AN: I removed the wishes from the first chapters because they don't relate to the story. I thought I used them well, but as you have read, they didn't make much difference in the abilities and power of our favorite assassin.

A 1.95m man with caramel skin is asleep on a bed. His face shows a serenity that few people can have. He wears a light black top with brown pants. Next to him is a coat of mail and armor with a white fabric with a red cross in the center. Placed on the side of the bed, a bastard sword is in its sheath.

The man shows signs of waking up. His eyes twitch, and his hand moves a little. His eyes open, revealing a light brown. The man looks around him while searching in his head for his last memories. This causes the man's face to decay slowly—his expression changes from incomprehension to sadness.

Robert POV:

"Hm," I moaned as I woke up. I have a headache. I put my right hand on my head to lower the pain. I stay like that for about ten minutes for the pain to disappear. Finally, I half stand up and put my feet on the floor. I look around and notice my armor on the side with my sword. The room is a classic bedroom. First, there's the bed I'm sitting on, then a fireplace on the wall to my right. A window in front of me lets in the sunlight, and a cupboard on my left is where I suppose my clothes come from.

Not recognizing the place, I search for the last memories I have. So many images go through my head. The idea of the transformation of François, the help of Isabella and Yennefer, the teleportation of François, and our fight. Our defeat…the severed head…of Haytham…my death…until the cloud of dust and finally my sword…stabbing the heart of Francis…the last words of my brother-in-arms.

I don't feel it, but tears are flowing from my eyes, falling to the ground. The tiny sound of drops falling to the ground makes me realize my tears.

I touch my tears, realizing that I am crying. I wipe them away with my left hand and notice the dark skin I have. It looks like the person who brought me here has healing skills because all that remains of the burn is the burn on the skin, the scar that will remain forever.

'Rustling'

The sound of the door opening makes me turn my head to my right in his direction from where I see Saibus.

"Are you sure you're okay to leave?" Saibus asks Robert, given the latest events.

"Yes, don't worry. I have to move on for Haytham and François."

"I thank you, Lady Isabella, for saving me, healing my wounds, healing my burns, and preserving the bodies of François and Haytham. This will allow me to provide them with a proper burial," said Robert, bowing to the mistress of the house.

"You don't have to thank me, Robert. You are my guest; normally, I preserve your friends' bodies. But, they were my guests, and they deserve my respect." Isabella says with a compassionate and sad look.

"I wish you well, my Lady, Yennefer, and Saibus." Robert greets the other guests and Lady Isabella before riding his horse with two behind him, two plaques where two bodies rest. The plates float, and a blue barrier surrounds the leaves protecting the remains of François and Haytham.

Saibus, Isabella, and Yennefer watch Robert's back go away and disappear behind the horizon from the bottom of the mountain.

Once Robert disappears from the vision of the three people, Isabella speaks up.

"Let's go back and continue the conversation we had before all of these tragic events began."

In a completely dark room with no openings or exits are seven devices. These devices are complex and have a mystical appearance. Suddenly, seven blue beams come out of the devices. Its rays transform into seven silhouettes, revealing what these devices are, megascopes.

The seven silhouettes are holograms made of blue. They all wear a long hooded coat that hides their appearance making their identification impossible.

"What is this impromptu meeting worth to us?" asks one of the people with a sensual and sophisticated voice. It makes it clear that she must be a magnificent woman.

"Don't use that succubus voice with me, a magician. I called you because Robert came back from his mission." said a deep, tired old voice.

"Ah, little Robert is back. I hope he brings good news." retorts a very enthusiastic voice. The other people can tell who said this because one of the figures jumped around while the voice spoke, suggesting that the voice belonged to the jumping figure.

"Yes, but he came back alone with the remains of Haytham and François-Thomas." answers the deep voice.

"What? How? Why?" asks another female voice, unaffected by the death of Haytham and François-Thomas but rather intrigued. After his sentence, he blows a cloud of smoke from his mouth and picks up his pipe with his right hand.

"According to Robert, François' corruption advanced faster than expected, and he attacked Robert and Haytham, who could not survive the fight. Robert. According to Robert's statements, Haytham, François, and he attacked and found a beautiful black castle in the mountains of Faore. The castle's owner is the source of Mana's explosion; according to him, she has powerful and great magic. But the mistress of the castle had other guests ."

"Who? Assassins or mages?" asks a young and robust voice, similar to an influential member of royalty because of the disdain and arrogance it displays.

"We don't know, we have their names, but we don't have any reports of them, so I guess they were mages who were there and felt the explosion."

"Very well, but Robert managed to have information on the castle's mistress?"

"Apart from her name, not much. Isabelle is the name of the castle's mistress, and she seems wary of strangers as she hasn't said much to either Robert or the magicians."

"So we have no information and lost two important members. This mission is a complete failure." says the arrogant voice.

"No, we know that mistress and dangerous, very dangerous. But, according to Robert's instincts, she could have killed the two mages and François-Thomas, Haytham, and him without any problem.

"Well, in that case, it's proposing to get in touch with this magician to bring her back to normal little by little." said the sultry voice.

"I agree with the succubus." says the arrogant voice.

"Against, this is a suicide. We'll make a powerful enemy. She won't be easy to handle." declares the cheerful and young voice.

"Likewise." declares a voice that had never spoken. The latter seems ghostly.

"Well, let's vote. Who's for?" says the tired voice.

Three hands go up.

"Who's Against?"

The other four hands go up.

"Okay, now that it's been voted on, let's continue our meeting on the next fire moves against the gangrene that are the Assassins.

"Isabella, can you tell me why and what is the connection I feel between us?"

"Ah, my dear, this bond is called synchronization in my world. This bond is created between two people whose magic can merge. Synchronization connects these two people through magic. Synchronization allows people to trust each other because it prevents one of the two people from facing harm to the other in any way. This synchronization often causes the two people to stay together forever, but you are very good with Yen, and I'm fine alone, so you don't have to worry about that." Isabella says with a noticeable smile.

"Are there other uses for this synchronization?" Yennefer asks.

Isabella shakes her head. "Not to my knowledge. After this link is a mystery, no one knows."

"This synchronization is why I feel attracted to you?"

"Yes and no."

Saibus and Yennefer look at Isabella strangely.

"You have to look at me like that. I'll explain. Synchronization binds two people and creates a kind of emotional attraction between these two people. But not at the level you felt and can sometimes feel ."

"It's due to my natural charm as a vampire, my dear."
