Blood sprayed and over 20 pieces of holy equipment flew. The 11 adjudicators unleashed their strongest powers and attacked each other without bothering to put up defenses.
Eight of the adjudicators of lesser powers died. The remaining three, ranked the top three, were severely injured. It was only then that their equipment switched to defensive modes, unleashing divine light and attempting to repair their injuries.
The great head inquisitor’s power was at an all time low. He had no choice but to take out a bottle of potion and drink it. It was concocted by divine smiths and the Tribunal had not stockpiled much for the past few hundred years.
Even after drinking the potion, the great head inquisitor felt only half of his mental powers restored.
He saw Saleen’s lifeless eyes clear and turned to look at him.
Saleen is not dead? How is this possible?
The dark prophecy spell worked. Even if Saleen had two souls, he should have died!
The great head inquisitor was unable to keep calm. His fingers trembled as he pointed to Saleen and the people around him, casting a level ten divine spell.
“God decreed that the flow of life is inevitable. You will all wither…”
It was unexpected that most of the great head inquisitor’s attacks consisted of prophecy spells, which meant that the attacks were not energy-based. Sul and Jola felt the effects most acutely. Power within their bodies dropped sharply, so much so that they were hardly able to hold their weapons still.
Nailisi regretted not bringing the 12 Notes of First Purgatory with her, having set it behind the altar to serve as a trap instead. She had not lost much life, since as a Luoluokaluo who possessed a golden dragon form, Nailisi’s life was far longer than Eleanor’s.
It was impossible for an aging spell cast by a level ten holy master to kill her.
Eleanor was such as well. However, the stored power of life within her Seven Nights was depleted quickly after being hit by the divine spell, so much so that she was unable to use it anymore.
Nicholas was protected by a lesser prophecy spell. His Scepter of the Fallen was coated in black stains. The aging spell did not work directly on him, but it sealed his scepter, preventing him from attacking with it.
Saleen was totally unaffected. His voice was infused with thunder. The thunderous sound no longer reverberated in just his mind; it reverberated throughout his entire body, from the seams between his bones down to the depths of his pores, every single part of his body vibrated with the thunder.
“Old man, do you think you’re the only one capable of using prophecy spells?”
Saleen lifted his hand, pointing at the great head inquisitor. “O’ stars of worlds, you hold the tracks of fates. When the stars shift, every living being will hear the sound of the world crumbling!”
Two rings on Saleen’s fingers shot beams of light. One was the crystal ring of Raphael, while the other was the Starline Ring.
Magic script appeared around the crystal ring, while the level 16 Star Gathering Needle coiling around the Starline Ring unleashed dazzling starlight.
The great head inquisitor felt fear rising out of nowhere. When Saleen was done casting both skills, the great head inquisitor found himself thrust into a starry sky and the stars around him crumbled one after another. The resulting power locked him in.
A dazzling magic light glimmered among the stars.
The crystal ring of Raphael was crafted specifically for killing holy masters. Saleen cast the skill with full power. The crystal ring’s light shot through the dozen of divine spell buff statuses on the great head inquisitor, piercing his black robe and heading straight for his heart.
The great head inquisitor’s body was shackled by the power of the stars. It was not shackled based on energy, but on the effects of an astrologer’s greater fate spell.
Saleen had the sudden inspiration of fusing the two skills together, and mystical effects were yielded. The shackling powers of the greater fate spell far surpassed all skills in the dark prophecy spells, while the Crystal Finger was definitely one of the most unique skills in magic spells.
If Saleen had not been armed with the crystal ring and the gloves given to him by the grandmaster, the attack would cost him his entire arm. It might even damage his body.
If a level eight mage used the Crystal Finger without being buffed by equipment, they would explode. Due to the terrifying recoil, no one dared test it even if Saleen actually published the learning methods of the skill.
The great head inquisitor felt ridiculous. Fear rose in his mind, something he had not felt for more than a hundred years.
What is fear? Fear, is usually something that manifests when dealing with something unknown.
Even though he knew of the skill that Saleen cast, he felt fear. It was astrology, something that had been gone for as long as anyone could remember.
While the Qin Empire claimed that they had astrologers, Merlin never fought. He simply told prophecies for the royal family.
The astrologers were something heard in faraway legends, a group of people who attempted to control fate.

Saleen did not let his guard down. The elder’s heart was pierced, but Saleen did not feel any signs of death. He drew about with his finger in the air, unleashing the power within the Starline Ring and quickly drew a star chart.
“O’ power of stars anywhere and everywhere, I call upon you to split the world!”
The starlight in the sky was absorbed by the star chart and manifested as a net, wrapping around the body of the great head inquisitor. The net contracted and everyone was able to see the great head inquisitor’s body being cut to hundreds of pieces.
