When Satvik opened his eyes he found himself in his dream world, yet this time the warm sun was eclipsed and his teacher was waiting for him.

Satvik looked at his master's face and disappointment was written all over his face.

"I warned you, didn't I?" said Skanda.

Satvik's gaze fell but he nodded.

"You ignored my warning and now here we are, as your life slowly slips away," said the God.

"I don't regret it," said Satvik while looking at the God with a neutral expression.

"Of course, you don't, but now that Spirit girl is burning her existence to save you," muttered Skanda looking at the Horizon.

"W-will she be alright?" asked Satvik with a guilty expression.

He knew he messed up big time but there was not an ounce of regret.

He only wished that he could have at least saved Kavita.

"Well she'll be fine since she has Maa's blessings," said the God and continued.

"It will take some time, but she will mend the damage you self-inflicted on your soul."

"Well she was chosen to compensate for your stupidity" he finished and then sat on the ground while peacefully leaning his back on a tree, after closing his eyes.

"Chosen by who?" Satvik questioned with curiosity.

"The Author we all hate!" replied the God.

'What does he have against the Author?' Satvik thought inwardly.

"I'm not talking about that good-for-nothing person,"

"Your meeting with Rias was decided by fate," said the God.

Satvik's eyes opened wide.

"Well wars aren't won alone" the God started explaining again.

"And a dum-dum like you need all the allies he could get, that would ensure your safety."

"Otherwise.....*whistle ~* even I don't know where you will end up," said Skanda with a mocking smile.

Satvik wanted to argue but held onto his words.

"Very well, now it seems you're knowledgeable about your mistakes and most probably will learn from the."

"Now you should go and look for allies, because oh boy you have no idea how much you'll be needing them.

"But remember to choose your allies wisely," said the God.

Satvik nodded and then questioned, "Should I go back to my hometown or somewhere else?"

"Hmmm, you need to level up and grow stronger for now."

"So I would suggest that you head to Academy City in the east, instantly."

"There you'll find weaker monsters which will be great for you to grind."

Satvik nodded in agreement, if he moved around cities, the monsters he would encounter would be weaker compared to monsters found in the wild far away from the protection of walls.

"And make sure you hurry up, who knows what you'll find on your death March!" said the God with a cunning smile.

Satvik didn't say anything but his thoughts were already picked by the Gods.

"You know nothing goes unrewarded or unpunished when it comes to Karma"

"What happened here was already set in stone, but the future might hold something good for her."

"Who knows you might meet her again in the future, never to lose her again," said the God with a gentle smile.

"So I can meet her again and see her smile?" asked Satvik while a tear 6slip down from his quivering eyes.

"Well if that's what destiny holds for both of you," said the God.

Satvik nodded and muttered, "I won't disappoint you, with any more stupidity, Gurudev!"

After bowing he left.

"Oh kid, you've no idea!" muttered the God and then vanished from the plain as well.

                           _______________

Satvik opened his eyes and the starry night sky welcomed him back.

He used all his might to pick up his body from the cold ground.

As he sat up, he started inspecting his body which was covered in blood and bruises.

But his wounds were healing, although very slowly.

His bleeding has already stopped and the huge wound on his chest continuously transmitted signals to his pain receptor.

He clenched his wound while groaning in pain and used his Fire aura to cauterize it.

"Aaaahh!"

He screamed as his tissue sizzled.

*Huff~*

He started panting due to the pain and after a while adapted to it.

Then he opened his status.

"10,000,000 Mana?!!" Satvik shouted in surprise.

Then he remembered that Rias had temporarily fused with his soul.

'So she's like a portable battery of mana now,' he thought to himself.

'Well it's more like a nuclear power plant,' he laughed inwardly while gently touching his contract seal.

"Thanks love," he said and stood up.

"Well, now that I've burnt all my levels. I should start grinding again," he said while walking in the east direction.

His mind was too hazy and shell-shocked to go through his status any further.

When he started walking, he found himself on the terrace of the bell tower.

"Sigh~, getting down will be a hassle!" he sighed and used the staircase to get down.

