The scene before us was different than what I imagined. Honestly, I was hoping for an island with a beach or something. Instead, this place looked like a pile of rubble. "Sister?" My sister asked. I don't know what kind of trick the system is pulling off here, but how is this any different from our home situation from earlier? "Sister!"

I came out of my thoughts and glanced down at Jen, "what is it, Jen?" I asked. She pointed in front of us, "what are those?" She asked her expression showing concern. I looked in the direction she pointed, there was something in the distance coming towards us. I squinted and noticed that it was a group of people, I wonder if they could tell us more about this world. I wave my hand to get their attention, "excuse me!" I yelled.

The group didn't answer us, they continued in our direction, well that's good enough. I'll just ask them once they come close enough, "um, don't you think they're a bit strange?" my sister asked. I do admit that it was a bit odd, and not only that they sounded a little weird. I paused and felt a sudden chill down my spine. "Hey!" I called out. It was way too dark to see much of anything, I pulled out my backpack and rummaged for the flashlight I brought.

I then shined a light on the group coming closer and almost dropped it once I got a good look at their faces. Those were no longer human, I grabbed Jen's hand, "we have to run." I told her pulling her back. She nods her expression showed fear after seeing the faces of those things. But while running away towards the buildings we encountered more of them much faster than the ones from earlier. We couldn't catch a break not even inside the building we entered.

I had to dodge those things while still holding onto Jen's hands, we ran up a flight of stairs, pushing our way past a few of the things on the way up. Jen screams when one got a hold of her and tries to bite her arm off. I slammed my body into it and watched it fall over the railing to the ground. I grabbed Jen's hand again and we ran up the rest of the flight of stairs with me pushing whatever things I could over the railing.

When we finally reached the top we encountered one that was different from the others, it held a baseball bat and I could tell it was impossible to get past it without killing it. Shit, what do I do now?

No way, is the system crazy? How does it expect me to kill that thing? Not only that, my suspicions that they were zombies were confirmed. Excuse me, system, but can't you lend me a weapon or something?

[System is generating weapon, please stand by.]

[Generating...]

1 minute later...

[Weapon generated!]

Message

Broken Dagger Level 1: a dagger with an attack power of 5, and a 30 percent durability rate.

Is the system pulling my leg? Jen looked up at me with curiosity, I'm sure she was wondering how could a dagger just appear out of thin air like that. I could explain the world dimension skill, but a system is an entirely different story. How would I go about telling her? I'll think about that later, for now, I should focus on the zombie in front of me. "Sister, those zombies are making their way up," my sister says looking behind us.

We'll be dead meat if I don't finish this quickly, I don't have a combat skill but it's just swinging a weapon and landing a hit, right? I let go of Jen's hand, "looks like I have no choice, I'll take it down." I told her. Jen grabbed my sleeve, fear in her eyes, "please take care sister." She begs. I nod and faced the evolved zombie, "I must be nuts."

Huff huff.

Shit, that was tougher than I thought. I gained ten points for somehow taking down that zombie and we were now locked inside a room where I only had to kill three low-leveled zombies. We could finally take a breather. I sat the dagger down on the table and made my way over to the couch to sit. Jen sat beside me and squeezed close to me, she must be really scared right now. There were still zombies out there, but it's a good thing we got away and could hide here.

Even still, I think the situation was better than marrying that creep, maybe I'm insane? The system, can I unlock my profile now?

[Yes, distributing points to unlock profile...}

[Profile activated.]

A hundred!? Jeesh, I looked down to see that my sister had fallen asleep, she must be worn out. I didn't think she'd be able to sleep peacefully so easily like this. I splayed Jen on the couch and stood to walk over to the window of a balcony on the right wall. I peeked out the curtain at the moon and thought of this situation as an opportunity. In a world like this, I should be able to find money that is no longer useful here.

I could make my life better back in my world, and Jen and I wouldn't have to struggle much anymore. Something in the darkness below caught my attention. I squinted to make out the shapes running towards these apartments, they didn't look like zombies and were being chased. I turned away from the window and walked over to the table to grab my dagger, those people were carrying weapons, it would be better to have someone else with us.

Besides, I need someone with combat skills to teach me how to defend myself, these people must have been surviving in this world long enough, right? I opened the door and peeked out to see if there were any zombies nearby. Closing the door behind me, I stepped out and ran through the hall until I made it to the stairs where zombies gathered. I can't believe I'm doing this, I hope I don't regret it.