“Defilers, you will shoulder the wrath of god!” The great head inquisitor was heard once again. Everyone around Saleen was still under the effects of the dark prophecy spell. With the exception of Sika, the only one capable of fighting at the moment was Eleanor, who was far away.
As for Don, he hid without any intention of doing anything.
A bitter smile was seen on Saleen’s face. It was no wonder that his teacher had him train basic skills. Powerful equipment and special powers proved inadequate to completely win a battle.
The great head inquisitor’s body disappeared and reappeared somewhere else. There was hole in his black robe over his heart. The blood at the corner of his mouth had yet to dry. He glared at Saleen, and it was anyone’s guess what was going in his mind.
“I can still kill without using lightning!” Saleen waved and about a thousand icicle appeared in the air, all of which were infused with a bit of lightning magic patterns. However, Saleen had yet to master the spell and was unable to unleash the lightning powers.
Lightning icicles were capable of being unleashed without use of the Thunder Dragon Blaster, but Saleen needed to be at least level 13 to do so.
Level 13 was when one truly mastered the rules. While it was possible to unleash a territory beneath that level, the territory would be uncontrolable, as one lacked in-depth understanding of rules.
Saleen never wasted his magic chords, but he knew that the great head inquisitor could not be finished off with a single skill.
Despite having cast several powerful skills, the old man was still alive. While he looked to have suffered grave injuries, Saleen knew that as long as the members of the Holy See were still breathing, they would be able to fight hard and strong.
“Ages, run!”
The great head inquisitor pointed at Saleen and the icicles above him. Saleen could not help but unleash the spells that he had prepared, as he had no way of controlling them.
That was the very reason he overspent his mental powers. The mental powers stored within the ring were completely depleted, while he had about half of his mental power reserve with him. All of the skills he cast had a cost above the limit of level nine magic spells.
“Blue Ice Maidens!” Saleen shouted and 36 Blue Ice Maidens shot out from the elemental badge, circling him. The icicles triggered by the divine spell were all stopped immediately, crumbling quickly and splitting into over 3000 fragments.
The leader of the Blue Ice Maidens appeared suddenly behind the great head inquisitor and stabbed him.
The water elemental sword let out a sharp ting when it stabbed into the black robe. The great head inquisitor felt as if his bones were breaking.
Divine light shone on the robe but it was incapable of defending against the massive power of a level ten elemental creature. His body was sent flying to Saleen. Over 3000 icicles in the air were wrapped in fire and shot down.
The great head inquisitor had nowhere to run, but it was extremely difficult to kill him. His robe inflated ten times his size, blocking the first round of icicles. The robe burned as a result.
The huge icicles were crushed and turned to flames. While the great head inquisitor felt surprised, there was still only one hole to be found on his robe — the one created by the crystal finger. As such, there was no problem of defending against the flames. He took out another piece of equipment from his robe.
The Armageddon Codex was unable to be used for the time being and the Divine Skull was thrown faraway, unable to be summoned back. The great head inquisitor took out a semi-godly item.
As the highest leader of the Tribunal, it was a given that he had more equipment at his disposal than Saleen did.
Nailisi finally resisted the dark prophecy spell, but her mental powers were severely used up from using the Grey Memory. Seeing that the great head inquisitor was still alive, she leapt high into the air and took the form of a golden dragon, spitting dragon’s breath at him.
Sika threw six javelins at the same time.
Nailisi’s dragon’s breath was spit in full power. If all that proved incapable of killing the great head inquisitor, there would be little else they were able to do. She fell to the ground after spitting the dragon’s breath.
The great head inquisitor’s black robe was on par with Saleen’s Starline Armament in terms of quality. The fires on the robe were completely extinguished by the dragon’s breath, but the hole the size of a finger on the robe expanded more than a dozen times.
The dragon’s breath seeped through tet hole and with a loud wail, one of the great head inquisitor’s arms disappeared.
That was the first time he suffered near irreparable damage. The rules of the dragon plane were once the highest there was. Nailisi’s dragon form was acquired by devouring a true high level golden dragon.
Once the rules infused within the dragon’s breath were brought to be bear, even his robe would have a hard time withstanding it.
Saleen gave control of the spell to the level ten Blue Ice Maiden after seeing an opening to be exploited. He mobilized the power of the stars.
His mental powers were far from enough to sustain a level ten magic spell, but level nine was only enough to severely injure his enemy and was definitely incapable of killing a holy master armed with equipment of such power.
Saleen glared at the great head inquisitor with his Elemental Eye, afraid of getting confused by any of his skills. He chanted, “O’ stars anywhere and everywhere, I call upon you to move fate forward. All gods that work outside of fate shall be cast away by fate…”