                         -----------------------------------

Satvik returned to Mujara Theatre and straight up went to Usha's mansion.

He wrote a note describing what all happened briefly and further gave instructions on what shall be done until he returns.

He then gathered some supplies for his travel.

Then he gave one last glance at the room, where he had made so many memories with his maids and Kavita.

Then after putting on a cloak and wrapping a bandana to cover his third eye, he left the mansion and started his journey to the Academy City, at the hour of dawn.

                         -----------------------------------

It was already dusk, Satvik had been walking for the full day.

'Maybe I should find a place to rest for the night. Traveling at night is a bad idea,' he thought to himself.

Although he was grateful that he didn't encounter any monsters during his march, he shouldn't push his luck.

While he was walking thinking about the best course of action, a heavy stench of blood made him frown and his movement came to a halt.

He started moving around with extreme caution and while relying on his Concealment Skill.

After a few moments, he had arrived at what anyone would call a war zone.

There were several craters and the mana-burned land was still sizzling.

The forest area was cleared and what trees remained were charred.

Satvik carefully moved through the devastated land and saw a body of a huge beast, lying in a puddle of its own blood.

Satvik first hid behind a thick ashen tree and then observed the body.

The Golden fur with black stripes. It was a huge tiger.

Next to the beast, a cub was trying its best to wake up the lying beast.

Satvik went closer and found that the tiger was covered in huge claw marks and was breathing hoarsely.

Satvik sat next to the dead body and put the cub in his lap. He started caressing the cub, trying to calm it while looking at the dying beast.

The beast was intensely looking at Satvik.

[Who are you? human?]

He heard a telepathic feminine voice in his head.

"Me?"

"I'm just a dancer," he replied as a matter of fact.

[ Are you mocking me and looking down on me because of my injury?]

This time there was slight anger in her voice.

"No, not at all, I'm just telling the truth," he said.

[ Do you think I can't see the amount of mana swirling around you?]

"Well, that's..... I have a lovely wife," he said while revealing his contract mark.

[ Marriage Seal of a High Spirit....no it's different]

The beast looked at the mark with surprise with a touch of curiosity.

"Something like that," he replies while shrugging.

The beast was now very curious about him and her brain started coming up with theories.

Spirits were quite arrogant beings, although they agreed to form a Contract with humans and other beings.

Marrying one was highly unlikely and quite rare.

She had seen many different magic seals of Spirits, but she was sure that what Satvik had was most probably made by a spirit at least of high rank if not higher.

He must have some qualities and if a spirit chooses him, he can....

While she was brainstorming, a whimpering sound broke her train of thought.

She then looked at her child in Satvik's lap looking at her with a painful gaze.

Satvik also looked at the cub and questioned, "Who did this to you?"

[Dragons!]

That was all she said, with pure hate.

"Why?" he questioned, even though he already knew dragons were quite arrogant existence.

[Because my pride didn't let me submit to them. Ever since they have received blessings from Ashanti, they've become quite arrogant.]

[ They attacked our tribe to subdue us. I was somehow able to escape with my child but a few followed me and the rest is history]

She narrated her story with a sorrowful expression.

Satvik simply stroked her head. It was quite clear from her expressions, how hard it must be to leave your young child behind.

Pain-filled smiles of his parents flashed in his mind.

Satvik looked at the beast and said, "Don't worry, I'll take care of him."

[Thank You] muttered the beast telepathically.

[ I can already sense that you also have blessings. It's quite familiar....]

She stopped in mid-sentence and her expression changed slightly.

[ Gauri Maa?]

She questioned, in response to which she received a nod affirming her doubts.

Satvik had somewhat hunch that if the peafowl demigod couple knew about his teacher, the God of war himself.

The tiger before him would know about Gauri, a divine tiger being her mount.

[If she has blessed you, I don't have to fear my daughter's future]

She mumbled.

'Daughter?' Satvik questioned while lifting up the pup.

"Ooh!" he uttered with slight shame.

The beast ignored Satvik's stupidity and said.

[ Even though she looks weak and fragile for now, I can guarantee, that she will surpass me in the future]

[ I would be happy if you could form a contract with her, I don't have much time left.]
