"What kind of contract?" Satvik questioned.
[Make her your familiar, that way you can enhance each other's growth]
'My first familiar! That would be great,' he thought inwardly with high expectations
After his first contract with Rias, Satvik researched different types of contracts that can be formed with magical beings.
Rias had already explained to him the specification regarding their contract which was a marriage type and another contract that can be formed with magical beings is Familiar-type.
Familiars are like pets or servants, that serve their Masters.
The contracted persons, of the Familiar type contract, will share XP earned by either of the party and grow stronger together.
Satvik immediately agreed to it and requested her help, as he didn't know how to perform the ritual.
The tigress was delighted and used whatever mana was left to start the Ritual for Familiar contract.
A magical Circle appeared surround6 both of them.
The tigress asked Satvik to bite his lower lips and draw some blood.
Then as per her instructions, he followed the step, and finally, she told him to kiss the cub's forehead.
When Satvik kissed the cub's forehead, gentle mana encased the cub for a few seconds.
[Give her a new name]
"Aria!" he mumbled.
{Aria Accepted as New Familiar}
[Thank yo....]
The tigress couldn't even finish her sentence as she passed away.
Aria rushed towards her mother's body while whimpering and tried to shake her huge body in order to wake her up.
Satvik looked at Aria with pity, and gently caressed her mother's head.
"She's no more, but worry not. She's with the God now and will always be watching you from there," Satvik picked Aria while raising his head to point towards the sky.
[R-Really?]
He heard a little girl's voice in his head.
Then he gently looked at Aria, with a smile and said, "Yes!"
Then again he put her down again and gently caressed her head while talking.
"Aria, Your mother was a noble woman and I don't want other monsters to trample her pride. So I'll destroy her body," he said.
Aria nodded her head and didn't say much.
After knowing that she agreed to that, Satvik covered his hand with fire and used it as a makeshift blow torch.
Under the extreme heat, with each passing second, the dead body charred up until there was nothing left of the tigress.
They say there for a few moments for Aria to calm down. Then Satvik saw a huge canine that was left in the ash and pocketed it.
He then picked Aria up. Her size was similar to that of an adult house cat but after looking at her mother, he had concluded that she might have been only a few days old.
He then placed her in his shirt. Her head was out after he opened the first two buttons to ensure she can breathe and started walking to east direction while she quivered without saying anything.

After a few hours of walking, Satvik entered a small village and asked Aria to stay hidden.
Then he went to a guest lodge to rest for the night and after entering the room he sat on a crude bed after throwing his luggage in the corner.
"You can come out!" he exclaimed and Aria popped out from his shirt and sat on his lap.
He then grabbed a piece of dried meat and offered it to Aria to grub upon. Aria munched on the meat until she was full.
He then laid down on the bed and asked her to get some rest as tomorrow is going to be tiresome.
While they were sleeping, Aria heard Satvik mumbling someone's name and teared up.
Aria didn't know what to do, her sorrow was fresh as well. How could two broken people comfort each other about their loss?

Aria's eyes opened and she found herself in a foreign land.
"Master?"
She mumbled while looking for Satvik.
The sky was red as if an apocalypse had descended upon the world land under her tiny paws was dyed red with blood and there were several dead bodies littered around her.
Some were headless while some were lacking limbs but they were all dead.
Aria started panicking and looked around to find her master but that was unfruitful.
Then she sensed someone standing behind her and when she turned around she found herself standing before a huge majestic tiger looking down on her.
It was like she was a mouse standing in front of a tiger.
*Roar~*
The tiger roared and with a booming voice commanded, "Kneel!"
She quivered with fear and her expression became pale but she didn't falter.
*Rooaaaarrrrr~*
The tiger roared furiously and with anger said, "I said Kneel!"
"I... will kneel...before no one..... other than my Master!" she stuttered while mustering all her courage and pride.
Her body was quivering with fear and small droplets of tears formed in corner of her eyes but she never yielded.
*Roooaaaaarrrrrrrrrr~*
The Tiger was filled with rage. His eyes were filled with anger and disdain.
"I SAID KNEEL BEFORE....*thwack*.....Ack~!!" the pain stopped him from yelling at her.
"She's just a child. Why are you reprimanding her courage and pride for her Master!"
Aria heard a melodious serene voice of a woman.
Then she looked at the Majestic tiger, who now had his head on the ground while holding his head with his paws.
There she saw a silhouette of a woman mounted on the tiger's back with her fist bawled up.
She was the one who hit his head to stop him from frightening Aria to death.
She pushed the tiger further down, making him sit on his belly, while her bare foot finally touched the ground.
"Come here child!" she said in a gentle voice while patting her lap.
To Aria, it felt like her mother was calling her with care and love.
Without realizing it, Aria started walking towards the woman one step at a time.
When she was only a few inches away from her, she could finally see the woman.

