“Oh god! Finally got rid of him!”
“What…are you wearing?” Tifa raised her eyebrows, running her eyes over Tsunade, at her skin tight black yoga pants, visible plain black bra and green jacket, which was buttoned but held together by cream coloured belt.
Tsunade looked around the busy bar, watching Tifa pour her usual drink, “that guy…he said I dress like an old woman and forced me to give him all pairs of my clothes. We went to shop…and he bought me quite a few.”
“Hm?” Tifa leaned over the bar table, smiling at Tsunade, “your choice?”
“More of …compromise,” Tsunade smilingly sighed, looking up at the girl with ruby eyes, “you have been around little?”
“That…” Tifa looked away. She couldn’t explain what she was feeling. That is why she didn’t expect Tsunade to say something like this.
“You are going back to normal.”
“Normal?”
“Everyone has a certain number of negative emotions in them. Being devoid of negative emotions isn’t natural, but he…takes all of them. It takes time…for the memories to rebuild those negative emotions. That’s our normal selves. Not when we are high on negative emotions. Not when we have none of them. Although…I noticed that not having any negative emotions makes me…willing to do almost anything. You seem to be the same?”
“Yeah,” Tifa circled her finger around the rim of the glass, “I…let’s not talk about this.”
“Two scotch on the rocks.”
“Right away.”
Tsunade followed Tifa as the woman prepared the drinks before she looked back at the drink in her hand. She was thinking, staring at it when Tifa came back to her, “I am guessing…he’s busy?”
“He managed to take a day off…but these people…. At this point, it feels like they are bullying him for becoming the City Lord of Xphargos. Maybe force him to give up the position himself. It wouldn’t be too much of a stretch.”
“Or maybe it is something simpler,” Tifa took the beer mug, filling it, and then the next one, and the next. She placed the three of them on the bar table, hurrying back to Tsunade, continuing where she left off, “they don’t want to give him the time to become stronger.”
“Hm?”
“We haven’t been here long. Three Months. And in Three Months he has reached levels of powers that took me years to achieve. Well…about there.”
“It took me decades,” Tsunade raised her chin, thoughtfully narrowing her green eyes, and an intrigued smile appeared on her lips, “Talent Points…Lottery Boxes…. Or him? Which one is responsible for his steep growth?”
“My bet is on him! One Martini please!”
Tsunade gripped her glass, shooting a look at the girl who managed to sneak up on both of them long enough to overhear their talk. She had long brown hair, and she wore brown school dress, which was a clear sign that she was like them, an otherworlder.
“You are?”
“Masaki Kurosaki,” The brown-haired brown-eyed girl with a cheerful grin smiled at them, “you don’t mind me joining your discussion, right? It sounded fascinating.”
Tifa glanced towards Tsunade. She was sure they had the same question on their mind, ‘Is she affected by Negative Emotions?’
After all, most of them were extreme. At one moment, they could be at peace and the next, they could perpetrate a massacre and no one would know.
“Here. Look,” though most unexpectedly. Masaki Kurosaki showed them her stat window, leaving them stunned.

“Look at those points,” Tsunade nearly whistled, “You hoarding them?”
“I need them for Evolution,” Masaki happily looked at them, “thought I need 5000 of them, which seems impossible until I awaken the last of my bloodline or find a treasure. Or absorb a title from someone else.”
“You hunting?” Tifa carefully asked, making Masaki nearly jump up and shake her hands.
“No, no! Nothing like that,” Masaki breathed out, jerking her head to sides, looking at the people who were staring at her. She sat back down, “My absorption skill negated the Negative Emotions so I don’t have the same trouble as the others. But when I tried to absorb anyone else’s…I couldn’t. That’s why I have been observing him. There is something special about that guy. He managed to absorb the negative emotions from you and not die.”
“Could be the system?” Tifa guessed.
“I thought that at first. So I went to see someone who still has the Negative Emotions…surprise, it wasn’t that. It was as if…the Emotions were too Heavy for me to carry without losing control of my sanity,” Masaki smiled at them.
