Tokyo, Japan year 2015
My name is Naowa, I'm eighteen and I live alone with my little sister, Jen. The both of us have been wandering the streets of Tokyo for as long as I could remember. Even now, we were huddled in a small hut-like house on the edge of an alley; which most would call the Red Light District.
Because of our parents' deaths and massive debts; we were barely scraping by. I had my part-time job as a small-town waitress at a good-for-nothing diner near here, and thanks to that we could keep a roof over our head. Besides that constant annoying, rich master; I could say our life is even peaceful.
Jen came bouncing happily into the kitchen, she reminded me of that small Pomeranian dog with her small stature, brownish-orange short bob-cut, and overly enthusiastic behavior. "Sister!" She yelps happily. Here I was huddled on the kitchen floor reading a romance novel created by some famous author. I glanced up to see Jen hopping from one foot to the other, I'm not sure what had her so excited.
Jen stooped down to my level a huge grin on her little face full of small, pale freckles that nearly blended in with her even paler milky skin tone. "Did you not hear me, sister?" She asked poking my book with her forefinger. I gently closed my book to look her straight in her lavender-colored eyes, it's apparent that she took after mother the most. On the other hand, I was told I look more like our father.
Unlike Jen; I was tall, with a slender figure, long blackish-brown hair, our father's murky brown eye color, and his dark tan skin color. "of course I heard you." I tell her with a smirk. If Jen was this excited, it only meant one thing, she finally got her chance to go to an actual school. For as long as I could remember, the two of us have been home-schooled.
The sound of someone knocking on our front door drew our attention, "if it's that irritating rich asshole, I should kick him where it hurts." Jen says tightening her fist, her expression showing immediate anger. I gave her a warning glance, a girl her age shouldn't be cursing like that. I stood after lying my book face-first on the floor and walked slowly to the front door.
When I swung the door open I immediately tried to slam it back closed, but was stopped by a simple foot on the door, "don't be like that, I just wanted to see you." The voice came from the very person we spoke about earlier. This man standing blocking my doorway was none other than that rich master Jen spoke of. His fat pudgy figure and greasy slicked-back hair made me turn my nose up just looking at him. Not to say only men with good looks were my only taste, it was more or less because of this guy's narcissistic personality.
If it weren't for the fact that his father owned half of the neighborhood, I would've already kicked him by now, "come on in, young master." I spoke sarcastically while also moving aside to let him in. Please go home! I screamed internally. He strode in his heavy footsteps causing our wooden floorboards to creak loudly. "How unclean you should accept my offer to become my woman. Then you wouldn't have to suffer like this." He says while taking his fat sausage forefinger and rubbing on the surface of a nearby object.
He wrinkled his nose at the dirt smudge on it before wiping it clean with a handkerchief that was probably worth more than my five to nine work check. "I would rather die," I told him with a disgusted glare. He turned in my direction and sneered at me, "how brave of you to speak to me in this manner, perhaps you wish for me to get angry?" He asked.
I cringed but remained calm, I should just be well-behaved if I want him to leave quicker. "I apologize for my rude behavior," I told him with a lack of sincerity. When will this bastard leave? I wondered while keeping myself expressionless. He looked over at my sister, "oh? Isn't this your little sister? She sure is starting to become pretty." He says with a smirk. I flinched, this asshole, what's he planning?
My sister hid behind me, "is there anything else, young master?" I asked him. His gaze met mine, I was relieved to see him turning his attention back to me, "that's right, I came here to collect the money you owe my family." He says with a smug look on his face. I clenched my fist, "why? Did the young master not agree to let us a few more weeks to pay it?" I asked him.
He crossed his arms, "did I?" He asked, "oh man, but why don't I remember?"
I trembled with anger, this bastard! he's planning to go back on his words! He grinned while beckoning one of his cronies to come forward, the guy handed over a stack of documents. "Let's see, if the owner of this house agrees to all my demands, I will tear this contract right now." He says holding the papers up.
This! "Sister, will you do what that guy told you?" my little sister asked peeking around to look up at me. What the hell kind of situation is this? I don't want to go along with this fat bastard, but that contract was the one signed by our father. I can't just let my father's dream for us go to waste, "just give me a little longer to think about it." I said with defeat.
He laughs out loud, "good, smart decision. I'll be back for your answer, don't try to go anywhere." He says waving his hand on his way out. Shit! I slammed my fist onto the creaky floorboards. I am unlucky, aren't I? I sat in a corner in deep thought, what can I do?
Ding!
I blinked when I noticed something strange was happening. What's this?

I stared at the panel in front of me, it looked like one of those game-like panels in RPG games.
I reached out to touch it.
Message
The Base Leader System has been acquired, the host is given a skill!
World Dimension Skill: The host can enter another world two days a week. While in this world time slows down the modern world, when the host is in the modern world, 1 day in the modern world is 3 days, 2 days is 1 week, and a week is 1 month. The host can also take 1 person with them to this world, but cannot bring anyone from that world back.
Did I see that right? A skill that lets me discover an unknown world? I wonder what kind of world it is? Should I use it? As of now, anywhere is better than here. Also, I don't have to leave my little sister behind. I stood in determination, alright! I made up my mind, I'll have to prepare a bit, I'm not sure what kind of world it is, so just in case.
Jen watched her big sister act strange, she seemed to be gathering things they had around the house, "sister, are you going somewhere?" She asked. I paused, "that's right, we'll be going somewhere very far from here." I told her. I finally finished packing the two backpacks with the little food we had left, a first aid kit, and other survival essentials.
"Alright, we should have the basics of supplies, let's get ready to leave," I told Jen who was now standing beside me. "Where are we going sister?" She asked. I took her hand, "don't be too surprised, just follow my lead." I told her.
I turned my attention back to the panel hovering before me, I would like to use the World Dimension Skill.
[Preparing World Dimension Skill, please stand by]
Right before our eyes a portal with the world we will enter appeared before us, my sister looked shocked, "what is that!?" She asked pointing. I pulled her towards the portal, "that is the way to our new life." I answered as we stepped through. I looked back and realized I was now looking at a whole new scene from our home.