The woman was draped in Red Saree and adorned with several pieces of jewelry all over her lean body.
She also wore a crown and from underneath it her jet-black hair flowed down like a waterfall that reached her waist.
Her skin had a divine glow and it almost glittered like gold. She was sitting on the tiger with one of her legs folded on its back while the other touched the ground.
She had ten arms, nine of them were armed with a trident, mace, bow, arrow, lotus, sword, bell, and a waterpot, while the last free hand was outstretched towards Aria, calling her.
Aria finally jumped in her lap and started whimpering like a small kitten.
The woman caressed her fur with love and said, "It must have been hard, losing your mother at a such young age. But don't worry, I'll be your mother!"
Then after an hour or two of caressing of the woman combined with melodious humming, Aria stopped her wailing and finally calmed down and she fell asleep.
Then the woman looked at her mount who was looking in that direction while sulking.
"Hehehe!" she giggled and caressed her mount sulking head then began speaking.
"You need to bless her, Shera!"
"I refuse, Maa!" he replied instantly.
"May I know the reason?" she questioned with even a hint of anger.
"She didn't kneel before you, Maa."
"Chandraghant, the 'Destroyer of Asuras' .....the whole world of Asura starts to shiver after hearing your name."
"Even Devraj and his court kneel and bow before you with respect."
"But this blasphemous child not only failed to kneel but also claimed that she will only lean before her Master."
"If weren't for you holding me back, I would've instantly annihilated her soul here itself!" said the Tiger.
"Hahaha!" the woman started laughing and the world started shaking in response to her chortle.
"What's soo funny, Maa?" questioned the Tiger with a pout.
"You should be proud of her. You both are the same," she replied while wiping her joyous tears.
"We are not the same!" he argued while looking away.
The goddess started caressing his head and asked, "So tell me, Sheera?"
"Who was the last person, before whom you bowed your head or kneeled before other than me?"
"You don't even kneel or falter before my husband."
Sheera's body stiffened up, "T-that nott thruu, I just don't kneel because you might fawll or loseee b-banlace!" he stuttered with fear.
"Hahaha! The whole world is afraid of the God of Destruction, but you only look at him with respect and admiration. But I've never seen you kneel before him," she said with a gentle smile.
Sheera remained silent.
The woman continued, "Your Pride and love for me, don't let you kneel before others. So what gives you the right to trample over the pride her's for her Master?"
"Shouldn't you be proud of your little kin over here? Just like you, she never let you tread over her pride. Even though she was afraid of you and already knew that you might kill her," she finished while looking down in her lap at the ball of fur.
Sheera's eyes opened wide after hearing his Master and sighed after realizing his stupidity.
"I'm ashamed!" was the only thing he said.
The woman smiled and said, "So why don't you grant her your blessing? Even if you don't, it's fine!"
"Because, I will grant this fearless child my blessing," she said and gently caressed Aria's head with a smile.
"May you never falter in front of evil and your light shall turn all evil to asunder!" she exclaimed with authority and instantly Aria's body started to glow with warmth.
Then the woman looked at her mount at the corner of her eyes and after gently picking Aria and pushing her towards Sheera muttered, "So?"
*Sigh~*
Sheera sighed and with a defeated smile muttered, "Like today never let anyone tread over your pride and love for your Master."
The he gently roared and Aria's body was again glowing with slight divinity.
"See! I know you have a soft heart for cute munchkins," mumbled the woman with a smile as she rubbed her cheeks against Aria's who was still asleep.
Then the woman kissed Aria's head and said, "It's time for you to go back to your master. But we will keep meeting, My fearless Daughter!"

Satvik woke up and found Aria snuggled close to him while she was sleeping.
He carefully got off from the bed and went to the owner to fetch some milk for her and breakfast for himself.
After having their breakfast, both left the lodge and resume their journey.
While Satvik tried to make conversation but Aria hardly replied so he stopped, to give her some space.
While they were cruising, they found some low-level monsters such as slimes and wild lizards.
The duo then decided to stop for the hunt and gain some levels.
Satvik finally used his Thir eye skill on Aria.

[Agility: 13]
[Stamina: 17]
[Mana: 22]
[Spirit: 0 ]

[Skill(Passive): Spacial Awareness (Lvl 1), Heightened Senses (Lvl 1) Fearless Pride (Lvl Max) ]
[Blessings: Goddess 'Asura Destroyer' ]
[ A/N: Blessings ultimately transform into skill and once it becomes a skill, it doesn't show under the column of 'Blessing'. For instance, in Aria's case, the blessing she received for Sheera, turned into a 'Fearless Pride' Skill.' This way it's easy to manage blessings and it wouldn't even look like they're gaining OP skills from thin air. I hope this makes sense. xp]
'She's hardly a month and already this strong. Quite balanced stats,' he thought and laughed inwardly while remembering his statu-less days.
'So a Familiar-type contract granted her my name and quite basic skills as well except for spacial awareness, it might be something good,' he thought.
He decided to let Aria fight level 1 lizards, while he skillfully killed slimes and stronger lizards.
{ 30 XP gained}
{17 XP gained}...
Several notifications flashed before them, but Satvik ignored them and continued grinding...
