made from muscle. The proof was he became a guard dog for this rude girl.

"Go! It's too early to make a fuss, Nina." Eden was lazy to respond to Nina's chatter. What else has to fight with her.

"Tsk, why are you being so brave now, E?" Nina sat at Eden's table. "Don't be arrogant just because now you're a rich man's sugar baby. When he is bored you'll be kicked, then become a cheap slut. Nina's arm rested on Jimmy's shoulder. She ridiculed Eden just like the gossip that was spreading.

"Oh really? You're a sugar baby? Hmm… how much should I pay for one night sex? I'll pay for it, sleep with me tonight. I must be a lot better at satisfying you than that old man." Jimmy stuck out his tongue as aroused when he assessed Eden's body. Eden was beautiful even though her body was thin, like a bone wrapped in skin. "Honestly, I like the petite and slender woman; your miss V must be so narrow and warm when we make love."

"Bastard!! Watch your mouth!!" Eden banged on the table. The girl was annoyed with Jimmy's words that underestimated her pride as a woman.

"You're the one who should keep your mouth shut, bitch!" Jimmy stepped forward and pushed Eden on the shoulder.

"What?? Do you think I'm afraid of you?" Eden met Jimmy's gaze.

"Eden, don't make him mad. Didn't you apply for a scholarship for next semester." Bianca held Eden's arm, so she wouldn't get into trouble with these two dumb couples.

"How can a slut like you get a scholarship? My parents are on the committee at this school! I'll ask them to cancel the scholarship for you." Jimmy laughed at Eden.

"Hahaha… right, Honey!! She should have shame." Nina giggled.

"You dumb cow!!" Eden was annoyed and kicked Jimmy in the leg.

"Ouch!!" Jimmy grimaced. He looked angry.

"Oops...!" It seemed Eden has provoked a cow.

"Insolent, how dare you kick me."? Jimmy raised his fist to reply to Eden. Eden was shocked. The big palm swung to slap Eden. It might have been a lot more painful than Marvel's punch.

Grip!

From behind, a grip caught Jimmy's hand. A taut hand gripped Jimmy's until the young man winced in pain. It took a lot of energy to stop this fat cow.

"Don't even try to move! Or I'll really break it!!" A threat heard.

"Ace!!" Eden exclaimed. The hero came.

"Are you okay, E?" Ace looked side, tracing Eden from top to bottom, from head to toe, to see if there was hurt. If so, Ace would teach Jimmy a lesson for daring to touch Eden.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"Bastard!!" Jimmy twisted his big body and took turns gripping Ace's body. Ace was the captain of the basketball team, while he was the football team's leader. Jimmy's body was much stockier than Ace. Should be stronger.

[Fuck! I can't use my power to harm humans!] Ace cursed in his heart. Well, but did he really have to apply magic just against a kid?

Jimmy lunges at Ace! The big body locked onto Ace's body and pushed him to the ground. Jimmy swiftly raised his fist and punched Ace in the face. Ace held Jimmy's hand accurately.

"Is that all you can do?" Ace smirked, he mocked Jimmy's strength, which was, in fact, so weak.

"Too bad, I can't hurt a stupid creature like you. So, I'll just teach you a brief lesson, brat." Ace kicked Jimmy in the belly and sent the guy flying into the classroom wall.

Eden and Bianca gaped at the sight of Jimmy curled up, clutching his belly. He lost in one shot. Ace won easily and even could hold Jimmy's fist. From an ordinary perspective, Jimmy should hold the bigger potential for victory. This guy was much bigger than Ace. But in reality, Ace was the winner.

"Ugh!!" Jimmy winced in pain, his stomach churning.

"Jim!!" Nina ran over to Jimmy and helped him up.

Jimmy got up, his expression overcome with anger. "Damn you! Watch, I'll come back!" Jimmy threatens Ace. Ace just smiled. Didn't reply to Jimmy's provocation.

"Wow, you're awesome, Ace!!" Bianca complimented Ace. Eden was silent. She had seen Alexander's strength which was far greater than Ace's, but that was because Alex was a werewolf, while Ace...?

"How did you do that, Ace?" asked Eden.

"A little muscle training and knowledge of martial arts." Ace shrugged, trying to convince Eden that there was no special trick he used to beat Jimmy.

"But… but he's even two, ah… no, he's three times bigger than you, Ace!!" Eden asked for an explanation, still in disbelief.

"Why not? Even in film, a bad guy is definitely much bigger than the main character. They win. What if I can beat him by myself?" Ace didn't expect Eden to suspect his skill as a magician. Ace used a little magic spell on his leg power.

"But how did you know Jimmy was going to attack me?" Again, Eden was still wondering.

"I happened to pass in front of your class, E. To go to the teacher's room, I have to pass your class first." Ace answered as natural as possible.

"You're weird, E. Ace is defending you and you're questioning where his power came from?! Shouldn't you be thanking him?" Bianca scolded Eden.

Eden rubbed her forehead. Bianca was right. Keeping in touch with the supernatural world made her brain messy.

"Sorry, Ace. And thank you."

"No problem." Ace smiled and left Eden's classroom.

"Ace is really a great guy. Why don't you guys be a lover? Don't you like him too?" Bianca asked.

"Do you think Ace would like a girl like me? Didn't you always tell me it's impossible for a perfect man like him to like a disabled girl like me?!" Eden gave a long snort. Bianca felt guilty because jealousy always blinded her and bullied Eden.

"But it seems like Ace really has a crush on you. Look at the way he looks at you, E. His eyes gleam with adored. Those are just the stares of men give to the woman he loves." Bianca replied.

"Tsk, how do you know?" Eden's face warmed. Ace was her idol all along. Eden had indeed dreamed of becoming Ace's lover before she met Alexander.

"I used to be a popular girl, E. I realize how guys look when they say they love me. And I see it in Ace's eyes when he looks at you. So, I can bet he likes you too!!" Bianca raised her eyebrows, teasing Eden.

"You embarrass me." Eden touched her face, oh… it felt warm. Eden couldn't wait to be close to Ace at summer camp.

Outside the classroom, Ace was eavesdropping by using his power as a wizard. He smiled sweetly and walked back to his class.

One by one, the students went in the classroom because class was about to start. Nina also entered, she looked at Eden with disgust and hatred.

[Just watch out, E! I will repay you at summer camp later!] she thought.
