Satvik was lying in the green pastures while his head was resting in Aisha's lap.

Today the whole family had decided that they would spend time together on a picnic in the pastures while they took their cattle's outside for grazing. Dhruv was fishing at the nearby stream with his neighbor.

Aisha while caressing Satvik's head muttered, "You are almost 8 now, I can't believe it, my Sati is growing too fast."

"Does it even matter mum?" said Satvik while yawning.

"In few years you will be marrying some beauty and then you won't even have time for me. Your mother would be rotting while counting her last days of her life. You would be enjoying with your family, while your mother suffers and passes away" said Aisha while wiping her fake tears.

Satvik rolled his eyes and sighed. Sometimes her mother can give tough competition to the mothers in those daily-soap shows, much popular from his previous life.

Aisha did have insecurities about Satvik growing up, thus she never let go of an opportunity to tease Satvik and even his father was not safe from her taunts and teasing.

Dhruv came back with their neighbor in tow. They had caught few fishes from the nigh stream for their brunch.

They started roasting the fish on a makeshift fire while Aisha pulled out the cold sandwiches she had prepared at home. They were enjoying the food with little bit of bantering amongst themselves.

Satvik while enjoying family time thought, 'this world is not that bad. I could settle in the country side and live his slow backed life to the fullest, without any worries.'

"Rrrooooaaaaaarrrrrrr!!!!!!!"

Satvik then heard a loud roar and looked up while cursing himself. Every single time he has a relaxing thought, something or the other happens to 'unrelax' him. The roar brought back some memories.

He embraced himself for the worst. Then a behemoth landed in front of them.

'Of course it's a f***ng dragon now' thought Satvik to himself while cursing his loose tongue.

In most of the games and novels, dragons were supposed to be evil last boss. At least that was the case in his last life and given the other similarities in the world, he bet this was the scenario for dragons. He was not feeling very lucky now with the last boss appearing before him in his spawn city. What kind of messed up setting is this.

The dragon was not as tall as the demigod Peafowl couple but it was next biggest creature he had seen after them.

It was similar to western dragons from his previous world, the one's he had seen in quite a popular series about dragons.

It had amber coloured scales covering its whole body. His head was adorned by two horns protruding out of his head near the ears.

There were several scars around his body, singing of glories of him participating in fights regularly.

"Grrrrr"

The dragon was growling and grunting at the group present before him. Its green reptilian eyes were fixed on Satvik.

The pupils of its eyes had thinned enough to let everyone know that it was ready to fight.

Satvik used his skill only to find out that it had light purple aura similar to Lilac color. Every strand of hair on Satvik's body stood up.

He had found himself in a situation which his parents strictly asked him to avoid. His thought process changed gears and he was trying to come up with a plan to get out of this scenario. The dragon then silently observed the group with his jaw dripping saliva.

"There's something fishy about you, kid!"

A voice came from dragon. Although, the voice carried authority and pride, it still lacked something. Satvik thought, 'His voice is lacking something important that would make the voice suitable for such a body.'

He couldn't come to a conclusion what was missing but the voice definitely did not suited such majestic deadly creature.

"If it wasn't for this cutie I wouldn't have even noticed you" the voice was heard once again.

'So that was the reason.'

Then it finally dawned upon Satvik and he realized that the voice sounded a bit feminine. While Satvik was happy with his deductions the dragon bowed down his neck. A tall woman was mounted on his back, with a battle ax resting on her shoulder. The woman then stood up from her mount and jumped down with a thud.

She had silver grey hair that reached shoulder length. Her eyes were of emerald color and she stood at 192cm meter tall. She wore what seemed like mint green coloured dress below chest piece armor and gauntlets. She looked battle ready but that did not stop her from looking regal.

Satvik instantly used his skill to examine her. When her dark purple aura flared in front of him his jaw dropped. This was something he didn't see coming. The dragon was the last thing he needed to worry about now.

The woman started walking towards the group. With every step, her armor made clinking noise but that couldn't mask her graceful walk.

When she was about only few inches away from the group she stopped and said while pointing at Satvik, "you over there come here, boy."

Satvik's parents came in between the lady and their kid to ensure his safety.

Dhruv was the first one to speak, "what do you want with our kid, miss?'

"Didn't you hear me kid? I said come here!" said the woman while fuming.

