The Incarnate are a fascinating phenomena as we do not truly have any real idea of actually how they result from the interaction of aura and consciousness, we just know they do. All else that we know of them that isn't merely guess work is that they can either be born normally as a member of any race or species, or that they can simply appear from nowhere with no fluctuations of aura at all. The most interesting thing about them in the majority of researcher's views, is that they can range from simple spirits to True Gods such as the Lord of Light watching over us here in Lectoros.

Wander opened his eyes as he felt the new day begin. Standing up and brushing himself off, he looked around his little camp and started to think of what he needed to do today. Several things popped out to him as rather urgent, he needed to test which of his Incarnate skills still worked, get food, and find a more permanent place to live. The skills part was easy so he'd do that first, find some food after, then he'd wander around the forest till he found a good place. Finding somewhere he could fix up should be simple as the forest was filled with the ruins of several old cities and other remnants, he'd just have to take where ever he decided to live from whatever was already there.

His aura flared as he stepped away from he remains of his fire, the crackling purple energy reached a hands length away from his body and seemed to be far more stable than the flame like auras of the inquisitors Wander had seen during the purge. The hypocritical asses had preached of the impurity and unnaturalness of a mages spells while they used the very same power to enhance their bodies. They were gone now though, after everyone Wander had spoken to with any regularity was put to the stake and he had been executed for apparently being a mage even though he was level fucking seven and wasn't even eligible for the class. Sure he had a casting skill but it was the same damn one the priests had.

Shaking his head to clear away his rather justified anger at the now dead order, he turned his attention back to his aura. The energy was slowly circulating in fractal patterns around his body, focusing his mind to its limit he took a simple martial stance. Then he lightly activated the first skill in his list, [Shatter The Skies, Pierce The Earth] his only dedicated combat skill. The world around him promptly shuddered as the skill failed and Wander unceremoniously fell over now bleeding in multiple places.

Quite a while later Wander groaned as he stood up, much of his body now covered in dried pitch black blood still silver in some place but rapidly tarnishing from being exposed to the air. Stretching his arms Wander absentmindedly scratched his blood covered cheek and accidentally stabbed himself in the face with his newfound talons. Pulling his hand away from his face, which was now leaking blood that looked like liquid silver, Wander gazed at his hand with an annoyed look. Sighing at sight of the hand, which now looked almost skeletal with how thin it was, he examined the pulsing silver light visible flowing through his veins and most shockingly the three inch long black talons now replacing his finger nails. With an even deeper sigh he moved his attention to the rest of his body, he was much thinner than he had been and the silver veins were everywhere. Looking down at his bare feet and legs and sighing again seeing that he was at least still plantigrade but that his toenails were also replaced with black talons, though they were shorter than the ones on his hands.

Running his palms across his face but being careful not to stab himself again Wander took a deep breath and pulled at the System.

:Due to a Dissonance Flare all Incarnate skills except for [Flow of The Tides] and [One With The World] have ceased to function:

Stretching once again Wander began to walk toward the nearby creek.

"Well, it could be worse. At least I can just go get food now, after I clean myself off"

As Wander approached the gurgling creek he thought through which of his now disabled skills could have caused his transformation. After a few moments of thought he came to the conclusion that it was due to the combination of [Manifest] and [Visage of Normalcy] both disabling that caused his new appearance. [Manifest] disabling as well had probably been what helped him retain most of his human body as its inactivity rendered most of his ability to shapeshift null.

Laying his shredded, burned, and now blood soaked cloak at the edge of the creek Wander quickly striped and bundled his ragged clothes together and sat them on the cloak, he'd clean that stuff after he got all this blood off of him. With a small near unconscious flex of will the blackened blood turned resplendent silver once again though still remaining dry, a faint black mist rose off of his body and wander watched as the leaves above him rapidly began to decay. Wander looked behind him and saw that where he had been laying all the grass and leaves had rotted and that his foot prints were quickly having the same effect, at least it didn't spread on its own. Seeing this Wander crouched down to take a closer look at his clothes and saw that they were damaged but not nearly to the same extent as the organic stuff was.

"Great I'm poisonous again, haven't had to deal with that in" Wander tilted his head to the side and frowned in thought for a moment before finishing his sentence "eons at the very least. Does a mutagen even count as poison? It probably does, I'd put it in the same category. At least I'm not corrosive, acid blood is always annoying."

Wander nodded to himself and decided better of going into the creek with his apparent toxicity. Instead the classless sorcerer decided to just make himself a bench and a bucket with a few cantrips. He just used his shirt to wipe the blood off of himself after filling the bucket with creek water and then used a few more cantrips to clean his clothes off and fix them up a little. They still weren't brand new but they were certainly better than the ripped up mess they had been. Now he just needed to find food and a place to live for the foreseeable future, Wander felt the world around him for a moment and after feeling that there were still three fourths of the day left he got dressed and took down his wards. Deciding to just grab a rabbit or something on his way south he started walking again.

To the East an arrogant and foolish God decides to answer his peoples pleas to protect them from the coming disaster. He prepares for to summon what is needed he must reach for The Moon That Is Not.