“Those points, they don’t add up,” Tsunade thoughtfully looked in the distance, “if you were saving them, even if you used them. There—”
“Oh. You guys must have not tried it. After Level 150, the points needed changing. For 151 it takes 1 Point. For 152, 2 points. 153, 3 points, and so on till 160, 10 points. Then 161 back to 1 point and increasing. Basically, it takes 55 Points, to level 10 Points. It puts the humanity’s dilemma into perspective. Without Higher Races Blessing…they cannot reach the Higher Levels. The First Limit of Humanity…it’s more crushing than most people understand,” Masaki looked back up, seeing the blank expression on the faces of two women.
She apologetically smiled, “Sorry. You only recently came out of your fog. Of course, you didn’t spend last three months learning more about this world. I’ll fill you in.”
“What do you want?” Tsunade turned to face Masaki Kurosaki, narrowing her eyes, heightening her senses.
Masaki crossed her arms, tilting her head, closing her eyes, “Hm. What do I want? I want to get stronger. In my world…there exit a Being. The Quincy King. The Progenitor of my People. All our powers originate from him. One day…when my son turned Nine. The Quincy King took away my powers, and I realised that the Folklore I heard when I was young was true.”
She sighed in annoyance, “it went something like this…The Sealed King after 900 years of being sealed, he would regain his pulse; after another 90, he would regain his intellect; and after 9 more years, he would absorb the power of every "impure" Quincy to make their abilities his own. Since…my blood was polluted and I am farthest from pure. I am worried about my son and daughters. So I wish to become stronger so I can go back and kick Quincy King’s ass and protect my sweet children and husband!”
Tifa and Tsunade looked at the girl with a stunned look, making Masaki look back at them with a confused and innocent look, when the two women shouted, “You are married!”
“Three children?!”
“Oh! Ohhh!! No! Yes! I mean! I am older than I look! My body reverted to this age when my body had both Hollow and Shinigami powers for the first time!”
“You three…really shouldn’t talk about these things in public, where a thousand people could hear you.”
“Kal?!” Tsunade looked the purple-haired guy in glasses who walked over to them, dragging his legs, leaning on the table besides Masaki. It was also when she noticed there was some kind of digital barrier that erased all the sounds, “why are you here?”
“Why? For Masaki. And luckily, I am on time. Otherwise, everyone here would ask what the System she is talking about is,” Kal looked at the three, “Can we…change the venue?”
Xphargos, it was a country that was surrounded by water on all sides. It had 8 Major Ports, and numerous Minor Ones, and near every port was a small or big meat market where the villagers, hunters, fishermen would come to sell off their catch of the day. Near these big markets were usually shops, and vegetable markets. Much like on the South Port of Xphargos.
Crossing the vegetable market, there were wide plains, roads for transportation, and the four of them sat down on a bus stand, which confused the three women who saw cows but now the roads, “Is this…?”
“I want to make a transportation route. As things stand now, they actually use magicians and teleportation for transportation and for that they use Mana Stones, which is a waste of resources. It’s like using a hundred thousand gold bars to transport ten gold bars. But food’s food,” Kal sighed, scratching his cheek, “anyway…I need to do a bit of revamping. Can you believe? In a country that is surrounded by sea. Only the richest in the Inner Region have ever tasted fish?”
“Impressive. Are you going to make cement and things like those?” Masaki tilted her head with curiosity.
“No way. I don’t even know how that shit is made. I can figure it out, but why would I do something stupid? I sent a few people to Dungeon. Mainly eighth floor. There is a mountain range there, and in a particular mountain there is an ore. The same one that the Dungeon Walls are made. I want that to make those to…you know. Make the roads from it.”
“Don’t do that,” Tsunade planned on saying nothing but being the only one here who had the bad luck to be in charge of anything close to the nation, “Make it so they can remake the roads if they break. Or they have to break.”
“Can’t do that,” Kal smiled at her, pissing Tsunade off. She was going to go ballistic on him when Tifa stood up, making the three of them look at her.
Tifa pivoted on her foot, standing in front of Kal and she bent forward, looking into his eyes, “hm…you are planning something.”
“I am not.”
“You are. Otherwise, you would have said cleverly that you are planning to make roads. But you rejected,” Tifa leaned against the bus stand, near him.
“Right, we were talking about you,” Kal leaned forward, fixing his gaze on Masaki, “you said something about becoming stronger? How could I help you with that?”
“Well…I’ll start from the beginning….”
“No, there is something I want to try. Do you mind if we see it?”
