Chapter 55: Fenrir

"Wolf!!" Ace saw Eden sitting limply with a big black wolf beside her. The wolf's tail wrapped around Eden's naked body so the girl wouldn't get cold. Eden stared blankly, her body still limp from her first transformation as a wolf.

"Wizard!!" Alex growled, showing his fangs. The two of them looked at each other with hateful glances.

"Leave the girl and get out of here while I'm still being patient, wolf!" Threaten Ace.

"You think I'm scared?" Alex snorted, mocking Ace.

"Go away, or I'll make your fur drenched in blood!" Ace formed a seal, his hands glowing.

"Mine? Or Yours?" Alexander smirked.

"Alex… ugh! It's hurt!" Eden moaned in pain.

"I'm here, baby." Alex rushed to warm Eden's body again. Bringing Eden into his big wolf's body made her feel warm and comfortable.

Ace felt jealous. He seemed to be experiencing the same thing one more time. This site was the same as hundred years ago when Ace lost Edith.

"What did you do to Eden?" asked Ace.

"What did I do? I just wanted to ask you that." Alexander growled. He felt great magic when he saved Eden earlier. There must have been Wizard interference in tonight's incident.

Ace looked around the lake and stopped at the cave. He felt a vast magical power just happening there—an evil force, very, very evil. However, there were also traces of white magic power.

"Edith?" Ace could feel the remnants of that magic, Edith's magic.

"Ugh!! Alex!!" Eden felt her body burning from within. Eden's body had a fever.

"My Lord!!" Max came back as fast as he could. Bring two clothes for Eden and also Alexander. His clothes and Jack's.

"Let's go back, baby." Alex put clothes on Eden's body.

"AAAUU!" This black wolf howled for his pack. Kai and Jack would know Alex was back to the pack.

"I won't be fighting you today because Eden's safety is far more important." Alex returned to his human form. He carried Eden like a bride. Eden leaned against Alex's chest. It made Ace's heart throb again. He wanted to hug Eden the same way as Alex hugged Her. Ace wanted to give Eden a sense of safety, a sense of comfort, a great sense of love.

"Ugh!!" Eden moaned in pain.

Ace looked worried, Eden's face looked pale, cold sweat as big as a grain of corn dripped from her forehead. Eden's tiny body was shivering with chilly, and she kept whimpering in pain.

"Let me treat her, Wolf." As a white mage, Ace could heal Eden.

"Don't even dare to touch her, Wizard!! Or I'll cut your head off." Alex was furious. His eyes were bloodshot. Eden must have been hurt because of that full magic, and Ace was a wizard. Alex would be a fool to let a wizard touch Eden. Maybe that's just an excuse to hurt Eden one more time.

"I won't hurt her!" cried Ace.

"There is a doctor in the pack who will treat Eden. I will never let you touch her!" But Alex still couldn't believe him. He ordered Maxi to lead the way back to their car.

Ace could only be silent. Twice, he saw another man take the girl he loved without doing anything because of the rules. Rules of the wizards.

"I have to find out."

Ace stepped into the cave. Once again, Ace formed a seal with his hand and flashed a light to illuminate the path. Ace also let out a fire to burn the bushes that blocked his way.

Ace's feet stepped up to the deepest side of the cave. The place where powerful magic appeared. What kind of magic appeared there? Why was it so thick? Was it forbidden black magic?

Ace saw a coffin made of silver. Around the chest, there was a locking spell that had been unlocked. The magic sealed something dark in there. Something dark had managed to creep out.

Ace was touching many carving symbols of magic runes surrounding the coffin. There were protective spells.

"Edith, Why did you put so much effort into sealing this thing? What the hell is in here?" Ace got to his feet, he burned the vines that covered the coffin. After cleaning, Ace pushed the lid of the heavy chest with the help of a magical spell.

"Wow, it's heavy!" Ace pushed with all his might.

Ace's eyes widened when he saw the content inside the coffin. A werewolf body that had dried into a mummy. Edith buried him alive in there. The werewolf seemed to be dying when Edith put him there. Maybe Edith stabbed him with a dagger before burying his body into this coffin. A black werewolf with claws and fangs as black as steel.

"Fenrir?" Ace paled.

"So all this time, Fenrir was here, locked up in a silver coffin by Edith." Ace fell. It was certain that he made a huge mistake in the past.

"I'm sorry, Edith." Ace was crying.