"I don't know who you think you are, but my Sati doesn't have to listen to you" said Aisha with a nervous expression.

The woman laughed and with a sneer said, "Oh! Where are my manners? I am Jayanti, priestess of Patience."

Except Satvik's everyone's jaws dropped open. They couldn't believe the person in front of them. The first one to break out of daze was Dhruv.

He the cleared his throat and asked, "Well you've come far away from Baimum Territory, my lady."

Prophet of the Baimum Theocracy had 6 wives and each of them represented one of the 6 virtues and were given the title of priestess.

"Oh is that a threat?" said Jayanti while clutching her war ax.

"Of course not, my lady! How can a mere farmer like me be a threat to such a strong person as yourself? It's just that you have so many enemies waiting for you to make mistakes especially in these lands" said Dhruv while continuously sweating.

"Aren't you a sweet one? Thanks but you don't have to worry about me. I can handle few weaklings alone." said the woman and continued.

"However, if you people don't get out of my way now, I will have to force my way through you."

The moment those words left her mouth a wyvern came down from the sky and zeroed at their location. When the Wyern landed another man hopped down from his back. This man was covered in fullplate armor with green hue and stood at 200cm tall.

"What are you waiting for my lady?" the man questioned Jayanti in a respectful voice.

Jayanti looked at him and said, "Good timing, you see that kid over there?"

The man turned to look in the direction where her finger was pointing. Then his expression turn to that of a surprise.

"From your expression I can deduce that I was right. Even you couldn't notice his presence right? The same thing happened to me, I wouldn't have noticed his presence if for some reason he had not irked Nina" said the woman while pointing at her dragon.

The man nodded and said, "It is as you say my lady. It's almost like he had some kind of concealment skill. But he must be around 8-9 years old, how's that possible?"

Jayanti's lips curled into a smile and she said, "There are two possible way I can think of".

"First, that someone sacrificed their life for him, or Secondly, God's blessing. If Lord Ashanti would've gifted someone his blessings, he would have told my husband, which he didn't. And, no other God, except Lord Ashanti would help human because they despise us." Jayanti paused and a mischievous grin twisted her beautiful face.

"Except the False Gods." When those words left Jayanti's lips, Satvik's expression turned ugly.

'Well I'm f*****!!' thought Satvik while bawling his fists.

Jayanti pointed at the man next to her and with a smug said, "This guy is Apostle of wrath, Kroud and he really hates false Gods."

The man didn't say anything and grabbed the hilt of his sword while nodding.

"This is just a misunderstanding. You might have not noticed him because he's just a kid who has almost negligent mana and that's why to notice his presence is hard" said Dhruv with a nervous laugh.

"Are you that stupid or you just acting like one? The kid has the similar quantity of mana to that of a human around 14-15 years old" said Jayanti with anger.

It was Dhruv's turn to be surprised now. He turned his head to look back at Satvik with wide eyes.

Satvik on the other hand was clutching the feather under his shirt. He couldn't believe that his father's skill and Mayuri's gift which were supposed to aid him could become reason for his doom.

Then Aisha shouted "Are you a stupid or something? How's that even possible. He's just a 7 year old kid. How can he have that much mana?"

Vein started popping out on Jayanti's forehead. This bunch was testing her patience.

"Know your place, peasant. It's my lady's grace that your heads are still attached to your bodies" said Kroud while closing the distance between him and Satvik.

"Aisha take Sati and run. I'll try to hold him" said Dhruv.

"How's that even possible. You can't fight him. We have to find another way" said Satvik in protest.

"Hey that was uncalled for. I'm not that weak" said Dhruv with dry laugh. He himself knew very well that before the two he was nothing more than a speck of dust.

But he remembered the words of the vagabond from 7 years ago. 'Well it's father's duty to ensure his child is safe, right?' He kept the sentence in his head like a mantra for all these years.

"Run Aisha! bef... "

But before he could even finish a punch landed in his gut, making him stop mid-sentence and pushing out everything he had ate from his gut with little bit of blood.

"Dhruv!!"

Screamed Aisha while clenching Satvik's hand. She then turned around and started to run away while dragging Satvik who was still in daze.

'One punch from the apostle made him pass out', Satvik couldn't even process what had happened. Satvik tried to be calm and find a way out of this situation.

But Aisha and Satvik had only taken few steps when Jayanti appeared in front of them with sneer on her face.
