CHAPTER 7
“Show you how to cook?” Fozzy asked.
I nodded and anxiously expected learning the skill that I was most excited about. Being a S-Rank Barbarian might come in handy at some point, but cooking would be my source of income. With my experience in FFO I should be able to flourish in the cooking business with my genius proficiency. A smile formed on my face as I contemplated the possibilities.
Fozzy laughed. “I don’t know how to cook. I’m a kangaroo. You’ve finished my training session. You know enough to survive.”
“Huh? No, I don’t! You don’t take someone from another planet and expect him to have any clue how to live on a new one. Keep teaching!”
Fozzy crossed his small arms. “Make me why don’t you.”
I gritted my teeth and stepped forward.
Fozzy screamed and hopped backward. “Alright, alright!”
I motioned for him to continue. “Now, next lesson, please.”
“Close your eyes and breathe in and out slowly,” the kangaroo said softly.
“Huh? What is this?”
“Just do it.”
I slowly closed my eyes and inhaled and exhaled the cool, clean air.
“Till we meet again,” Fozzy whispered and snapped his fingers.

There was a flash, then darkness, followed by another flash. I opened my eyes to find myself sitting on a grassy plain surrounded by wildflowers.
“Fozzy? Where the hell are you?” I asked, even though I knew the answer. The little purple bastard ditched me. I saw a piece of paper float past me in a light gust of wind. I grabbed it to see some handwriting on it.
Dear Chad,
Sorry I had to ditch you. You just asked too many questions and frankly, you scare me a little bit. You’re S-Rank, so you’ll be just fine. You are right outside of Summerstar. I think you should go there. It’s a pleasant seaside town. I’ve put some credits in your inventory to get you some clothes and lodging. So long and don’t snap me in two the next time we meet.
Sincerely,
Fozzy
I slammed my fist into the ground and gnashed my teeth. “Son of bitch. I’m going to strangle him if I ever see his purple ass again. The little douche couldn’t give me any starter clothes. Giving me money is nice and all, but I’m going to get thrown in a fantasy world jail for indecent exposure.”

The sounds of seagulls flying overhead and the smell of saltwater grabbed my attention. I could faintly hear the crashing of the waves, which gave me the desire to check it out. However, I want to do that with freaking pants on.
The town looked pretty laid back, with not a ton of hustle and bustle — at least not on this side of town. I hoped to see someone close by that I could flag down to get me some pants or something. I accessed my inventory and saw that the purple kangaroo bastard gave me 2,000 credits. Credits were the currency in FFO, so I was familiar with them at least. I wasn’t sure how far 2,000 credits would go in the actual world of Solaire.
I heard a growl and felt dull pain and pressure on the back of my right arm. I turned my head to see a gray wolf gnawing on my flesh, but he could not break the skin. The unknown visitor startled me, but I found it comical seeing him struggle. I petted him on the head, which infuriated him more. I heard more growls and saw his four pack mates slowly creeping toward me.
I stood with the wolf dangling from my arm. I slung him off, sending him twenty yards. I heard a loud yelp when he smacked into the ground. I didn’t want to kill the animals, but I had no choice unless I wanted to walk into town with five gray wolves clamped onto my flesh.
I scrolled through my attacks for an area of effect type skill and found one.
Shatter Punch Explosion – Powerful punch that will deal 300% damage to a single opponent and 100% damage to opponents within two meters.
“This should work nicely.”
The wolves were within two meters to satisfy the criteria of the attack. I took a deep breath and yelled. “SHATTER PUNCH EXPLOSION!”
I launched upward several feet and fell back down to the ground, slamming my fists. Each of the wolves exploded into a gory mess. Five yellow glowing orbs floated a couple feet off the ground. I stepped closer, and they darted toward my body and I absorbed them. I immediately knew what the orbs were — essence. Essence was the experience points of FFO. The difference in this world was that there aren’t numerical levels, only ranks. I was going to assume if I gathered enough essence over time, I would go up in rank. S-Rank is the top rank I assumed, so I didn’t know how essence would help me. This was the kind of thing I would ask Fozzy if his dumbass was here.
“I have the essence, so where is the loot?”
I held my hand over one of the bloody carcasses and a loot screen popped up.
Loot Available:
1 Gray Wolf Pelt
2 Gray Wolf Meat
1 Gray Wolf Claw
Do you want to take it all?
Yes or No?
I chose ‘Yes’ and the loot populated my inventory in the proper folders. Each of the carcasses had the same loot available to me. I had an idea for these wolf pelts that worked out beautifully. I extracted two of the pelts out of my inventory. Luckily, the pelts weren’t a bloody ripped up mess. Both of them looked identical, soft and clean. It wasn’t pretty, but I could tie the two pelts together and make me a hideous kilt. My cock and ass were hidden from all to see at least. I still looked stupid, but I was happy to not stand here completely naked.
“This works,” I whispered to myself and made my way toward Summerstar. I passed a couple of citizens who gave me weird looks, but they greeted me.
Do I tell people that I’m from another world? Will I get committed to a mental asylum or is it the norm for off-worlders to just show up? Once again, I could ask the purple kangaroo this shit if he were still around.
“Go fuck yourself, Fozzy,” I growled.
