They only chatted for a while, but after he got back in the car, the lord general inside was bit dissatisfied and showed an unhappy expression as if his wife had just cheated on him behind his back. He had a handsome appearance, but now he looked a little cute with his lips tilted slightly. Cheng Jin couldn’t help taking a few glimpses. The lord general asked fiercely, “What are you looking at?”

Cheng Jin hurriedly sat upright. “I’m not looking.”

Lu Tao glared at him angrily again.

The car was on autopilot, so Fei Li had time to observe the two men’s reactions. Seeing it now, he couldn’t help but say, “The lord general’s personality has changed a lot.”

“What was I like before?” Lu Tao asked. He had a touch of the past him when he faced Fei Li. He obviously didn’t do it deliberately, but his tone had a wave of intimidation. Fei Li froze, then said, “It seems… there wasn’t much of a change.” He thought of something and added, “Perhaps it has changed in front of Mr. Cheng.”

Lu Tao still asked him anyway, “What was I like before?” He had also asked this question to his partner before, but Cheng Jin very stiffly turned the topic, so he didn’t pursue it further. But when he met Fei Li, he couldn’t help but want to be clarified.

Fei Li was a bit embarrassed. “Subordinates should not judge their boss’s character.”

Lu Tao didn’t buy it. “You just commented that I’ve changed a lot.”

Even with amnesia, there’s nothing wrong with the lord general’s logical thinking. Fei Li couldn’t refute, and could only say, “A little more indifferent than now. The people have given you the nickname, ‘God-slayer.’”

Lu Tao raised his eyebrows. “Isn’t it ‘BGTG?‘ The nickname with Asher Rigel?”

“That’s a courtesy title, lord general, and an honor.” Fei Li added solemnly, “If you’re interested in your achievements, you can come to the office. There are a lot of medals there that have been awarded to you, and possibly some of your personal belongings.”

“Personal belongings?” Lu Tao was puzzled and turned to look at Cheng Jin. “Shouldn’t my personal belongings be together in our home? It must not be important so I put them in the office?”

Cheng Jin also didn’t know how to explain, thinking that perhaps what was in the office was the most important to Lu Tao.

Fei Li took down his few luggage and said, “Lord general, Mr. Cheng, I’ll be leaving first.”

Cheng Jin prompted, “Won’t you sit for a while and have a cup of tea?”

Fei Li pushed his glasses. “No need, thank you very much,” he said. “I have business in the military headquarters to attend to.”

Cheng Jin sent Fei Li out of the gate. After closing the gate, he turned around and found that Lu Tao had entered the house. He quickly followed up.

There were already changed shoes on the porch. Lu Tao was squatting down, seriously studying the intelligent little robot.

When the little robot saw the owner he had not seen for a long time, he twirled around happily. The indicator lamp in his head kept flashing as he cheerfully said, “Oh, my dearest master, you’re finally back! Cheng Cheng missed you very much. Cheng Cheng secretly cried twice when he heard you were in an accident…. crying inside. Who’s crying? I’m a robot ne. Robots can’t shed tears….. It’s great to have you back safe and sound.”

The lord general wasn’t frightened by the enthusiastic little robot. His face was full of curiosity as he asked Cheng Jin, “Its name is Cheng Cheng?”

Before Cheng Jin answered, the little robot responded, “Yes, this is the name that the previous master gave me. Ah, my little master, welcome back, too.”

Cheng Jin smiled and stroked its head. “Thank you.”

“Oh, my little master is getting more and more polite.” The little robot saw the luggage placed next to it and hurriedly took it to tidy up. Lu Tao looked at its retreating figure and said, “The previous master? Is it second-hand?”

“No… It used to be my family’s robot, and was owned by my gege before he came with me.” Cheng Jin explained. When he got married, Cheng Xu gave him the little robot, but Cheng Jin didn’t use it for some time, and instead hired a maid. Lu Tao later criticized his extravagance and he dismissed all the helpers, only then did he let the little robot out of the warehouse again.

Lu Tao seemed to find it amusing. “Has it always been this…talkative?”

Cheng Jin chuckled softly. “No, it likes handsome men. It will be more talkative when it sees one.”

When he finished, Lu Tao stood in front of him, then bent over and stared at him. He was so close that the tip of his nose almost touched against his own. Cheng Jin wasn’t used to this proximity, and just felt that his heart was accelerating uncontrollably. He wanted to avoid it, but was reluctant to do so, so he held back. Lu Tao asked, “Are you praising my face for being handsome?”

Cheng Jin eventually couldn’t bear how close his face was, so he stepped back, turned away his own rosy tinted face, and whispered, “It’s…very handsome….”

