The boss there enthusiastically gave them a tour of the company, where it was clear that they had used quite a lot of funds to renovate and add dance practice rooms, recording rooms, and a cinematic theater.

“The renovation fees for this scale can’t have been cheap,” Lin Sifei said as she walked on the stage, picked up the prop fan on the table, and opened it with a snap. She used it to cover half of her face, and let her irises lower her gaze slightly.

Luo Ke couldn’t help but move forward one step, but Lin Sifei avoided her, and again, opened the fan to cover her face.

“Miss, you look so familiar.” Lin Sifei walked forward step by step, as if she was a cat poking her head out and seeing some cat food, a little scared of getting closer to it.

Luo Ke smiled, “You like this place?”

“I actually thought about doing plays before.” This place called up Lin Sifei’s memories of practicing. She looked up, trying to catch a glimpse of the curtains at the top of the stage wiring.

Unfortunately, once, when she was still naive, someone caused her to break her leg and miss a production, and she didn’t find a culprit afterwards.

Later, she went straight into movie productions and never found a good stage play script, so she didn’t return to theater until her accident.

“If it is possible, I can try a theater production as well.” Lin Sifei threw the fan up, watching the fan spin, and caught it again.

Luo Ke watched her, tilted her head and smiled, “Okay.”

She turned her head to look at the entertainment company head, “Let’s just see till here, Feifei, let’s go out to wait.”

“Okie.” Lin Sifei put down the folding fan and launched herself at Luo Ke, grasping her arm and whispering in her ear, “You were better this time, calling me Feifei instead of Xiaoxiao.

The entertainment company boss, following behind them, saw their close interactions and immediately understood, an expression of realization flitting across his expressions. So they had that type of relationship, and this one could make Chair Luo accompany her, so they must have had quite the tricks.

He thought back to her freestyle performance with the fan, and how she was inviting yet refusing at the same time. No wonder.

He tsked thrice internally, but he was slightly more confident in how to treat the two now. Chair Luo just wanted to help her lover, right, which was still pretty easy to do. He immediately took out his phone to tell the manager he had just communicated with this new development.

When Lin Sifei turned around and saw his actions, she frowned slightly.

“Do they have a problem? Me, for a supporting role for a lover? What does she have? Feng Xiao rolled her eyes and leaned back in her seat, “And I thought that it was something good, we’re going back.”

Her manager patted her, “What do you know? The director here is Director Chen. Even if that person is terrible, you have Director Chen, and plus, just based on yourself, you would never get this opportunity, you know? This is basically a blessing for you.”

“But I don’t want to play a supporting role.” Feng Xiao turned her head and looked out the car window.”

“Are you stupid? As long as you perform well, what type of resources won’t you get in the future? Especially, if you make Chair Luo happy, then you will definitely be the top actress here, over Li Yiyan, right? Think carefully.”

Feng Xiao could feel her resolve weakening. She was quite young, still in university, but, like most others, she had ambition. Originally, she had chosen the Luo entertainment company because, obviously, it had the backing of its mother company. Even though the really great resources were hard for newbies, they could make their own dramas and movies, which meant that she wasn’t worried about exposure or money.

“Okay, I agree.” Feng Xiao quirked an eyebrow up, “And plus, I actually want to see how beautiful this paramour of Chair Luo is if she’s really conquered her.”

Her manager, distracted by hurriedly sending a message out, replied absentmindedly, “Not over you.”

Feng Xiao’s eyes sparkled when she thought of something and looked towards her manager. She had some popularity as a second rate actress, but if she wanted any resource from Director Chen, she would’ve never gotten it by herself, it was Chair Luo’s connections.

She opened her thermos of tea, meant for helping weight loss, and took a sip of it, nearly gagging. Maybe, she could too. Everybody took shortcuts in this industry, and those who didn’t would just die out.

She took out her compact mirror and started touching up her makeup.

Lin Sifei was bored, staying in the meeting room. Luo Ke was busy dealing with her offical business, and the man beside them would only smile and talk.

