Chapter 2: This must be a dream

"Uhhh my head is killing me." as I got out of bed all I could feel was a pounding headache that just made me want to throw up "maybe I had too much to drink last night."

Once I finally got out of bed, I realized I wasn't in my room all the walls were a plain white and the desk that was usually in the left corner of the room wasn't there.

"Where am I right now? Why am I here?" as questions filled my head, I stumbled around as I started looking for clues that could explain what was going on.

"What the..."

When I looked over into a bathroom, I saw my reflection and I didn't know what to do or say in this situation I was simply to shocked to even react.

I approached the mirror to get a better look at myself and from what I saw I was around 6'2 with light brown skin my eyes a light brown and I had short jet-black hair that hadn't really been styled and I looked to be about 16.

I examined my body as well and I had an athletic build with decent muscle definition for someone that looked like a highschooler "What the hell is happening right now there is no way this is me I haven't looked this young since high school."

' I need to calm down and think why I would look like this and where am I?'

" I got! I just call Mat he should know what happened last night." I rushed out of the bathroom still stumbling from my headache to find my phone.

" Come on where is it? Where did my phone go?" the longer I searched for my phone the more frustrated I got because I couldn't find it anywhere.

That's when I noticed something that looked like a smart watch on the night stand next to the bed 'Could it be my apple watch.' when I picked up the watch it instantly came to life and displayed a hologram surprising me enough to make me drop the watch.

"Oh my god! What the hell is this thing" I bent down and picked up the watch so I could take a closer look at the hologram that was being displayed. 

When I looked at the info being displayed, I saw...

" No this can't be real there's no way. A dream yeah this must be dream." needless to say I was freaking out for two main reasons, one because I just found out I got isekaied into my own novel and two because if this was the Gianni Ali, I was thinking of then the there is a chance the story may have already changed in ways I couldn't see coming.

I know all this because I'm Nico Ahmed and Gianni was a character I wrote about my novel, that I announced I would be putting on hiatus yesterday a few hours before I went out drinking with my best friend Mat.

The thing is Gianni is a character I scrapped before I actually wrote him into the story so him being here ma2y or may not have affected the story.

Originally Gianni was supposed to be a side character that appeared from time to time before becoming somewhat important in the middle and end of the story.

Officially Gianni is an Italian Egyptian 'like me' that was orphaned at a young age. He has C rank potential but in actuality his potential S rank but to actually reach that level he needs to overcome a mental block he has placed on himself.

Now I know what you're thinking I'm the author so even if the story has changed all I need to do is unlock Gianni's potential and I'll be able to survive just fine right?

Well, the answer is no because I scrapped Gianni before I actually thought of what that mental block was and since for now, I have none of Gianni's memories all I know about Gianni is his personality, one of his talents, and his gift.

"If I had known this was going to happen, I would have finished writing his character and backstory before I scrapped him."

For those wondering I scrapped Gianni because I realized he was too similar to me and just a self-insert so I scrapped him thinking I could come back to his character later and give him a redesign. I did this because in my mind no good author would add a self-insert that would be as prominent as Gianni in their story.

 Now that we got all that out of the way hears the good news.

Gianni wasn't the weakest out there so while he wasn't the strongest, he gave me a good starting line and since I know the best methods of training for Gianni I can improve quickly and since he has decent potential it will be a while before I need to deal with the mental block.

Another up about Gianni is that while he wasn't an introvert, he also wasn't really close to anybody either so if I slip up while pretending to be him not many will notice and those who do probably won't care.

Gianni also had decent talent and a powerful gift so he even though his rank is mediocre he won't be a major pushover.

So that's where I'm at right now I'm in a world of my creation in a character that shouldn't exist with no idea where I am or what I need to do next.

"Dear lord, let this be a dream."
