The interior of the conference room in the tree is quite sober. The table is a large rectangular table in light wood. The room is decorated with plants, vases representing forest beings, and paintings.

Eithne and Morenn sit at one side of the table while Saibus and Yennefer sit across from them.

"You probably already know this, but let me introduce myself. I am Eithne, ruler of the magical forest of Brokilon. The person by my side who delivered the letter to you and accompanied you is my daughter Morenn."  Eithne formally introduces himself as well as his daughter.

"I contacted you to initiate an alliance with the League of Assassins. I sent my daughter as a representative with an alliance agreement. So, does the League agree to ally with the Brokilon Forest?"  solemnly declares Eithne.

A tension settles in the room as and when these words. Eithne stares at Saibus and vice versa.

"The League of Assassins agrees to ally with Brokilon Forest, Your Majesty. But they have issued certain unchangeable conditions as they accord with values."  Saibus said seriously and in a stern voice.

"Alright, what are those conditions."  asks the Queen.

"The first condition the Order issued is a ban on starting a war. Of course, it would help if you didn't start wars with Verden because of our influence. But, of course, the League will come if you are drawn into a war. help you."

The Queen did not flinch at this condition.

"Second, the League doesn't want you going after innocent people."  The Queen and Morenn nod their heads.

"Third, the forest and the league will trade resources, trade ..." Eithne frowns at the clause but says nothing leaving Saibus to finish spelling out the conditions.

"Fourth condition, Brokilon Forest and the League will exchange members to integrate better and cement our relationship. We will also undertake missions together.

(AN: Tell me what you think of the conditions, I didn't have a lot of ideas on what the League might require given its importance in the world.)

"These are the terms issued by the League which are non-negotiable if you want to ally with us."  ended Saibus firmly, uncompromising on its terms.

"Well, the first and second conditions are obvious. We weren't going to start a war with Verden with your support. Only I have an irreversible hatred for the King of Verden. It would be irresponsible to pass the well-being of my people after my selfish desires. The same goes for the innocent. The forest dwellers have never shed the blood of innocent, even humans. "  declares Eithne solemnly.

"The last two conditions are harsher, agreed. Our products are unique. We don't want it to be spread worldwide and our enemies to get them. You can call us selfish, we know it, and we do it. 'let's accept. "

"I can reassure you, the products exchanged will only be intended for the League. The League has many products which may interest you, weapons, food, labor ..."

Saibus and Eithne enter into a long conversation, resulting in the acceptance of the terms by the Queen.  Saibus and Eithne sign the treaty. With the two signatures applied, a light emerges from the treaty, which splits into two identical parts. Each copy of the treaty is similar to the original.

One of the copies goes to the League, while the other belongs to Queen Eithne. The alliance succeeded, and Queen Eithne invited Saibus and Yennefer to stay in the forest for a few days before leaving. They accept and are taken to their place of residence, located in the center of the village, inside a massive oak tree.

Inside their home, Saibus and Yennefer are seated on a sofa looking at the horizon through a vast opening. They've been in Brokilon Forest for a week now. They take advantage of their time in a magical and sublime place. Saibus has informed the Council of what is happening through Regiis. The two lovebirds have been doing a lot of things this week.

They strolled in the forest, collecting plants for alchemy, and shopping, much to Saibus's chagrin. They also spoke with many magical beings like satyrs, werewolves, counterparts, and elves who treated Saibus as their king. They also encountered passive leshens. The leshens are, according to Morenn, who made them visit the guardians' magical places of the forest. They are part of the forest defense forces.

Morenn also offered Saibus and Yennefer to train with the Dryads and her, to which both agreed. But, they shouldn't have because after seeing Saibus defeat the Dryads and Elves one-on-one, Morenn made an unexpected request.

Flash Back:

Saibus has just finished off the last elf to challenge him one-on-one. The elves and dryads have continued to challenge him for three days. He won every fight with his powerful elemental assassin ability and magic. Finally, he approaches the elf lying on his back on the ground. He leans in and stretches out his arm, which the elf grabs. Saibus pulls him, helping him to get up.

"It was an excellent Leaf fight, but you should put more effort into your melee fight. Although you are a long-range fighter, I had already won the match as soon as I could get close to you and make you drop your bow for your short sword. "  Saibus declares to the elf named Leaf.

Leaf, standing, removes dirt from his clothes before looking at Saibus.

"I know, but I can't seem to wield a blade. I feel uncomfortable and out of balance with it."  Leaf sighs.

"Then why don't you fight with gloves with blades so you won't feel off-balance with them?"  Saibus asks.

Leaf thinks a moment before nodding. He thanks Saibus for his advice and goes into the village to find the blacksmith. Saibus watches him go, and the crowd gathers for the now-over fight. Remaining only Yennefer, Morenn, and himself, Saibus walks towards his lover and her friend.

"It's finally over, come on-" Yennefer didn't have time to finish her sentence as she was interrupted by Morenn, who pushed her and stood in front of Saibus. She stares at him.

"Hey, what do you think-" Yennefer froze at Morenn's following words.

"Make me a child."

Saibus, like Yennefer, is caught off guard by Morenn's request. However, he quickly regains his senses.

"Sorry, but I refuse, Morenn,"  says Saibus seriously.

"Why? You are strong. With me a mighty elf, our children will certainly be mighty, enough to become protectors of the forest and mighty assassins."  Morenn said just as seriously. The joyous atmosphere there was quickly replaced by a palpable unease.

"[lightning spell]" Morenn takes two steps back. An electric arc crossed the air where she was. The two turn their heads to see Yennefer extremely furious. Lightning bolts fly from her hands and circle around her, causing numerous deadly arcs.

Furious Yennefer

"How dare you try to take what's mine!"  Yennefer cries out in a voice full of rage.

"I'm going to kill you!"  A rage that Saibus had never seen in Yennefer emerges from her. Its magic becomes chaotic. Electric arcs destroy the ground where it is located. Craters form after small explosions. The little grass that remains in the area after the countless fights ignite on contact with lightning if it is not disintegrated on the spot.

Saibus intervenes between the two women, hiding Morenn from Yennefer's vision.

"Yennefer, we can settle this calmly. I already said no to his wacky request. Of course, you have the right to be angry, but you are not allowed to burn the forest, so please calm down—you a little to stabilize your magic. "  Saibus slightly calms Yennefer, who ends up regaining control of his magic. Finally, the electric arcs are extinguished, and the lightning that escapes from Yennefer's hands disappears.

Yennefer's face still shows pure rage. She overtakes Saibus and Morenn.  As she passed the latter, faint lightning shot from her hand and landed against Morenn's right leg.

"Grrr" Morenn lets out a groan and grabs the spot where the lightning hit. She looks at her wound and sees her once green, now blackened skin. A smell of burnt flesh rises from her.

Saibus casts a healing spell to relieve pain and heal the burn. Morenn's skin will stay black for a little while.

"She's going to mulch it for me."  Morenn growls.

"No, you're not going to do anything at all. You were the wrong one. You're lucky I calmed him down, and you just got a little lightning and not a storm."  Saibus declares sternly before leaving and joining Yennefer.

Back to the present:

Yennefer, seated against Saibus, turns his gaze to the latter.

"When are we leaving?"  she asks. Saibus looks at those beautiful purple eyes.

"We will normally leave tomorrow when the team of assassins has to arrive at the forest."

"Alright, and what do we do?"

"I don't know. Time will tell."