She sighed, and used her foot to lightly tap on Luo Ke’s leg, “I’m going to stay in the restroom for a little bit.”

She blinked, and Luo Ke immediately understood. Lin Sifei was afraid that her time as a cat wasn’t enough.

“Go then, when they come, I’ll call you.”

So, Lin Sifei just turned into a cat and hid in the bathroom, laying on a toilet cover she had cleaned and playing games on her phone.

“Rrr-ding~” She saw a message from Luo Ke, they had arrived.

Lin Sifei immediately turned back into human form, organized herself, and walked out. When she got to the doorway of the room, she heard a timid voice, “Hello, Chair Luo, I’m Feng Xiao, but you can also call me A Xiao.”

The red light in Lin Sifei’s head immediately went off, what was this person doing? Letting her superior call her with a name this close?!

Lin Sifei ran a hand through her hair, smiled a perfect smile, and walked in, “Luo Ke, I’m back.”

Luo Ke smiled at her and patted at the seat next to her, wanting Lin Sifei to sit.

Lin Sifei immediately went over and sat down, nudging Luo Ke’s arm.

Feng Xiao’s face twitched, but she continued with her obedient girl act, “Sister Feifei.”

Lin Sifei shivered, as she felt that the title was weird. She observed Feng Xiao’s face; unfortunately, Feng Xiao was younger than her, so she couldn’t get her back with the trick she used with Yan Yafei.

Instead, she raised her hand, “No need for that, since it makes me look like I’m selfish.”

She spoke with a nasal backdrop, and even brought her hand up to her lips to cover a fake laugh.

Luo Ke, hearing the laugh, got goosebumps, and looked at her weirdly.

Lin Sifei pouted and patted her shoulder, “What are you doing? I just watched one of our sister Xiao’s imperial harem dramas the other day, so when she just called me sister I had some flashback and started imitating it. Didn’t I act it out well? They all use this type of passive aggressive tone in that drama.”

She glanced at Feng Xiao, “Right, my sister.”

Feng Xiao smiled awkwardly as she lowered her head and twisted her hands, as if she was afraid to talk back.

Lin Sifei internally rolled her eyes as she pouted and leaned on Luo Ke’s shoulder, “Luo Ke, is the script in your bag.”

“I think I put them together,” as Lin Sifei was hugging one of Luo Ke’s arms, she could only rifle through her bag with her other hand, and got out a stack of paper, handing it to Feng Xiao.

Feng Xiao’s face was slightly red as she accepted the script and she coincidently raised her head, meeting Luo Ke’s line of gaze. With that, her face became even redder as she hurriedly lowered her head again and mumbled a soft, “Thanks.”

Lin Sifei watched her moments, eyes narrowed. She asked, “Do you need me to help you analyze the characters?”

“No thanks, I can do it myself.” Feng Xiao smiled shyly as she sat on the other sofa and started looking at the script.

Lin Sifei eyed her, noting Feng Xiao’s little scheming. The sofa was in a U shape, with three seats all around on the coffee table. There was only one single sea, and it was facing Luo Ke directly.

She was the person who was about to perform, so she was going to be the spotlight. However, the old boss of the entertainment branch and her agent could only stand off to the side, so if she sat in the middle, she would have to face the gaze of the entire room. However, sitting where she was right now, she could perfectly avoid Lin Sifei’s gaze while Luo Ke only had to tilt her head slightly to see Feng Xiao.

Even if Lin Sifei leaned over to Luo Ke’s seat, she would only appear in the corner of Feng Xiao’s eye.

Lin Sifei first pursed her lips, but as she lifted her head and looked towards Luo Ke, she saw that Luo Ke was indeed watching Feng Xiao. Immediately, she felt her anger rising up and she reached over to lightly grab Luo Ke’s chin.

“Chair Luo, are you done with your business? You’ve wasted a lot of time coming out with me today, and trying out a part is just a little issue. You should finish with your obligations.”

