“Savage Taitan?” Long Di questioned.
“First Brother!”
****
The giant leapt up from under the bird with a jump. He stared at Long Di with a giant grin.
“Savage Taitan! What are you doing!?” Chen Jie yelled. He was angry that he got injured thanks to this brute.
“Sir Er Jinshu charged us with capturing that brat! If you help me, your earlier blunders can be overlooked.”
Savage Taitan looked at him with a bored expression for the length of his harangue. When he was finally finished, he then directed his gaze towards Long Di.
“First brother, it’s good to see you again! How have you been!?” Savage Taitan came over to Long Di despite Chen Jie being right behind him.
“Uhm, so…” Long Di apprised Savage Taitan of the situation in the most compact and efficient way possible.
When Savage Taitan heard everything, he looked behind Chen Jie and could see a horde of people coming over. Obviously, Untethered Monk was holding back Full Metal Er Jinshu, but more and more people were able to slip past him to get here.
“Hahahahahaa!!!” Savage Taitan let out a thunderous bellow when he heard everything.
“Good! Good! Good!” He patted Long Di’s shoulder three times with pride. “I expected as much from my first brother. Any less and you would have to step down!”
Obviously, he was pleased with Long Di’s performance since his absence. If Long Di was this terrifying, then he couldn’t wait to meet the apparently stronger second brother!
“So, what are you gonna do now?” Long Di finally asked.
Savage Taitan flashed a savage grin to this first brother of his, “This is beneath you. Your real fight is coming! Live for me, first brother!”
Savage Taitan grunted as he hefted his giant axe and turned to face Chen Jie who was silently recovering.
This was one of the problems with backlashes of this type. The injuries were caused by his own power, so the recovery potency was far weaker even though he was drawing on the energy of the earth to heal.
When Chen Jie saw Savage Taitan staring at him with the same savage smile, an uneasy feeling arose in his stomach.
“Savage Taitan, what are you-”
D-D-D-D-Dum!
Boom!
Before he could finish his question, Savage Taitan’s cauldrons exploded into existence before he darted in Chen Jie’s direction like a bolt of lightning!
“E-Earthen wall!”
Chen Jie hurriedly erected an earthen shield, but it was the most basic of defences in front of a monster like Savage Taitan.
Bang!
It was blasted through by Savage Taitan with little effort, and the latter already had the massive axe for an overheard strike.
His blood qi was towering and veins covered his arms as he brought down his axe with a crushing force!
Bam!
The axe landed on Chen Jie’s shoulders, cleaving his arm from his body!
“Ah!”
A roar of pain echoed out. It was pitiful enough to incite compassion from even the staunchest of enemies.
Long Di on the other hand couldn’t give two sh*ts about what was happening there.
“So, we’ll be leaving now,” he said, ignoring the bellows of pain over yonder.
Yaomu Baiyin and the rest nodded, “Okay!”

The two girls picked up Shen Ling and Xiannu Liang while Lu Pei picked up Jia Yan.
Shu!
They shot off once more towards the exit. At the moment, there was nothing between them and freedom.
Long Di rummaged through his storage ring and took out a large chunk of medium-grade spirit stones stuck together.
This was the amalgamation of spirit stones he had found at the top of the cavern back then. Right now, however, a great deal of it was gone.
This was all that Long Di managed to save after the explosion went off. He then took out an empty storage ring and placed the spirit stones inside it.
He then threw it to Lu Pei who wasn’t expecting this.
“No givesies-backsies,” Long Di held his hand up.
He further explained by saying, “I already have a medium-grade spiritual vein root, okay. Now I don't mean to brag, but I am filthy, stinking rich right now. With that said, you need a lot of help and resources and something tells me that the Soaring Cloud Immortal Sect is about as effective to you, as every bank has been to everyone ever. By the way, I’m unstable, so if you throw that back to me I’ll smash it.”
Lu Pei’s words were caught in his throat as Long Di’s spiel effectively didn’t give him a chance to refuse.
Not long after, they finally arrived. The exit was right before them by now. It was a massive portal of swirling energy. Spatial laws circulated in a particular pattern.
“We made it!” Zi Yu was ecstatic.
Yaomu Baiyin was happy as well, “Alright, let’s get out of here!”
“Wait,” Long Di stopped them both.
“What? You remember we’re doing this to get you out of here right!?” Yaomu Baiyin pointed.
Even Lu Pei was confused by Long Di’s actions. There wasn’t much time left. They had roughly three to five minutes before the laws were restored.
“Just… hear me out for a second. It dawned on me after the Imperial Divine Edict was destroyed, that the entire junior adjudication committee went missing,” he pointed.
“So?” Zi Yu didn’t know where he was going with this. If anything, they didn’t mind if the entire committee was eaten by wild beasts.
“Where do you think they went?” Long Di asked.
“Who cares!?” Yaomu Baiyin was more than ready to leave!
“Think,” Long Di pointed at his head. “If he wasn’t with everyone else. It’s okay to assume that he left the realm already. Now if he’s already on the other side of that portal. What do you think we’ll be running into there?”
As soon as he said this, everyone’s expression turned solemn.
They didn’t think of this. Yaomu Qiang’s presence, or rather, his absence is indeed a cause for alarm.
There was no need to guess. If Yaomu Qiang really was outside the realm. That was the worst-case scenario.
There was no doubt that he would tell all the other powerful experts about Long Di and who he killed.
Long Di was powerful, sure, but there was no way for him to face off against those powerhouses outside, right? Especially when he’s as weak as he is now.
“Then what can we do?” Zi Yu was now very worried.
“Well… that star has officially finished terraforming, so… become my dharma protector this once. Let no one approach me.”
“What do yo-”
Whoosh!
Hong!
Before Lu Pei could finish asking what he needed to ask, a tsunamic surge of pure spiritual energy gushed from Long Di’s body as he activated his Profound Myriad Heavenseize Physique!
Within the sea of stars that littered the domain of his physique, there was a particular star that shone with a spiritual brilliance!
