A man with grey hair was sitting on an elevated throne made of gold with his chin resting on the back of his hand. He was wearing a ceremonial luxurious robe and his pearl blue eyes were looking downwards.

The throne room was round and supported by large columns that were painted with different scenarios of a God in his glory and granting blessings and creating miracles.

A man in military uniform was in front of him kneeling on one knee with admiration and a hint of fear in his eyes. The fear might overshadow the admiration if the upcoming conversation doesn't go well.

"Did you ensure it by yourself, that there were no one left alive at that settlement?" asked the man on the throne with authoritative tone.

"Yes sire, I personally took command of the operation" said the general, still on his knees.

"They tried to escape but we pursued them for weeks and finally annihilated all of them."

The man on the throne was pleased by this information and said "Very well, I will take your words and inform Lord Ashanti that the crusade was successful".

"You may now leave general and take a good rest."

The general bowed his head once again and left the throne room. 'The crusade went better than I thought it would' he thought with a heavy sigh.

When he left, the person sitting on throne looked towards a woman standing next to him. She had honey colour straight hair which reached her waist and azure eyes. She was a beauty standing with proud shoulders, chiseled features and stood at 165cm.

She was wearing white colour sleeveless blouse with revealed abdomen and a bright red long skirt which highlighted her beauty to next level.

The man then asked her, "What do you think Aneeta? Was he telling the truth?"

The lady closed her eyes and after a pause started to speak, "Well to be honest I'm not sure Nastik. At first I felt a divine aura of false Gods from this particular settlement. But, after the crusade the presence has vanished. So let's assume the person responsible for such fluctuation in aura is dead." This was the gift that had proven most beneficial to the followers of Lord Ashanti.

Nastik nodded his head and said, "It seems they haven't learnt their lesson. Still trying to interfere in our world, quite persistent don't you think?" There was a hint anger and hatred in his voice that was got stronger with every word he uttered.

Aneeta was deep in her thoughts, so she kept quiet. She did not share the emotions of her husband.

Nastik sighed and asked his wife, "What are you thinking now?"

Aneeta hesitated first but then said outright what was on her mind, "was it necessary to kill so many of our people? We could've simply imprisoned them and after few months when they would saw that their false Gods didn't come for their aid, they would've switched to our lord Ashanti."

"hahahahaha" Nastik laughed while patting his thighs with false joy. If evil laugh ever thundered in beautiful halls, this was one of them.

"You don't know this, but human are not such fickle beings. The more despair they go through, the stronger they believe in their God" said Nastik. "I know that you feel sorry for these people. Trust me, it's not easy for me as well. But these actions were necessary to prevent future conflicts and genocide. We have to ensure, that these false Gods don't establish their foothold in this world. If they are able to gain enough believers, no one knows better than us what they are capable of doing."

After Nastik finished his explanation, Aneeta could only nod to his beloved's view point. To her it didn't feel right to annihilate such large groups of people given that they use to be the believers of the same pantheon and had fought with the blessings and grace of these gods which now they accuse of being false ones. Their faith has changed under the most irregular circumstances and it seemed somewhat unfair to ask everyone to change their faith as well without giving them an opportunity to understand.

"I hope that Karma doesn't come knocking on our door later for all these atrocities" said Aneeta with a sigh. It was hard for Aneeta to let go of ideologies that she has grown up believing, even if they had turned out to be false.

"Good and Bad karma were the propaganda of those false one's. Lord Ashanti has assured me that he would protect us even from the death itself" replied her husband while rolling his eyes at his wife's naivety.

Suddenly a cackling sound came from the door of the hall. Then a mother and son pair arrived in the throne room.

The woman was dressed in sky blue long dress which complimented the thick golden braided hair that reached her knees. She had bright red eyes and had a prideful look on her face. She was taller to Aneeta and stood at 175cm.

In her embrace was a child aged about 3 years with short blonde hair and black eyes, due to his father's genes.

"What's with this gloomy environment all of a sudden?" said the woman with the child in her arms. She was Sona, Nastik's second wife.

Nastik and Aneeta both looked at the new visitor and simply shook their heads.

"Nothing much, just daily work and duties" said Nastik while shrugging his shoulders.

"Sheesh you guys have become so boring. I miss our adventurous days. We three use to have so much fun with Mrs. Bones and Mrs. Musclehead included" said Sona while reminiscing about the old days.

Nastik went towards Sona and embraced his child. He took the child in his arms and started rocking it back and forth lovingly. "How is our princess?" he said while mumbling other things to his son in a playful and childlike voice.

Sona sighed and said, "You know, once he starts understanding and speaking you will definitely regret calling him princess. He might beat the crap out of you someday for this."

Nastik laughed and said while puffing his chest, "Well he can try."

Aneeta just stood there and shook her head in disappointment. Her husband was a tease and sometimes went too far with his antics. So she couldn't deny the possible scenario in future, just as Sona said.

"So where are the other two?" asked Aneeta to Sona.

"Well Mrs. Bones is sleeping as always and do I even have to tell where Mrs. Musclehead is?" said Sona while shrugging.

'Training grounds' thought Aneeta to herself. Her husband's wives are an eccentric bunch with weird personalities. Though she never felt jealousy or irritation towards them, they were one big happy family with their share of sour and sweet moments.

"Let's go out to have some nice lunch somewhere in the city" said Nastik with excitement in his eyes.

"Oh look Tikona, daddy wants to take your mothers on a date after eternity" said Sona to her child while teasing Nastik.

Nastik rolled his eyes, it was true that he couldn't spend quality time with his wives anymore as he used to due to the ongoing crusades but she shouldn't taunt him regarding that.

He knows they understand the duties that come with the throne but he does believe that none of them understand the importance of the crusades as much as he does. 'Soon I will show them. Soon everyone will change their mind', he thought.

While shaking his head he said, "Get the other two and be ready within an hour we'll go and have some fun together like we use to."

"Oh dear getting ready in an hour that to for a date after so long is a no-no" said Sona which earned Aneeta's nod as well.

Nastik sighed and said, "Take your time" while waiting for them which felt like an eternity.
