Only Xu Tangzhou’s ears were red to begin with but now his face turned crimson as well.

He was at a loss for words as soon as Ling Che called him “Zai-zai”, it felt too affectionate and was different from the way his fans called him. The two words “Zai-zai” had a taste of indulgence when they came out of Ling Che’s mouth.

Xu Tangzhou tried to ignore the strange feeling, and placed his focus on the matter at hand as he continued from where they left off: “We cannot go for Set C then.”

If the phrase “my presence will cause the airport to become congested” were to be uttered by anybody else, they’d be considered delusional. However, there wouldn’t be a problem at all if it were Ling Che.

Due to the difficulty in obtaining the tickets, an accident once occurred at Ling Che’s concert because the on-site security was insufficient.

Therefore, all of Ling Che’s public appearances would often result in congestion as well as traffic jams.

It’s true that Xu Tangzhou hadn’t fully taken their situation into account.

They’d attract countless spectators by taking a transit flight and waiting to board the plane if they were to go for Set C, so it’s expected that the airport would reach a state of congestion.

“That’s right.” Ling Che continued, “I’ve received an overwhelming amount of attention recently.”

He was referring to the scandal of him discriminating against Omega.

Assistant Mo-mo was overjoyed, this topic was exactly what they wanted to film on camera. They were trying to find ways to bring this up, but who could’ve expected that Ling Che would be the one to take the initiative.

It was impossible for a C-list actor such as Xu Tangzhou to partake in《Our Perfect Vacation》, the reason why he was here was all thanks to that scandal. Si Tuya repeatedly urged them to take more shots of Ling Che and Xu Tangzhou together on camera when she accepted this request on Ling Che’s behalf.

Reasonably speaking, Xu Tangzhou had a task at hand and he ought to continue this conversation with Ling Che.

Saying phrases such as “they are the ones who don’t understand you”, “you aren’t that sort of person”, “that’s right, you’ve undergone a lot of hardships already” and so on can effectively achieve the result that Si Tuya desires.

Yet Xu Tangzhou merely nodded his head: “Flight tickets from Set B are the least cost-effective, let’s go for Set A bah.”

He’s not cunning enough, such a complex way of thinking had not occurred to him at all.

Ling Che stood up: “Have you made your decision?”

Xu Tangzhou tilted his head and replied: “Yeah, we can comfortably travel to our destination in the first class. Even if we end up losing, at least we had a good time to begin with.”

Ling Che returned his phone to him: “I am fine with anything since you are that open-minded.”

Xu Tangzhou confirmed once more and stood up from the ground before telling Mo-mo: “We are going for Set A.”

Xu Tangzhou spent 20,000 yuan to pay for the tickets from their base funds, and he suddenly felt that something was off after the formerly bulging envelope had deflated.

It seemed that he had been led astray by Ling Che, the one who wanted to purchase tickets from Set A should be Ling Che in the first place!

Xu Tangzhou looked suspiciously at Ling Che, but the other party had a composed expression on his face.

The scene of them standing next to each other was particularly eye-catching, the cameraman couldn’t resist the urge to take a few close-up shots after switching the angles several times.

Ling Che was slightly annoyed by the other party’s actions as he reached out his hand and grabbed the camera lenses: “That’s enough.”

He disliked being zoomed in on with each passing moment and had been tolerant of the fact that the other party was gradually getting closer to him but who would’ve expected that they were unaware of their boundaries.

Participating in a reality show did not mean that he would be completely devoid of any personal space.

“My bad.” The cameraman took a few steps backward.

“Alright, that’s enough.” The members of the program crew were incredibly sharp.

Mo-mo waited for the cameraman to finish shooting before walking them through the process: “God-Che, Zhou Zhou, we will be departing right away since you guys have selected tickets from Set A. Before our departure, we are going to confiscate your communication devices for safekeeping, and the program team will provide each of you with a new mobile phone. Use this mobile phone as a tool of communication during our next documentary process if necessary.”

What exactly was the content of that undelivered message?

