Chapter 5: 5 – Please

"Have we met before?"

I asked Shinomiya-san if we've met before. Like I said in the few chapters, if I've seen her before, I would've remembered her face but no matter how hard I try to remember, nothing comes to mind.

Shinomiya-san stayed silent after I asked this question.

"C-can you forget what happened earlier?"

"Why so?"

"J-just forget about it!"

"You know I can't forget what you did to me a while ago right? And also, I'm sure that the actions that you did in our classroom will be a memorable one in our class. At least, that's what I thought."

 After giving my reply to Shinomiya-san, she covers her face with both of her hands.

"Ughhh, I wish I could just disappear"

I wonder what kind of face she makes behind those thin hands of hers.

I go back to reading my book that's in the palm of my hands. I have a rule that I stop reading it when I finish at least one chapter. I always have the habit of 'when i start something, I'm not budging until I finish it'

A minute later, Shinomiya-san went closer to me. Her getting close to me caught me off guard and I don't know how to react so I just continue what I am doing.

"So um, what are you reading?"

"Oh, this? It's about a guy who travels around the world to write and deliver letters to the people who can't read and write" (Violet Evergarden reference btw)

"Ehhh"

And our conversation ended there. I do have to tell you that I'm not good at communicating with others unless our interests match with each other. 

Hmmm?

I took a quick glance in the area where Shinomiya-san was taking a nap and I noticed that she had a book on the table. But it's just not any book, it's one of the light novels that is getting popular and it's getting an anime adaptation this year.

"Hey, Shinomiya-san?"

I quietly called her name to catch her attention but instead of hearing her response she was leaning beside me, in a sleepy face.

I am tempted to take a picture of her cute sleepy face but I suppress my urge to do such things. 

"Wake up, Shinomiya-san. School's already ended."

"Mhmmm......"

I wanna go to a bookstore right now.

A few minutes later I managed to wake her up and now we were both going down the school stairs. Shinomiya-san is right beside me and is still following me. Not that I hate having a cute girl beside me but I would make her parents worried so she should at least let her parents know where she is.

I was planning to go to a bookstore but my mom just texted me that I should buy all of the things that she needs for our dinner tonight. 

I went to see and check the text message my mom had sent to me. It was a list of ingredients that I needed to buy in the store. 

"Let's see.... Carrots, potatoes, curry roux, chicken cubes. So we're having chicken curry for dinner huh."

My mom is a good cook so I kind of look forward to his curry tonight. Everything my mom made is so good that my dad can't live without her food. I consciously made a wide grin while thinking of our dinner tonight

"What's with the happy face, Kazuma-kun?"

Suddenly, Shinomiya-san is looking at me with a curious face. Crap, I let her see my weird looking reaction.

"Oh uh, it's nothing. My mom is making dinner for tonight so I was looking forward to it."

"Oh really? Is she a good cook?"

"Definitely a good cook. My dad actually love her cooking so much that he goes home early just to eat my mom's cooking"

"Sounds like you have a very lovely family, Kazuma-kun"

She giggles after saying those words. 

After chatting for a while, we finally reached the school entrance. I guess this is where we go our separate ways.

"So um, I guess this is where we separate then. I'll be going to the store to buy the ingredi-----"

"Kazuma-kun!"

The blonde haired girl calls my name loudly. 

"C-Can I come with you?"

Eh?

(Shinomiya POV)

I don't want him to leave me. I want him by my side. I want to be with him wherever he goes. Please don't leave me kazuma-kun. Please. Please. Please. Please. (A/N: Yikes bro I hope she's not bringing any bad news)

"C-Can I come with you?"

When I ask Kazuma-kun if I could tag along with him, he gave made a puzzled look. I understand how he feels given that this is our first time seeing each other, in a long and when a boy and a girl go together, people assume we're a couple. Actually, I wouldn't mind if they saw us as a couple hehe~

"Um, are you sure Shinomiya-san? Won't your parents be worried on you?"

"Am I not allowed to?"

I look at him with puppy eyes to see if he would accept me to take me along with him

"Well I don't really mind so sure"

"Yayyy! Thank you Kazuma-kun!" I went and instantly hugged him with all of my might. 

'I wish we could embrace longer. I hope this moment could stay forever and ever. I don't want this to end.' I mentally spoke those phrase inside of my head.

"So, shall we go then?" Kazuma-kun asked me while extending his hands towards me.

I nodded.

(???? POV)

"What's her current status, Rhino?"

"Madam is currently with a boy around her age. It seems that both of them are going into a store, according to my intel"

"I see. Please keep an eye on her and the boy for me. Oh and, find more information of this boy. I want to know everything about him."

"As you wish, Sir"

communication cut-off

I went back to my seat and sigh deeply as I heard the report on one of my bodyguards. 

"I'm glad that she's okay but, who is this boy that she's so obssessed to?"

I reach and rang the small bell that's in my table to call a maid that's on standby outside in my office. A few seconds later, a lady in a maid uniform came inside.

"You called, Master?"

"Bring me a coffee and some snacks."

"As you wish, Master"

The maid leaves after I gave my order to her. 

The room is in a complete silence as I am the only one in my office. My wife has an urgent business in her work so she'll be going home later than usual. 

I open of the drawer in my office table and grab something. It was a photo of a boy that my daughter was obssessed with.

"Are you worthy of being with my daughter, boy?"