When the old boss heard that, he immediately added, “Yes, yes, yes, Chair Luo, your time is immensely precious. There’s an echo in here, would it be disturbing to you? Maybe you should go to a different, quieter room.”

“No need, this is fine,” Luo Ke politely refused, and used her free hand to ruffle Lin Sifei’s hair, “But you need to let go of my right hand, I type really slowly with only my left.”

When Lin Sifei heard that, she unhappily hugged it even closer. “If it’s slow then you should be more focused to hurry up and finish.”

Luo Ke raised an eyebrow, but was convinced by Lin Sifei’s unreasonable reasoning, so she focused intently on her spreadsheets, not even lifting her head again.

Lin Sifei’s eyes floated over to Feng Xiao’s area, catching her eyes hurriedly moving down. She let out an internal snort.

“I’m done reviewing it,” Feng Xiao said, her legs together and her hands placed daintly on her knees, emitting the image of a shy girl.

She looked towards Luo Ke, but seeing Luo Ke not raise her head, she stood up, taking a deep breath. “Then, I’ll start.”

Luo Ke still didn’t look up, so Feng Xiao grit her teeth and retracted her gaze.

Lin Sifei nodded, motioning for her to start.

The part Feng Xiao was acting out was a scene in which Xiao Xing was doing Xiao Yue’s makeup. This was the first scene in the movie where they demonstrated a chiasm in the sisters’ relationship. When Xiao Xing was doing her sister’s makeup, she intentionally drew an eyebrow crooked, put on too much blush, and put on too bright of a lipstick color for her sister. However, that lipstick was a gift to Xiao Xing from Song Qi.

The entire scene only had a few lines of conversational dialogue between the sisters. Xiao Xing was intentionally making her sister ugly, but holding a conversation with her sister, and laughing.

Feng Xiao was not bad at acting. Her expression held blame and anger, but her voice was calm and tranquil, and in her eyes, there was a little fear. This was much different than Feng Xiao’s aura just now, as if Cinderella had just had her makeover and lit up in beauty.

Lin Sifei had to admit that with such acting skills at such a young age, Feng Xiao had a lot of talent.

But, in comparison to herself, Feng Xiao was still lacking a little.

Lin Sifei proudly raised her chin and asked, “Do you like this script?”

“I like it very much,” Feng Xiao said, going back to her quiet and shy persona.

Lin Sifei propped up her chin on a hand, seeing through her shy persona as part of her acting skills. Feng Xiao was quite good at acting shy, even perhaps paralleling Xiao Xing’s pretending in the movie.

“Then you can see that in comparison to the female lead, the setting and character of this second female lead is more outstanding, since she has a lot of internal conflict and changes. I hope that you can bring a good performance, and now I can just double check with Director Chen and we can sign the contract.”

Feng Xiao’s agent was quite enthusiastic, her face beaming, “Don’t we need Director Chen to see it again?”

Lin Sifei smiled and nodded, “I have been acknowledged by Director Chen, so when I pick someone, he will know their skills.”

The agent was all smiles, and came over to shake Lin Sifei’s hand, “Then, may our cooperation go well.”

Feng Xiao, seeing her agent act friendly with Lin Sifei, pulled her hand into a fist. Just because she had Chair Luo as her backing, Director Chen even gave her some freedom in casting, but then, what about the quality control of this project?

And Feng Xiao herself was like a monkey being fooled, yet she still gave her all in her performance.

Feng Xiao smiled, “Sister Feifei, can I run through the scene with you again? I still don’t feel like I have the correct grasp on Xiao Xing.”

Lin Sifei smiled as she looked at her, seeing the fire in her eyes. “Sure, since this is also like quality control for the movie, right?”

“Yes.” Lin Sifei walked to her, and then lowered her voice, “I hope that once you see my superior skills you can change your attitude.”

Feng Xiao lifted her head and glared.

Lin Sifei smiled brightly at her, one that maybe invited a fight.

Feng Xiao is *eye roll*. Anyways, Feifei gooooo!
