Chapter 128: Chapter 127 – Gas Attack

  Seeing that he was fine, however, Yaomu Shou soon released a sigh of relief. She didn’t want anyone here to be caught, as these accursed things’ intention is a fate worse than death!

  When she turned around and looked at everyone else, however, her eyes shrank in shock!

  Vines of varying lengths erupted from the ground and coiled around a majority of the pandas that were charging in.

  She looked around the battlefield and saw Xiannu Liang who was executing a set of hand signs like a certain ninja.

  “S-She’s an actual Nymph!?”

  Long Di was watching everything from the carriage as wordlessly and impassively as always, ‘Oh yeah, we never told Yaomu Shou that she was a Nymph. Plus, she can control plants? I mean, I expected it but seeing it happen is so different. They look pretty weak though… meh.’

  Even though the vines coiled around the pandas, the latter was tearing through them as easily as ever.

  However, no matter how many they tore through, more just kept appearing without end. Though they were able to rip them off their body as soon as they entangled them, they still served as a major impediment to the pandas.

  Long Di ignored Yaomu Shou’s shocked demeanour and observed everyone else.

  Shen Ling was using a sword to kill the pandas that were partly restrained by the vines. Her eyes plunged them into a darkness that they found absolute fear in. She would then behead each one with a sword that Long Di had given to her since the move intrinsic to her… heritage that was safe for her to use didn’t have a killing aspect to it.

  At first, she was being swarmed by them with no end, most likely because of her beauty. However, after she executed the first chapter of the Abyss Scripture, known as Peer Into The Abyss, they started to avoid her like the plague.

  Feng Yu and Jia Yan were practising martial techniques that Long Di had bought for them to complement the weapons that they seemed to be comfortable with.

  He was more or less surprised that Zi Yu was holding her own. She employed the use of a more unusual weapon. It was a folding fan.

  It was dark blue, thus matching her skin colour, much like the majority of the members of the Zi family. There were also intricate designs carved upon it that lent it an elegant air.

  He was drawn in by her, dare he say, graceful moves. Her eyes were closed as she appeared to be performing a dance of sorts. It was mesmerising to watch as each movement drew blood from these hulking beasts with a swing of her fan.

  Several cauldrons surrounded her as they rotated around her in a unique rhythm.

  The pandas swung after her but missed ever so slightly each time and their own movement became more and more sluggish the more blood they lost.

  Because of her sensual moves, the pandas were drawn to her. Blinded by their lust, they only sought to ravage her and nothing else.

  However, due to the combination of her strange moves and the fan she wielded, the carnage she wrought was immense.

  Limbs and heads collected around her as the blood that flew around in an arc created a scene of sanguineous beauty. The fan she held met little resistance as it cut through flesh and bone.

  Its lethality alone would have one know that this was a low-grade black rank secular weapon! There was no doubt that something this incredible and powerful was the ancestral weapon of the Zi family.

  “So not totally useless in a fight.” Long Di nodded.

  Before long, however, he focused his attention on Tie Lang. The latter had yet to activate the same claw-based divine ability that he had activated against the bandits.

  ‘Why is he unable to replicate it? I’m pretty sure these rapey pandas are more dangerous than the bandits,’ Long Di thought to himself.

  After a while, he could only deduce that whilst the danger was greater, Tie Lang’s naivety had been largely grounded away. Because he had more experience with dangerous situations, the stimulation that led to his first awakening was much greater than now.

   “I guess more time will be needed. Besides, at that time, Tie lang only pushed himself to that point because Jia Yan was in danger. He’s one of those people that puts his friends’ well-being ahead of his own. He’s a fool alright, but it does make him likeable. Something tells me we’ll be getting into these types of situations more often. Hopefully, when the opportunity comes for him to find himself at that moment, he doesn’t waste it.”

  It wasn’t long before a majority of the pandas were entirely slaughtered. As of now, there was only one left in the group that surrounded them.

  The rest of the groups that were closing in on them were still some distance away. As such, they had time to have the Super Donkeys hightail it out of here.

  Feng Yu was about to slay the last panda when a bizarre scene took place.

  When the sole panda realised that its entire embarrassment had been slaughtered, a feeling of fear welled up in its eyes. Suddenly, its black and white fur underwent an inversion.

  Yaomu Shou instantly woke up from the shock caused by the realisation of Xiannu Liang being a Nymph and shouted to warn Feng Yu.

  “Feng Yu, get away quick!”

  But it was too late, this all took place too quick and too sudden. Feng Yu’s blade was already slashing down when the warning came.

  The panda released a burst of grey gas from a peculiar area on its body that caused Long Di to raise a brow in controlled curiosity.

  Feng Yu’s vision was immediately obscured by the gas, and her blow lost its target. She landed in a way that allowed her to retain her footing as she tried to back away from its range of attack.

  However, she was still in the area covered by the gas as it spread at an impressive rate. Yaomu Shou then looked to Long Di since the gas was encroaching upon them as well.

  “Everyone don’t breathe in the gas, make your way to the carriage now!”

  As she said this, the gas already washed over them including Long Di who heeded Yaomu Shou’s warning.

  “What about senior apprentice sister Feng Yu!?”

  Tie Lang, Jia Yan and Shen Ling all looked back in the area their senior sister was in as the gas engulfed her!

  Yaomu Shou’s face became red with anger as she looked upon these fools!

  “Get in the DAMN carriage!” Yaomu Shou’s shriek spurred them into listening to her. However, their heads all turned back to where they last saw Feng Yu as they made their way to the carriage.

  Yaomu Shou made her way to Long Di who was in front of the carriage. The gas affected her vision, but she remembered where they were so she relied on that to find her way easier.

  A crazed roar echoed out from within the depths of the fog. Its location was impossible to discern as this gas messed with the senses.

  Her neck snapped to Long Di with concern, “We need to save her now! Can you sense her!?”

  “What is this?” as Long Di asked this, his spiritual force gushed out covering a wide field.

  When Yaomu Shou felt him searching, she answered, “It’s an extremely potent aphrodisiac! It’s very powerful and is capable of debilitating cultivators while raising the battle prowess of the pandas! The drawback, however, is that they’ll go berserk, awakening a disturbing sadistic nature within them!”

  Yaomu Shou’s voice reached Long Di even as his spiritual force searched for Feng Yu’s whereabouts.

  Xiannu Liang and Zi Yu reached them a bit later and climbed inside the carriage per Yaomu Shou’s command.

  “There!” Long Di pointed in one specific direction.

  Yaomu Shou immediately dashed off in that direction!

  It wasn’t long before everyone, barring Long Di, lost sight of her, her figure disappearing in this fog-like environment.
