Chapter 3: 3 – Confidence

(Kazuma POV)

Phew, I can't believe the final boss actually appeared early in the game. Luckily, I managed to escape using Talk No Jutsu. It is so effective! It's not that I don't like her. Whenever I have problems in my school, she teaches me and she's really good at it. She should become a teacher someday. 

And also, she acts like a big sister to me. Whenever I visit her house to teach me at my schoolworks, she spoils me a lot. She has a siblings too, by the way. One boy and one girl. Overall there are three siblings, including nee-chan. She also spoils her siblings, naturally but the way she treated me, it's like I'm part of their family.

But one time I ate her pudding, her favorite desert, she got so mad at me that she looks like a predator ready to eat her prey. And that's why I always run whenever I see her.

But nee-chan aside, I should focus on finding the new girl. My school is a U-shaped building and is consists of three floors with a field that's as wide as a baseball field. Wakai Hito High School, the name of my school, is famous for having the best baseball players. Not too long ago, our school has won a school tournament and our school win streak is now five, way before I transferred here.

Since it's our first day of school, the students are allowed to walk freely and explore the rooms and the buildings so it's my chance to find the new girl. But I wonder, who is she? I could've remember her when I see her face.

Before we moved in to this place, me and my family lives in America. My mom before we moved out was a teacher of a middle school while my dad at that time was a co-manager of a well-known company so I was always alone in the house.

One day, Dad brought to me a very tall building, which I think is his workplace. He said to me that I should go play with someone and when we arrived at a luxurious room at the top of the building and there, I saw her. She had a black and glossy hair with blue eyes. The first time I saw her, she looks as gorgeous as a princess that you see in a fairytale story. Everyday, my dad always bring me along in that place to play along with the black-haired girl. It was fun playing with her. we do activities that  every kids does. But due to some reasons, my family suddenly moves in to another place. I couldn't get to say goodbye to her. It was a depressing moment for me. I wish I could her again.

Going back to our current situation, I tried asking every student if they have seen a blonde but they haven't seen her. I check every available place. From the cafeteria to the basefield field, to every clubroom, but still I haven't found her. 

I check time in my phone. It's now 2:50 PM.

"It's almost time to go home."

I should just get my bag and go home. I'll check the bookstore while on my way home. I had to buy that book that I was looking forward to. Then, something just struck in me.

"Ah, I forgot! I haven't check the school library!"

Ughhh. The most obvious place in the school is the only place that I haven't checked out. Why am I such an idiot? 

Ah, I don't know where the library is. Dammit, who should I going to ask on where's the library?

As I was looking for people who has an idea on whre the library is, I saw a girl with glasses in her white sailor uniform walking past by me.

Great timing! I speak those words inside of my mind.

"Hey! Do you know which way to the library?"

"Y-yes!?"

Stunned by my sudden approach, the glasses girl replies to my question

"U-um, the library, y-you say?"

"Yes, do you know where can I find it?"

"I-I-It's in that way."

She points to the right side of the school building. 

"There's a stairs right there that leads to the library. Just climb the stairs and then go right"

So the library is in the 2nd floor at the edge of the building huh? I definitely missed that location. But thanks to the lady here, now I know where the library is.

"Thank you very much for telling me miss!"

I bowed down to her to give my thanks.

"I-I'm glad that I-I could be of help to you"

Her face is covered in panicked reaction and now it's red. Did something happened to her? 

I let my face get closer to her to see if she has any problems.

"You should calm yourself miss. Oh, now that I take a closer look in your face miss, you look very pretty. You should be confident on yourself!"

I'm not even kidding, she's really pretty. If she get dressed herself in an appealing attire, the boys in thie school will sorround her. Ah, I got distracted. I should go back looking the new girl. 

"I should get going miss. Thank you once again!"

 

 

 

(Glasses girl POV)

"It's the first time someone compliments me"

I am just an average-looking girl and I don't have any good looks. I once tried to wear a cute clothes but it doesn't really suit me. But that man, he said that I'm pretty. 

"Who is that man? I've never seen him here before. He must be a new student"

I want to see him again.
