Chapter 4: 4 – It’s all just a coincidence

I followed the direction that the glasses girl has said. Just as she instructed, there's a stairs at the edge of the building.  I climb the stairs and went up. A few minutes later, I reach the 2nd floor.

"She said that after reaching the 2nd floor, I should go right"

Just as I was about to go right, the school bells rings. The empty halls are now filled with lively students. But that doesn't stop me from reaching my destination. I pushed myself through the crowds. 

"Excuse me. Coming through. Ah, sorry, I need you to give more spaces guys"

 

A few minutes later

 

"So this is the library"

I thought that this school's library is just as those libraries that you've seen in every public schools but I was wrong. 

As soon as I went into the library, what greeted was me books. Lots and lots of books.

The library itself is quite spacious enough that it could fit atleast a hundred people give or take.

"Whoa, they even have mangas and novels here"

I am curently exploring the library and I found shelves that's filled with popular mangas and novels. I should tell Kenji about my discovery here. I could imagine his wide grinning face in my mind right now when he knows that the library is also filled with mangas. What about me? Well, if they have my favorite novels here, I should try to live here and never go outside. Okay, that was just an exaggeration. I can just borrow the book, bring it home, binge reading it for the whole and then return it. Now that's what I call a "speedrun reading."

"Hmmmm, I wonder if she's here"

I was looking around the library to see if I could find the new girl here but I still haven't seen her.

"I guess I'll just go home and apologize to her tomorrow on what happened today."

As I was about to leave the library, I caught a glimpse on what seems to be a yellowish-hair behind on a certain bookshelf. Curiously, I went and see if it's the one that I was looking for.

"Well, well, well. Look who's here. If it isn't the new girl that instantly hugged me"

My time for searching her is now done. But, what should I do now? What do I mean? I mean, take a look at this

"She's asleep."

Just as I've said, she is now lying her face on the table with a sleeping face.

"What am I supposed to do with her? Should I wake her up to tell her that she needs to go home?"

I know it's rude to wake up a sleeping person, especially if she's a cute girl but this is a library, it's not a place to sleep. Oh, how ironic of me.

You know what? Maybe I should also stay here until she wakes up

I went and drag a nearby chair to the table where the sleeping girl sleeps.

"Now that I can see her closely, she's really beautiful."

I observe the new girl's cute sleeping face. She's one heck of a beauty. With her hair as yellow as the sunflower and her cheeks as fluffy as a cotton.

"Guess I should kill some time reading"

I grab a book in my bag and started reading it, indulging the fictional world as the time passed by.

(Shinomiya POV)

Huh?

Did I fall asleep? When did I fall asleep?

What just happened?

Ah, I remember. When I saw Kazuma-kun, I ran off and hugged him. I even cried when I finally see him for a long time but he doesn't remember who I am. After I hugged him, I ran outside as fast as I could. After running away, I found a library and went inside. I was browsing some books to calm myself down but then I found Kazuma-kun's favorite novel. I went and borrowed the book and reads it. After that, my eyes are getting heavier and I fell asleep. 

Uuuuu..... How am I supposed to face Kazuma-kun tomorrow? I should go to his house and apologize to him. How do I know his address? It's a secret~~ 

I slowly open my eyes to wake myself up, only to see Kazuma-kun besides me, reading a book, sorrounded by a dignified aura.

"E-e-e-ehhhh???"

"Shhhh"

"Oh, I'm s-sorry"

I have to calm myself down! He looks so cool when he's reading a book. I don't think my heart can't take it. No no, more importantly, how did he find me? Did he followed me while I was running away?

"So um, how did you find me?"

"........"

"Kazuma-kun?"

"Let's just say I found you by coincidence"

"Ehhh....."

"Can I ask you a question, Shinomiya-san?"

"Oh sure, Kazuma-kun"

"Have we met before?"

Thank you for reading my work everyone even though it's kind of cliche but nevertheless, it makes me happy when someone reads my works hehe. Just a heads-up, I might be releasing new chapters either 3-4 days. Worst case scenario is 1 week after new chapter release. I need to read more romance novels to take some references in the future chapters (I think I might die from diabetes lol) and I might be considering adding illustrations (I'm still an amateur in drawing but it doesn't hurt to try new hobbies hehe) for this series so look forward to it~~
