In the grasslands near Doina town, a child was standing in presence of two monster sized birds without any ounce of fear in his eyes.

"So why are you both back in your monster form or whatever it's called, no offence?" asked the child to the avians while picking his nose with his pinkie finger.

"Heheheh, because it seems a rescue party is coming in our direction for your rescue. Since, we don't like the human race very much because of their greed and ignorance, it's better to intimidate them from the get go" explained the peahen while telepathically putting her thoughts in the child's mind.

"Well seems reasonable, wait what? How can I understand your thoughts without you even speaking anything?" asked the flabbergasted kid.

"Well you can thank your father in law over there. The feather with a drop of our blood makes it quite busted artifact or something like that" the peahen explained to the child.

"With that necklace you should be able to understand and telepathically communicate with demigods from the other race as well" said the peacock in a haughty tone.

'Sheesh these guys are walking treasure trove or something' thought the child. Then he looked back at the peahen and thought, 'well at least she is' while remembering her divine humanoid form.

"Kyah! Our son in law is looking at us with lecherous gaze. Someone save this beautiful woman" shouted the peahen while shaking her body.

The child rolled his eyes and sighed while muttering, "I never had to use my brain cells this much since my arrival in this world. I will miss you MOTHER IN LAW!"

Although it was quite difficult to make out from her physical appearance and expression now, the kid was pretty sure that she was genuinely delighted by his compliment right now.

Suddenly the Peacock spread his wings and let out an ear splitting scream. When the child looked in the direction of the Peacock to complain he saw a group of humans were kneeling on the ground.

"Hey! Those are my parents, can't you cut them some slack. They will certainly have a heart attack if you continued screaming like that" said the child.

'First of all you don't have to talk to us verbally now. We are connected telepathically and Oh! Look it's our future in laws' said the peahen and further continued.

'Remember this very well Satvik, never tell anyone about what we talked and only tell selected people that you trust about that necklace as well' Voice of the Peahen turned dead serious and she stared right at the kid while telepathically communicating this warning.

'The features of that necklace, makes it priceless and it will indirectly make you a target if its abilities were discovered by the wrong people.'

The kid nodded. The peahen closed her eyes and bowed her head down closer to the kid before giving him a last goodbye kiss on his forehead.

Then suddenly a voice broke the silence.

"Waters hot!"

A ball of water appeared out of nowhere and started zooming towards the Peahen.

But before the spell could reach the Peahen, the Peacock came forward and stopped the spell using only one of his wing to block it from reaching its intended mark.

When Peacock lowered his wing everyone could see that the Peahen was caressing and rubbing her head on Satvik's chest as if playing with him which made the other chuckle a bit.

The human group dropped their jaws. They all thought the kid was a goner but instead he was being treated like a pet.

Then the child stepped away from the two monstrosities. With a single flap of the wings, both the avians soared towards the sky. Leaving the kind behind waving happily at them.

The night had already dawned upon the Doina town. Everyone had already returned to the safety of their walls from their day's labor.

In a dimly lit room of a small house in the town. A woman with slightly pale complexion was sleeping in her bed.

Aisha, opened her eyes with slight exertion only to find Satvik sleeping on a chair next to her bed, while holding her hand.

She slowly stood up and put Satvik next to her on the bed slowly while making sure so as to not to wake him up. Then she started humming a lullaby while caressing his head gently.

Satvik's expression changed and he slept with a smile while scooching closer to her.

"Sheesh! You have become quite a trouble magnet these days and it's not good for my heart" muttered Aisha while smiling gently.

Her body was still recovering from the backlash of using her entire mana in one go, so she too surrendered herself to drowsiness and fell asleep.

When Satvik heard the sound of her snoring he peeked at her with his one eye, to confirm she was sleeping.

"I'm really sorry mum! But my life's sole purpose is looking for trouble" he muttered lowly with a sigh and sorrowful eyes.

He knew it very well that till the time he stays with his parents, trouble will always come looking for him.

Then he closed his eyes and fell asleep as well. He dreamt of vibrant colors as seen on the feathers of a Peafowl.

_______________

Cheerful chirping of the birds broke Aisha's slumber. Then she sat up while yawning and found Satvik on her right side while Dhruv was sleeping on the chair next to her bedside.

A chuckle escaped her lips. She had found Satvik in similar position last night and now his father was there taking his position.

Her chuckle was the cause of Dhruv waking up. He looked at her wife with half opened eyes.

Her complexion was back to normal which made Dhruv sigh in relief.

"You know, you did something utterly stupid yesterday?" said Dhruv to her.

"tsk! That was not stupid at all. I don't know how you were able to save Saati from being eaten but at that moment I couldn't think of anything else" said Aisha while protesting.

"So how did you save him?" asked Aisha, while cunningly diverting the conversation away from her actions?

Dhruv gazed at her in annoyance. She was trying to outsmart him and trying to avoid her well-deserved lecture.

Then he raised up his arms in surrender and said with a sigh.

"Well after you attacked them and passed out, we were lucky that those monsters didn't attack us right back. One of them, the male one I think was looking furious, although I can't how exactly I know that because nobody could decipher their expression. Instead they just looked at us and just left."

"What?" questioned Aisha with shock written all over her face.

"I know you won't believe but that monster-peahen was not gobbling Satvik rather she was cuddling with him like some random animal."

"I know it's hard to believe, but that's true. When I interrogated Satvik regarding the whole situation, you know what he said?"

Aisha shook her head, so her husband completed his explanation.

"He said that those birds were just asking for directions to Kaziranga kingdom, imagine that!!"

"And they gave him a present as well. You see that necklace over there around his neck" said Dhruv while pointing at Satvik.

Aisha hurriedly opened Satvik's shirt to find a pretty Peafowl feather in some makeshift necklace around his neck.

She tried to touch the feather and when she hovered her fingers over it, it glittered a little.

She pulled her hand back and then looked at Dhruv and said, "So they didn't mind the fact that I attacked them?"

Dhruv shrugged his shoulders and said while chuckling heartily, "I'm pretty sure we were able to come out of this situation unscathed because of this young devil."

Then they both sighed in unison. They couldn't understand how come a child in such a small age can be bravely facing scenarios that would make even an adult falter in fear.

"I will go and prepare breakfast, you two should rest a little more. I've caused a little trouble myself for you both" declared Aisha while she brushes her hairs and got ready for another day of routine.

Dhruv said nothing and only nodded.

When Aisha left he looked at Satvik and words of vagabond came to his mind, 'the child has to achieve great things in future.... '

'It seems like that his journey to achieve greatness has already been set in motion' thought Dhruv and laid down on the bed next to him and fell asleep.
