Chapter 52: Eden’s First Transformation

The sun began to set. The sky that before was a bright blue color now turned gray. An orange glow appeared around the half sunset. Cold mountain winds began to hit the camp area. All the humans tighten their jackets to keep their bodies warm.

Maxi had stopped watching. It was Jack's turn to keep an eye on Eden. Fifteen minutes had passed, Jack raised his binocular to see how his Luna was doing.

"Hey, Max. Where's that annoying girl?" asked Jack confused when he didn't find Eden in the entire camp area.

"Huh?? She was still talking to a schoolmate before I lowered the binoculars." Maxi sat on the car top. He grabbed the binoculars in Jackson's hands and started looking from side to side of the camp area.

There wasn't! Eden was nowhere to be seen. Where was she?

"Where is she? The sun is almost setting down." Max looked up at the orange twilight sky. Soon the moon would appear to the surface of the horizon.

"Tch, I told her not to mess up." Jackson picked up the spyglass and looked at the tent, who knew Eden was inside. Long time waiting, Eden did not come out. From deep in the forest, Bianca and Nina returned with firewood and water supplies. Jackson was bathing in a cold sweat because Eden had disappeared.

The teachers were busy preparing dinner, while the other children were busy joking and chatting in front of the fire. They play guitar and sing the song, so cherish—familiarity before the graduation exam for class XII.

"Where's Miss Eden, Max??" Jackson started to panic, Eden disappeared from his sight. Jackson couldn't imagine Alexander's face when he found out that Jackson had neglected his duty as Eden's guard.

"Alpha will kill us if Luna gets hurt, Jack! Let's go find her." Maxi jumped from the top of the car. Jackson followed. The two of them turned into wolf forms. Maxi took a deep breath, tracking Eden's scent before running into the forest.

Meanwhile, in the middle of the forest.

Eden's unstable footsteps made both of them stagger. Without Jimmy knowing, his foot stepped on a slippery tree root because of the moss. Jimmy slipped, they both fell down the hillside. Eden was falling away, rolling down onto the dry leaves very fast.

BUMP!

Eden's head hit a rock and bled. Eden groaned. Her head felt very heavy. Soon, Eden fainted. The bloodstone necklace she was wearing fell off when she fell. The necklace chain broke.

Eden opened her eyes wide. The blue-green eyes turned red as blood. Eden's canines began to lengthen. The wound on Eden's forehead closed quickly, leaving only traces of blood.

The smell of dry leaves.

The smell of wet soil.

The smell of mountain air.

The smell of blood…

Eden could smell it all very clearly.

Snifts…sniffs…

Eden could smell faint odors very strongly. She also heard low voices that the ordinary human hearing sense could not even hear.

Insect sound buzzing.

The sound of forest animals.

The sound of running water in the distance.

The sound of the leaves rubbing against each other.

"Ugh!!" Eden felt an excruciating headache. Not adapted yet with her five senses from being so sensitive like a wolf.

[my child! My daughter! Come… come here, set me free!]

A man's voice called out to Eden. Eden's blood-red eyes flashed as she explored the darkness in the forest. Eden could see in the dark so clear, just like Alexander.

[My daughter … child of my beloved one. Set me free!]

"Yes, Father!" Eden unconsciously answered the call that echoed in her mind. Eden seemed hypnotized by that voice.

Eden bent down scratched the skin of her body until it was bleeding, but after that, the wounds regenerated and healed again. The excruciating pain began to overflow. Eden couldn't stand it. The pain burned her body from inside. Eden broke out in cold sweat. Her face was pale.

"AHH!!" Eden screamed again in pain, her bones clinking. Eden curled up her body which now was covered with fine hairs.

"AHH!!" Eden's scream grew louder as her body bent down and her legs and arms lengthened. Saliva dripped from her fangs to her corner lips. Her red eyes turned golden before turning blue and green again.

"AHH...!!" she moaned. Eden's first painful transformation took place.

Eden gasped. Ten excruciating minutes. Eden's fur was pure white — as white as the first snow of winter. It was glittering beautifully.

"AAAUUUU!!!" Eden's howl was so loud. Maxi and Jackson, who had turned into a wolf form, stopped. They were so shocked by this female wolf's howl. Who could howl so loudly than the alpha?

Jimmy, who was lying unconscious, slowly started to blink his eyes. Jimmy was surprised when he saw a wolf with pure white fur staring intently at him. Such a giant wolf. Her fur shone in full with a very bright luster. Jimmy, who was first afraid, just stared in awe, could not blink just for one time. Be mesmerized by this beautiful creature.

[Safe me!! Let me go, My Love!]

The voice called out to Eden again. The white wolf jumped high above Jimmy's head. She quickly ran in the direction of the sound. With her four legs, the wolf jumped swiftly to avoid roots and steep rocks.

The man's voice led Eden to the edge of the lake. Far from the campsite. On the edge of the lake, there was a cave covered with vines. The vines thrived and camouflaged the cave. No one ever realized there was a cave in this place.

[Yes, Girls! Let me out of here!]

The white wolf curled up, her eyes turning blood red again. Eden's figure returned into her human form. Eden approached the mouth of the cave. She brushed away the plant closing the door with her sharp claws. Eden entered the dark cave.

Eden went inside, so deep that total darkness enveloped the cave. The scent of damp and thin oxygen choked her breath. Eden's feet arrived in the deepest area of the cave. There was nothing in there except a silver coffin. Eden stroked the rim of the coffin edge, circled it, and then stopped. Eden could read all the ancient letters that sealed the chest -well and obvious. Eden cast the spell from her lips unconsciously. After saying the magic. Eden fell faint.

[Well done, my child!]

A glimmer of dense darkness shot out from the gap and flew nowhere.