Meanwhile, at the campsite. Several forestry officers came. A wolf howl was heard twice throughout the night. The teachers were frightened. They called a special unit to deal with wild animals.

The school was asked to stop activities while the officers carried out their duties to explore the forest.

"Eden isn't back yet?!" Bianca was desperately searching for Eden's whereabouts. Bianca was afraid that something terrible would happen to Eden. It was terrifying to imagine that girl being attacked by a beast.

"Jimmy hasn't come back either!!" Nina called out to her teacher. Jimmy, her boyfriend, had not yet arrived at the camp after taking Eden into the forest. The two of them hadn't come back yet. Did that mean the two of them were having a wrong time together? Could a beast eat Jimmy?

"Hey, look who he is!!" Everyone shouted at Jimmy, who had just come out of the woods—walking through the green grass area at the campsite. Together they headed toward Jimmy. But in the middle of the road, the young man fell and fainted.

"Jimmy!!" exclaimed everyone who knew Jimmy. The teachers rushed over to check on his condition.

"What happened??" Why was there a bloodstain on Jimmy's jacket wrist? Whose own? Eden's blood?" Nina was curious, could Jimmy act recklessly and hurt Eden?

Meanwhile, Kairos, who had just found Jack, could only stare. His mouth was wide open when he found out that Jack was badly injured. Who hurt Jack? Who made this?

"Jack!! Jack!! Are you okay??" Kai quickly grabbed Jackson's hand and held it tightly.

"Cough!! Cough!!! I'm freezing, Kai." Jack vomited blood.

"Sshh … keep your energy, Jack. You have to get well soon" Kairos helped Jack sit on his lap, making Jackson feel a little comfortable.

"I'm pretty badly injured, Kai." Jackson felt very weak. "Give my apologies to Alpha, Kai."

"No!! You'll survive!! Don't act like you're going to die, asshole!!" Kai was mad.

"That guy… who attacked me, he's not a wolf, nor a human. I don't know who he is… he's terrifying, Kai. He's a monster." Jackson told Kai about his enemy. He couldn't read Jimmy's strength at that time because something that possessed him didn't show up before they fought.

"Who is he? From which pack?"

"I don't know either, Kai. He's not from any pack. Cough… cough!!" Jackson coughed up blood again.

A wolf howl was heard, calling all the wolves to return.

"Go, Kai. Alpha is calling. He must need you by his side." Jackson pushed Kairos.

"No! I won't give up on you. Just hold on a little longer! And if you want to die. Die in the pack! You bastard!!" Kai cried while cursing. Jackson smiled bitterly.

At the crucial moment, Ace came. He approached the two of them.

"Wizard!!" Kai prepared to fight.

"Who attacked you?" Ace asked Jackson. Kai stood between them. He was still wearing scary fangs.

"I'm not going to hurt you. I'm going to help him get better. Don't worry." Ace made a seal with his hand. A bright light came out again.

"Get out of the way, your friend will die if I don't help him. The werewolf that attacked him has a poison that makes his body too hard to regenerate." Ace pushed Kai. Kai had no choice. He had to save Jackson.

"AHH!" Jackson screamed as Ace touched his wound. Ace muttered ancient language. The bright light made Jackson warm. The wound was healing, and the bleeding had stopped. Ace thought, [This black magic really belongs to Fenrir.]

"Jack?" Kai approached Jackson.

"Kai. I'm fine." Jackson smiled.

"He's still weak. He needs recovery." Ace got up.

"Hey, Wizard!! Are you Miss Eden's friend?" asked Jackson, who recognized Ace. Despite wearing a robe, Jackson seemed familiar with Ace's face.

"Heal yourself before meddling in other people's business. do you remember the man who attacked you looked like?" Ace asked.

"He's the same age as Eden. Wearing baseball jacket. He's big and tall. At first, I thought he was human, but after fighting him, he's so strong. His hands are spitting out black claws, and he's giving off a terrifying aura all over his body." Jackson shuddered at the memory of his fight.

"Okay, that's enough. Go home. You still need a lot of rest. I'll ask you again once you recover." Ace spoke a spell, a strong wind blows. A portal to the magic tower opened.

"Thanks, Wizards!" Kai exclaimed.

"Nothing is free in this world, Wolves." Ace smirked and closed the portal.

Kai turned into a giant wolf. He carried Jackson's body on his back. The two of them left the forest area before the humans found them.
