On the peak of the mountain stood a figure. His eyes were focused as the arm holding was steady. With practiced movement, he reached towards his sides revealing a long rectangle, but thin box. As soon as he touched it, a white arrow appeared in his palms and moved it towards the bow. Placing it upon the string and his breathing changed. It became calm, not a hint of nervousness. As he moved the arrow back, Wan Xiaotong smiled as he could feel the difficulty of moving the sting. Hearing the sounds of heavenly metal bend, he was glad at the present his parents gave him.

Either way, his eyes narrowed as he set his sights on the target.

“And … shoot.”

As he let go of the string, the arrow flew in speeds surpassing his sight. It was a blur of movement as the arrow flew faster. In the blink of an eye, the arrow pierced the creature’s skull. Piercing through its tough skin, metallic-like skull and destroying the brain. Even then, the force of the arrow still continued to pierce through as it left the brain and entered its body. Creating a hole from the top of its skull all the way to its stomach and out.

The creature was dead from the moment his hand let the arrow go.

“Finally, that’s the last fucking time I’m taking this kind of mission. How the fuck can I take a bath in a place like this!” Cried Wan Xiaotong.

“To think dad had to literally throw me out of the sect.” He paused for a moment “… At least he threw me the spirit ring with some supplies.”

Letting go his bow, it began to fall for less than a second before it began to dissipate in a cloud of lights. The same cloud of lights then began to rush towards Xiaotong before it disappeared.

“At least I just have to bring the carcass back to the sect. Don’t really need the body to make any artifacts, since I already have what I need at the moment.” Talking to himself.

Bending his knees, he jumped high into the air as he jumped from mountain to mountain. Reaching to the carcass that was miles away in just under a minute. As soon as he reached the dead creature, he could feel the gaze of something glancing at him. Ignoring it, he pointed his hands to the body and using his qi, the body was sucked into the ring.

“That’s about all of them. Now off to the sect.”

“Wan Xiaotong! You are too arrogant! Just because you’ve been blessed by the heavens with good parents doesn’t mean you get to look down on us.” The teenager coughed blood as he glared at the archer with killing intent.

Wan Xiaotong sighed, “I do have the ability to be arrogant. Yes, I was born into a good family but I at least worked hard to get where I am.”

“Screw you!”

Shaking his head, he ignored the injured teenager as he passed by. No matter where he went, there would always be those who are envious of his good fortune of being born with amazing parents. Before he fully left him behind, Xiaotong turned to look at him one last time. “When I accepted your spar. I hoped it was because we would be able to learn from one another. A spar is training, it is to teach one another. Even so, to use poison with the intent to kill me is another thing. I hope you learn this lesson junior.”

The teen didn’t say anything else as he glared at Xiaotong.

“Goodbye.”

He moved on into the road, Xiaotong couldn’t help but feel sad that once again. People would act this way. When he came to this world, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of wonder. Curiosity and happiness that he got the chance to experience what it was like to be a cultivator. To be honest, he was indeed a bit scared that he might experience some troubling fate. But that worry and fear quickly subsided when he learned that his parents were in fact immortal elders of one of the second-greatest sects in the Heavenly Realm. Especially when his mom and dad were famous elders themselves.

It took him a few days to reach his sect. His leisure walk through the lands led him to a mountain range. The entrance to the place he grew up in had steps leading up into the closest mountain. But before he could enter, there were two guards stationed in order to prevent any trespassers. Showing his plate, they allowed him entrance. Wan Xiaotong bent his knees once more and jumped. Passing over the first mountain and revealing a city built inside the lands of the mountain range.

He continued his jumps as he passed the city until he stopped in front of a building. The building itself was bustling with activity as many people wearing sect clothes came and went. A few flying on top of swords and other flying artifacts. Falling on to the floor, Wan Xiaotong was greeted by the stares of everyone.

“Hey, isn’t that Wan Xiaotong?”

“Oh shit, it’s the Young Master of The Mountains.”

“Huh, he’s here? I thought he would have to take at least a month to finish his mission, from what I heard.”

“Hey, it’s the Young Master!”

“He’s finally back?”

“Maybe I can actually talk to him? Hopefully he agrees to a spar.”

“Keep dreaming brother. You should know he’s not really interested in sparring with a True Martial Realm disciple. Even if you’re at the 1st stage.”

“Wow, he’s so dreamy~”

“Of course he is a Junior Sister. He’s so handsome! I wonder if he would agree to teach me some cultivation.”

“Shut up you whore! I know what you mean by that. Even then, why should he when he teaches a class himself!”

“Ah! Senior sister! Have mercy!”

Wan Xiaotong couldn’t help but chuckle. Entering the building, he was greeted by a large auditorium filled with disciples of the sect going about their day. Many were huddled into groups as they looked up at the boards filled with missions that get updated every day. Off to the side was a store stocked up with essentials that either helped them on their journey or with their cultivation. Ignoring his surroundings, Xiaotong walked to the side, where there was a line for a booth that was much shorter than the others. Standing behind a girl, Xiaotong couldn’t help but give a quick glance at who it was.

She had a rather beautiful appearance. More so than the other girls. Cultivation allowed many to gain beauty and/or retain their youth. It especially helped girls more so than the men, as they loved all things beautiful.

Sensing someone behind her, she turned around to look who it was and gasped in shock to see who it was.

“Young Master Wan Xiaotong?!” She cried out loud.

From up close, he couldn’t help but marvel at her beauty.