He was particularly curious and even wanted to ask Ling Che about it.

But Ling Che had already stated that the person who registered this account was Si Tuya.

“It’s too late to regret it now.” Ling Che misread his reaction, “We already boarded the flight.”

“I wasn’t.” Xu Tangzhou gave up on the idea of asking since he could check his mobile phone after returning anyways.

Ling Che nonchalantly spoke while booting up his new mobile phone: “You will.”

Xu Tangzhou: “……”

Is it really a good thing for you to pour a bucket of cold water on me before we even set off!

On the way to the airport, Ling Che closed his eyes to recuperate not long after the car had begun driving.

As “close friends”, Ling Che and Xu Tangzhou were arranged to sit in the backseat together, yet they didn’t have much to talk about outside of filming sessions.

It’s understandable that Ling Che was acting like two separate individuals on and off camera, but he couldn’t get used to it.

That’s true dedication. He internally commented.

Xu Tangzhou turned his head sideways and looked out the window, and the rare sunlight during wintertime shining on his face was enough to make anyone unable to shift their gazes off of him.

After the cameraman discovered this, they decided to do a little filming so Mo-mo followed some pre-planned questions and engaged in an idle chit-chat with Xu Tangzhou: “Zhou Zhou, have you ever been to an island before?”

According to the records, Xu Tangzhou was a native of Qi’nan, which was located inland and not close to the sea.

Xu Tangzhou kept Huang Qian’s teachings in mind, he must manage his expressions properly, and not give others a sense of detachment.

He turned back with a faint smile: “Nope.”

There’s no such memory.

As a Beta, Mo-mo was electrified by that smile. She suppressed her pounding heart before asking in a daze: “Really? Ling Che especially enjoys going to the beach for a vacation, you guys haven’t been there together?”

Another trap.

Xu Tangzhou internally cursed, yet he spoke with an innocent expression on his face: “I had to attend school back then, and our schedules didn’t match up. I prioritized my studies above everything else.”

“That’s reasonable.” Mo-mo said, “So under what circumstances do you guys usually ask each other out?”

Huang Qian had taught him how to answer this question before.

Xu Tangzhou repeated the lines from his memory, “During our spare time, we will invite a few friends outside of our social circle to hang out.”

“Really? Do Alphas occupy the majority or Omegas?”

“All of them are present. Depending on the situation, there are plenty of Betas as well.”

“God-Che once mentioned in an interview that he often hangs out with Ying Chen. Has Zhouzhou ever met Film Emperor Ying?”

Xu Tangzhou was well-prepared and memorized this question as well: “Once or twice, but we aren’t very familiar with each other. There were also a bunch of people at the scene, so it’s possible that he doesn’t remember me anymore.”

These questions were answered flawlessly.

Xu Tangzhou really regretted that he did not close his eyes and nourish his mind like Ling Che after getting into the vehicle. Sure enough, he was too naive as Lu Cheng’an had stated and the show did not go easy on him at all.

Speaking of the devil, he received a call from Lu Cheng’an.

The program team saved the phone number of each guest on their mobile phones. When Xu Tangzhou’s mobile phone rang, he was slightly surprised and he put the call on speaker mode under Mo-mo’s gestures.

“Hello? Senior Lu?”

“Zhou Zhou, have you guys made up your mind yet?” It was particularly noisy on the other end of the call, but the specific location couldn’t be figured out by relying on the background noises alone.

Xu Tangzhou said: “Yup. Senior Lu, how about you guys?”

“We still haven’t decided yet.”

The two of them exchanged a few meaningless remarks.

Lu Cheng’an finally got to the point: “Which group of flights did you guys choose? Maybe we can go for the same one and set off together.”

“We…… hmph!”

A hand suddenly reached over and covered Xu Tangzhou’s mouth, while the other hand snatched away his phone.

All he heard was a warning from the Alpha next to him, “Senior Lu, don’t take advantage of the fact that I am taking a nap to get information out of Xu Tangzhou.”

