There are a total of 13 recruitable characters in Another Eden associated with the IDA school. 7 of them are associated with the three part dark apple story-line, leaving 6 as optional for inclusion in the story. (There is also a "none" option for sticking to only using the 6 dark-apple characters and simply ignoring the optional 6.)

Since the "dark-apple" characters will be included in the story no matter what, this poll is about deciding on the other 5. I will refrain from naming "dark-apple" characters to hold back on what few spoilers I can for this whole planning process and just leave it to actual players of the game as to whether or not these characters have their profiles known.

For a quick synopsis on the IDA school, it is a very prestigious super-school complex in Elzion that has enough power that the school itself acts as it's own independent pseudo-government mostly disconnected from the Elzion government. The school complex covers all levels of education from pre-school to university, and is divided into 3 blocks according to level, E block = Elementary school, and H block = Highschool. (The game actually hasn't told the player whether the 3rd block is Middle school, Junior high, or maybe even University at present date.)

Melody

Melody is a medical student at the university-level of the IDA school. She is fairly insecure and has a hard time interacting with people, and she is typically dressed in cos-play because about the only thing that gets her over her fear of other people (especially crowds) is slipping into character as she imitates one of her favorite magical-girl anime characters.

(If not selected, I do not see a good use for Melody at all in the story.)

Mighty

Mighty is known as the biggest sleepy-head in the school's H-block. This is because he actually has a job in addition to his studies in the school, for which he works a night-shift.

This job of his, though, is a little unusual. He is a nightmare hunter. In the world of Another Eden, nightmares are actual spiritual creatures that can cause harm to people, and it is Mighty's job to use his magic in order to enter people's dreams and defeat the nightmares. He also has several strange abilities that include hypnosis, being able to communicate with people in their sleep, and he can cast sleep-inducing magic.

(If not selected, Mighty will pop up from time to time, including playing a minor role in one portion of the 2nd part of the dark-apple story-line.)

Carine

Carine was a battle theory teacher in the H-block of the IDA school. However, she was killed in an incident, but her death was never reported to the school. Instead, she was replaced by her identical twin sister who manifested her grief by wanting to live the life of her now deceased sister, even going so far as to adopt her sister's name and even when she is revealed as an imposter she does not tell her real name.

This sister of Carine was actually a member of a crime syndicate, and was known as one of the most brutal people in the underworld. Her skills in combat are top-notch, and her ability to navigate in the criminal world is such that people in the dark-side of society cringe at the concept of crossing her.

(If not selected, there is no significant storyline that includes Carine. The most significant thing about her is how she gets recruited in the game not through the typical Gacha system, but instead you have to fight her and beat her 5 times after she mistakes you for a student when she's substituting for the practical combat class. If she is selected, this encounter with her will likely be replicated to some extent in the story.)

Sevyn

Sevyn is a student in the H-block of the IDA school who was recruited as a student due to his strange magical talents, which are unusual when compared to the magic typically taught in the school.

Elzion has discovered a way to cast magic via devices using a magic-containing ore called prisma. Using these devices, anyone in Elzion can use magic with the right device and a little training. However, Sevyn belongs to a Shaman bloodline, giving him access to the old magic of earlier points in the time-line, and thus the ability to cast magic without a prisma-related device.

Many of his fellow students doubt his claims of being able to cast magic without prisma. He does not care about this criticism, however. It only bothers him when people single him out to antagonize him or demand a demonstration.

(If not selected, Sevyn does play a part in the Apex of Logic storyline, so he will probably come up at least a few times in the Elzion branches of the story in order to keep the audience familiar with him until it reaches that point.)

Foran

Foran is a somewhat physically-oriented but overall well-rounded student in the H-block of the IDA school. She is the last in the youngest in the line of a family that owns a spearmanship do-jo, and passes down their spearmanship through the women in the family.

Foran, however, dislikes the traditions of her family and is constantly trying to dodge pressure from her grandmother to take over the family do-jo. Despite her protests though, she is actually quite skilled with the spear.

She just wants to live a normal school life and do well in her classes, but her considerable martial skill keeps gravitating her toward combat-related classes and aiding her fellow students who get in over their heads in said classes.

She also has a phobia of cats. (could be entertaining considering cats actually play a somewhat large role in the game (note the artwork of Kyros I used for the temporary cover-art) and that is liable to make it's way into the adaptation)

(If not selected, Foran does show up for a brief scene in the Apex of Logic storyline (smaller than Sevyn's role) and so she might be encountered or brought up at some point previous to this to have her be familiar to the reader.)

Ruina

Ruina is one of the very few elves living in the futuristic city of Elzion, and she has an incredibly by-the-book attitude toward her school life and is constantly reprimanding other students about following the school rules, calling out every minor infraction and basing her entire behavior on whether or not it matches with the school's rules. Meanwhile, she seems to be lacking in some vary basic common-sense knowledge in regards to normal human interaction such as why friends would want to help each other and other common social things of the sort.

(she gives off a somewhat autistic vibe, very much reminding the player of Data from Star Treck NTG.)

(If not selected, Ruina does show up for a brief scene in the Apex of Logic storyline (smaller than Sevyn's role, but vert slightly larger than Foran's role). As such, she will have to be at least briefly encountered and brought up at some point previous to this to have her be familiar to the reader.)
