Chapter Five 

My consciousness continued to float through space. Returning to that state of being I have priorly been in some hours ago, prior to my older brother waking me. I sighed gently as I clenched my hands into a wave. Goodbye. I waved once more. Goodbye cruel world. Goodbye you accrue bastards. Goodbye gross sistercon of mine. Goodbye gross sistercon of mine. It's pretty disgusting to have two siscon zealots in your family. I sighed for a moment before finding my consciousness drawn out from my body.

"To think that a young beautiful girl like you would end up in the hospital is really unfortunate."

The voice of a young man spooked me out of bed. I painted intensely as we began looking each other in the eye. He glanced at me with a look of slight shock and hesitation that wore off as he approached my bed. I shoved my hand right at him and pointed. 

"Who are you!?"

"I am Joseph Bell Camberwick. A twenty two year old bachelorette in the field of medical science. I was pleased to make my entrance."

He spoke with a posh accent and bowed shortly after. His eyes instantly shot at me rubbing my hair in frustration.

"And who might you be, my fair maiden?"

I began to adjust my voice. Changing it slightly to become calmer and fairer.

"Alaska. Alaska is my name."

"Alaska. Alaska. That is a beautiful name for a beautiful girl."

"There's no need for such sophistry to be presented to me. How about we get down to the bottomline of things and discuss why you're in for this visit, doctor?"

He batted an eyelid with me and began to chuckle. It seemed like he hadn't been expecting this sort of directness to come out of me.

"Yes. Yes. I am here to escort you to the hospital's Prana testing center."

He spoke with a slight inflection in his voice. 

"Prana?"

He batted an eye from me and his brow raised.

"Prana, is the life blood of our civilization and allows us to progress beyond our own natures to become more than mud-hut barbarians wandering around the shrouded groves but to become better angels of our own nature!"

'This guy's a bit whack, but I kind of like him. Though I need to make him a bit more loyal to me before I proceed right with my plan.'

"So it's like magic?"

I asked softly in an innocent tone with a slight inflection of joy, making me sound like a teenage girl finding out that her favorite boy band will be in town.

"Yes, but Prana is a type of magic."

I nodded and stood up.

"Let's go to the testing center!"

He began to smile and I smiled joyfully a short moment after causing him to slightly blush.

'Late smiles work a lot better than I expected…'

We began to walk down the hospital corridor and that was when I tugged his white polo sleeve.

"Uh… Doctor, do you happen to go by any nicknames?"

"W-well. I do. My friends call me JB. But since we are going to be with each other for quite some time, how about you give me a nickname and I'll do the same for you."

He smiled.

"Well… How about Joe?"

"That just makes me sound like an old drunk man, so no."

"Oh! I've got it! Juice!"

He stared blankly at me with a void depression forming in his dark brown eyes as the corners of his mouth began to twitch ever so slightly.

"Where did you even get juice from?"

"It sounded cute, so I wanted it."

He began to burn up with a crimson blush.

"I-I-I. I'd prefer sa-somethi-ng more appropriate. S-something that wouldn't be a nickname between two guys in middle school."

My mouth curved into an o as I raised my pointer finger.

"Oh! I've got it! You will be Bell!"

"I don't think that works as a nickname since it's quite literally my middle name but let's stick with it."

"Alright!"

I smiled and looked out the window, only to see that there were two moons. A little red moon and a large blue crescent moon that was wrapped around the little red one.

'Did I just go to another world?!'

"What nickname would you have for me!?"

I squeaked like one of those little sister archetypes in anime.

"How about Ally?"

I shook my head.

"It's not very cute."

I pouted and he began to smile.

"Then how about Eiren."

I stared at him.

"How did you get Eiren out of Alaska?"

I tugged him slightly at the shirt.

"Since your name is Alaska and that means cool in Saronian, I decided to use the Faresian world for cool and that is Eiren. And since you wanted cute, I chose Eiren . After all, it sounds cute to me."

"Ah! I see! You're such a prodigy!" 

I said as I gave him a captivating stare and began to sign in awe.

"It's nothing really."

I tugged his shirt once again.

"But Eiren isn't a cute name though."

"Well then how about Eren?"

I smiled.

"Eren it is!"

'Wait. I just have the same name as that guy in Attack on titan.'

"Eren please hold my hand as we descend this flight of stairs."

"Alright!"

I began to blush slightly and held his hand as he guided me down the stairs. He walked down the stairs slowly. A lot slower than I wanted and expected him to go. But it seems like he is being especially careful with me. As we made our way down the stairs I continued to glance into his eyes. His eyes were filled with passion and dedication. A dedication in serving his patients with absolute care and respect. Or at least that's the vibe that I'm getting from him.

'He really looks like the type to be a masochist. Not implying that I'm going to dominate him or anything. BDSM isn't my thing. But if he had to serve under Angelica he would definitely be a limp dicked simply following every one of her orders. After all, this bitch has a baby face!'

"We are here."

His voice rang me out of my thoughts.

"Please wait here as I sign a few documents."

I nodded and he began to walk away. But before he managed to walk away, I nudged the end of his shirt and looked down towards the floor. I began to creep the words out of my voice.

"Thank you for helping me Bell."

"No problem."

He lit up with a smile and disappeared behind the counter. 

'Now it's just me and my thoughts.'

I rested my head onto a chair and began to get a bit of shuteye.

"Hey, Eren, I'm back."  

His voice returned me to consciousness.

"Sorry that I took so long. There were so many more documents than I thought there would be."

I nodded.

"I have no problem with Bell. After all, it's just an inevitable part of what you have to do."

He smiled.

"Now shall I take you to the testing site."

I nodded and he led me by the hand.

"Hey Emma I've brought her over."

A blonde woman turned around and smiled.

"Good. Now let me lead her into the location." 

Bell had let go of me and "Emma" had grabbed my hand in his place and took me down the corridor.