After finishing this remark, Ling Che raised his brows and glanced over without any drowsiness in his eyes.

Xu Tangzhou: “???” As expected, he wasn’t asleep!

Ling Che looked at Xu Tangzhou before sweeping a glance at the rest of the people inside the car, indicating that they weren’t allowed to make a sound.

Xu Tanzhou subconsciously held his breath.

He noticed that Ling Che’s palm was dry yet incredibly warm and his fingers were slender. The other party nearly covered his entire face with one hand and did not have any intention of letting go at all.

“What nonsense? Look at yourself.” Lu Cheng’an gently said on the other end of the call, “I thought that it’d be easier to idle away our time if the four of us were together during the lengthy flight.”

Ling Che said: “Thanks, but we are very well-entertained, there’s no need to idle away our time.”

Lu Cheng’an: “Really? What’s so interesting? Why don’t you count us in?”

Ling Che: “My apologies, it’s only entertaining if there are two of us.”

Lu Cheng’an: “Huh? Why do your words sound so strange……”

Ling Che hung up the call.

Xu Tangzhou’s mouth was still being covered: “I got it! Was Senior Lu——”

“Repeat that again.” Ling Che withdrew the palm of his hand. A soft and humid touch still lingered and he clenched his fist slightly.

As soon as Xu Tangzhou was released, he repeated: “I said I got it! Was Senior Lu trying to inquire about how much money we have left?”

“If not, then what else could it be?” Ling Che said, “There’s not a single kind soul on this show.”

“I nearly fell for it.” Xu Tangzhou heaved a sigh of relief. He recalled that Ling Che had once said that Lu Cheng’an would not choose tickets from Option A, so he said out of curiosity, “By the way, why did you say that Senior Lu will not be selecting the tickets from Set A?”

Ling Che merely stated: “People tend to seek stability once they come of age.”

“Pfft!”

It’s unknown whether this came from the cameraman or the driver, but somebody inside the vehicle couldn’t resist the urge to laugh out loud.

Xu Tangzhou: “……”

Lu Cheng’an is merely thirty-five this year, are you sure that you will not get sent towards your demise by his fans, my guy?

It appeared that Ling Che didn’t give a damn about whether he would attract resentment or not as he performed a gesture at Xu Tangzhou: “Here we go again.”

Xu Tangzhou lowered his gaze and was speechless because the phone call he received this time was from Xia Yue: “Are they looking down on me, the professional trickster?”

Why are all of them giving him phone calls? Are they choosing the squishiest persimmons to pick on!

Sure enough, Xia Yue also asked them which group of flights they chose but she got straight to the point instead of beating around the bush: “Zhou Zhou, which set of tickets did you guys choose?”

Xia Xing was making a ruckus next to her: “Why the hell are you even asking him? We need to make the most of our time sis!”

Xu Tangzhou was incredulous and became the one to answer the call this time: “We haven’t decided yet.”

Xia Yue: “Why?”

Xu Tangzhou lowered his voice: “I’m all by myself at the moment…”

Xia Yue sucked in a breath: “Ah? What about God-Che? Did you guys have an argument?”

Xu Tangzhou held back his laughter: “En.”

Xia Yue said: “How did it turn out like this? God-Che he…..”

It’s possible that Xia Yue did not finish her spiteful remark after remembering she was on a TV show and said: “Then what are you guys planning to do?”

Xu Tangzhou: “I am not sure. How about giving me a reference, which group of flights did you guys choose?”

Xue Yue’s heart seemed to have softened: “Well…… We will probably go for Set B. That said, there’s no need for you to use us as a reference since you guys still have a decent amount of funds.”

The two of them hung up the call.

“Sister Xia Yue kept deceiving me.” Xu Tangzhou had a cold outward appearance yet the temperature of his glistening eyes was scorching: “I am capable of deception too!”

Ling Che leaned on the edge of the car window and gently propped his forehead with his hand.

Xu Tangzhou had a feeling that he was in a bad mood.

Ling Che: “Gotcha.”