Lu Tao was about to hug his waist when the robot slid over happily and shouted, “Master, master, Cheng Cheng has tidied up the bedroom. Please check it yo. If you are not satisfied with it, I will fix it well!”

The beautiful atmosphere just shattered with this interruption. Plus, Lu Tao was also curious about what their bedroom was like, so he followed the little robot to the direction of the bedroom.

The little robot glided along the way as he chattered. “The little master said you’ve forgotten things about the past, so allow me to introduce you. Here is the kitchen, this is Cheng Cheng’s rest room. I love sleeping here at night. Oh, my sleep is charging my batteries. And here is the guest room. A maid used to live there. Oh, I feel so angry just talking about it! The little master also abandoned Cheng Cheng for a while, wuwu…”

Lu Tao was amused, but Cheng Jin wanted to cover its mouth.

The little robot cried for a while and soon returned to normal. “This room is the little master’s bedroom oh. It’s the largest room on the first floor. When Cheng Cheng cleans it every day, it takes 20 minutes to finish ah. Other rooms only take five minutes la!”

With a smile on his face, Lu Tao originally wanted to go to the room pointed to by the little robot, but when he saw the little robot going up the stairs, he immediately felt something was wrong. The smile on his face faded and his tone was rather icy like in the past. “I don’t stay here?”

“No, no, no oh.” The little robot quickly waved his mechanical hands and pointed upstairs. “Your room is upstairs oh.”

“Why?” Who Lu Tao asked this time was not the little robot, but Cheng Jin.

He had an examining look. Cheng Jin didn’t know how to explain. While he was hesitating, Lu Tao asked, “Why don’t you want to sleep with me?”

With his accusatory words, Cheng Jin felt helpless. Moreover, his interrogation was very far away from the truth. The reason why they were divided into two bedrooms wasn’t that Cheng Jin wasn’t willing, but it was Lu Tao who was unwilling.

During the marriage approval, the wedding room belonging to the two was allocated down. Cheng Jin only spent a short time decorating their place, but he very earnestly decorated their joint bedroom.

He spent a lot of time thinking, ranging from the color scheme of the wardrobe to the furnishings of scenic items. All of it was personally inspected by him, however, when Lu Tao came, he directly refused. “Sleep in separate rooms.”

Cheng Jin was very sad and lost his temper, but Lu Tao didn’t compromise. In the end, it was Cheng Jin who had to compromise. Lu Tao chose a guest room, with nothing but a bed and wardrobe. He didn’t have any furnishings, and he also refused Cheng Jin to buy them for him. On the wedding night, Cheng Jin felt wronged as he slept on his small and soft bed alone, only to wake up and see no one beside him.

The past flashed through his mind bit by bit. Cheng Jin pinched his fingers and said cautiously, “My sleeping posture isn’t good. I’m afraid it will disturb you, so we just sleep separately…”

The lord general looked doubtful. “That so?”

Cheng Jin braced himself and said, “Yes, I love kicking the covers when I sleep. I g-grind my teeth and snore, and it’s hard to change your sleeping habits from childhood…”

“I don’t mind.”

Cheng Jin was startled and stared at the serious man in front of him. “What?”

“I said I don’t mind! I don’t care if you kick the covers, grind your teeth, or snore!” Lu Tao grabbed his hand. “I. want. to. sleep. with. you!”

If Cheng Jin had heard this from his mouth in the past, he would probably have fainted blissfully, but now he just felt terrified.

The Lu Tao in front of him was only temporary. In a few months, Lu Tao would return to his original state and turn a blind eye to himself and become even more indifferent than strangers.

If that was the case, Cheng Jin, who was already beyond redemption at the bottom of the pit, would be crushed to pieces.

He obviously had no expectations for this relationship any longer. Why was this Lu Tao delivered to him? Letting him enjoy the taste of being watched attentively and valued by the other, and at the same time, making it clear that this was only temporary.

It’s simply cruel.

Lu Tao didn’t know about his psychological changes. He just approached him and asked, “Not willing?”

The man narrows his eyes dangerously, as if Cheng Jin didn’t agree, he wouldn’t accept compromise. Cheng Jin was stunned. His widened eyes were filled with a void he couldn’t gather. He said, “Not unwilling.” His sight slowly became clear, showing the figure of the person who most enchanted him. Cheng Jin whispered, “How could I not want to…”

He couldn’t resist hugging Lu Tao. He put his hands around the man’s waist and buried his face in his chest, inhaling the smell of his body, and muttered, “This is clearly what I’ve been dreaming of…”
