Next to a river a huge group of people were resting. They have been on the run for hours and had finally got a moment to catch their breath. The group thought what better place to rest than right beside the flowing river which helped them quench their thirst.
Next to this group was a couple sitting with their week old child, talking to him as if he could understand everything. Only the parents did know that the child could understand everything.
Other's looked at them with mixed feelings, some thought the parents had lost their mind while other's thought that they might be afraid they'll never make out of their current situation.
However, it didn't matter to the family of three. They were too busy conversing with each other, as it has been long when they had a family conversation like this. Years and worlds apart, the family of three was filled with euphoria even when they knew it will be short-lived.
Satvik was astonished that his parents were given a second chance in this world. They told him that, after their untimely death they were informed about their time on earth had earned them a lot of good karma by the God himself. So after discussion with the God regarding how they should be rewarded for their Karma, the God suggested rebirth in this world.
'It was planned all along', thought Satvik to himself.
At first they didn't knew that they will carry on with the memory of their past lives. However the God told them that they both have a mission to accomplish and bit by bit the grand scheme was revealed to them.
Then Satvik's father looked at him with a pleased and prideful smile and said, "Well I could never feel more proud after knowing that my son was chosen to be an apostle of God. Especially the apostle of one of the Trinities." Though same could not be said for the mother for whom concern for one's child takes precedence over feeling of pride.
Satvik's mother was not as happy as his father, she know that he was chosen to be the apostle of a god, great challenges were waiting for his child in future. She was concerned for the son she had lost and was about lose all over again. If looked deeper into her heart, she might be more furious and sad rather than prideful.
But for Satvik all that matter right now were his parents. He couldn't even remember how many times he had wished and prayed to the Gods, only to see his parents one more time.
He could never have imagined he would his parents in another world. He only wished he could've talked to them as well. Tell them everything about his short life.
But, later he thought there was no need to rush. He will be able to tell them everything once he grow up and is able to speak. For now all he did was looked his parents with smile.
Satvik did not share the dread and knowledge that the parents had.
After few more precious moments of bantering between husband and wife the atmosphere suddenly became heavy.
"Satvik we know that you are just an infant for now but we're very well aware that you have all the understanding of an adult person" said his father with serious expression.
"I will get straight to the point, both of us were given this life for this moment, for you" continued his mother.
Satvik was not able to process sudden change in the direction of their conversation. A few minutes ago they were all laughs and giggles but now the atmosphere around them had become heavy, foreboding something bad. His yet to improve instincts made him scared and wary of the coming conversation.
"Your mother and I have to grant you skills that might help you out in your future endeavors" said his father.
'OH!! It's just that, PHEW.' he thought to himself. He was afraid that something more was needed to be done. However his train of thought was brought to a halt by his mother's next sentence.
"We know as well that your status is locked. So we have to infuse our skills into your soul directly."
"In this world the skills are gained in two ways basically; the first one by defeating monsters/enemies and leveling up while the other way is through blessings of divine" came the explanation from his father.
"However there's another way. If a person wants he can transfer one of his skill to another i.e., their child, through his soul" continued his father and let the information sink in.
"So basically we both will transfer our skills through our souls."

Satvik was able to make out what they were trying to say in an instant. He wanted to say something in protest but all he could do was cry. He could not express the fright that was spreading through the nerves of his body at that very moment.
"Sheesh! When did you became such a crybaby?" questioned his father with a sad smile.
"We aren't going anywhere, instead we will be together with you forever" said his mother while hugging. She was holding back her tears as well.
"We don't have long. The army of the Theocracy would've resumed their pursue" said his father.
Satvik's mother nodded and after kissing him one last time she gave him to his father and with eyes full of tears she started chanting.
"I pray to Aditi, Mother of all;
Let me be the eyes of this child;
So he can clearly see everything and all"
When those words left her lips her body started to disintegrate slowly.
She then looked at Satvik and gave him a gentle beaming smile and said, "I'm happy that at least we could say our goodbyes. I have and will always love you son."
Satvik could not help but keep on crying while her mother's body slowly disintegrated and the light particles that were left enveloped Satvik's body. As the light particles entered his body, Satvik could feel a warmth spread all around his body starting from his eyes, but it did little to help his grief.
"I'll be on my way, love" muttered Satvik's father with a catch in his voice. It was hard for him to see his wife, the love of both his life to fade right before his eyes.
Then he started running towards a small town of Doina, which was to the west from their current location. The group which was resting near the river also dispersed in different directions. Making it hard for enemies to follow them.
While he was in his father's care Satvik's cries never stopped. This was the second time he had lost his mother and his father was next.
Satvik father said while running, "Why are you crying, your mother is already with you. You have her eyes now, just try to look around."
After he said that, Satvik tried to open his eyes and then he saw his father enveloped in faint blue aura.
His father notice that he had stopped crying. So he explained further and said, "I don't know much about her ability except the fact that whenever you see a person with Purple Aura, you should stay away from them. Person with Purple Aura have Ashanti's blessings so they're your counterpart."
"Don't engage with them until you've gained enough strength. Otherwise, the Gods of this World would become aware of your existence."
"You'll discover other abilities of that skill bit by bit with the passage of time."
Satvik with eyes still wet, started observing his surroundings.
He could see things he could never before, such as presence of mana in trees which were not meant to be seen by the eyes of any regular mortal. He had his mother's eyes to thank for this new ability. Tears came unbidden to his eyes at the thought of it again.
