Chapter 8: 8 – Takao Miyuki (Part 1)

Around the time where Shinomiya and Kazuma were in the market

 

(Takao Miyuki POV)

"hmm hmm hmm♪♪"

My name is Takao Miyuki. I'm 17 years old and I'm in my 2nd year of high school. My father works as an English teacher in another school and my mother stays in our home to take care of my 2 siblings, both of whom are in their 1st year of middle school. I usually help my mother to lessen her burden in the house, and that's why it's my duty to cook our family's meals. I am confident in my cooking skills since my mother taught me how to cook. What motivated me to learn to cook is that, of course, I want to let my family taste delicious food through my cooking.

And secondly, I just want to show my cute little kouhai, Kazuma, my cooking skills. I live just beside my kouhai, Kazuma. My Kouhai always visits our place to play with my siblings and every time he eats my cooking, he makes a cute expression. And that's why he always looks forward to my cooking.

Currently, I go to the market to buy some ingredients to cook for our dinner. My mom will make our dinner for tonight, so she gave me an errand to buy the ingredients that she needs. 

While I was walking towards the market, I saw a familiar face.

"Oh, it's just Kazuma." Hem? Who's that girl beside her? "

At the side of Kazuma lies a beautiful blonde-haired woman that's around the same age as me. Her figure stands out the most so that people around them take a glimpse at this stunning woman. She looks so beautiful that I might get worried if she gets hooked up by some rad guys, but thankfully my kouhai is with him.

I keep a distance from them to avoid being seen. From afar, they look like those couples. But I wonder what her relationship with Kazuma is.

"Maybe that's the girl that Kazuma was looking for?"

Kazuma didn't tell me what the girl that he was looking for looked like, and according to what I've heard from my classmates, one of them saw a blonde-haired, beautiful woman that was running around the school. Maybe this blonde-haired girl beside him is the same girl that was my classmate. I'll just have to ask Kazuma next time he goes into our house.

"I can't believe Kouhai just got a girlfriend on his first day of school."

As his senpai, it's a relief for me to know that he already made a friend on his first day of school. Back when he was small, he didn't have any friends and would usually just play by himself in the neighborhood park. 

"Come to think of it, he sure has grown a lot since that time, huh."

Ever since that day, he has slowly but surely changed as time passed, and I didn't even realize it. Time sure flies so fast.

Due to my curiosity, I followed the two of them. They seemed like they went to a store with meats, fruits, and vegetables.

"Ah, I need to get the ingredients, but I want to watch them interact."

While I was getting the ingredients I needed, I took another look at those two to see how they were doing.It seems they do the same as me. Hm?

"Wait, what's that girl doing? Wait, she's too close! "Too close!"

The girl seems to be in close contact with Kazuma. so close that their faces are near each other. They're way too close! Does Kazuma already have a relationship without me knowing? 

"Wait, wait, I shouldn't be jumping to clonclusions without confirming it to Kazuma. But who knows that they might be in a relationship? Ah, geez! I'll just have to ask the person himself! "

"Um, excuse me ma'am?"

While I was in a conflicted state about what I'd just seen, the cashier called out to me.

"Uh, I-I'm so sorry!"

Luckily, no one fell in line behind me, but I'm sure that the cashier heard me talking to myself. Ughh, this is so embarrassing.

"I'm home."

I took off my shoes and went inside our house. What greeted me was---

"Ah, welcome back." Miyuki dear, have you bought what I've asked for?"

My mom. She has long black hair with a face that looks as young as a teenager even though she's in her 30s. Currently, she's getting the rest of the ingredients from the refrigerator to prepare to cook for dinner.

"Yeah Mom, here it is."

I gave Mom the ground beef and pork that I bought in the market. For our dinner tonight, it'll be a hamburg steak, and we don't have any ground meat stacked in the refrigerator, so mom gave me an errand to buy some.

"Thank you, Miyuki. Hm? You look really tired. Did something happen today?"

My mom suddenly asked me a question. I could've told her that I'm really tired because of the scenes that I saw earlier, but I'll just keep it to myself as to not make Mom more worried about me.

"It's alright Mom, I'm just tired from school."

I replied to Mom's sudden question. 

"Is that so?"

I nodded.

"I see. Ah, I prepared a bath for you, so you should go wash yourself. "

"Thank you, Mom."

I went upstairs to my room to prepare to go to the bath when suddenly there were heavy footsteps coming from above.

""You're home, Nee-chan!""

It's my cute little twin siblings.

 

 

 

Author's Note: Sorry for the late post everyone! Making details of your characters sure is hard~ But that doesn't stop me from writing hehe. I'll say this now: I'll be posting new chapter 1 or 2 times a week since our Midterm test will be coming in the next 2 weeks. I hope I could get a passing grade.
