A dull thud echoed when Aiden started walking away from the police.
"Oh Gods Above, this again?" The one in purple said, raising his hands into the air.
"This time, let them clean their mess! The civilians shouldn't be responsible for this!" The other exclaimed.
Soon after, Aiden reached the blacksmith, called 'Northern Blades,' and entered. The door was already open, with a gust of warm air flowing out, warming Aiden's body.
'Was this body always so cold?' Aiden thought. 'Must be sick and died... the previous owner.' The heat was alluring, blanketing him and nearly lulling him to sleep. After two days without proper sleep, anything could knock him out.
Shimmering weapons were hanging on wall hooks. Weapons were breathing out a blue hue, as if they had hearts of ice, even with all this heat. Frost plastered the walls around them, glistening, reflecting the sparkling bronze.
"Hello, welcome to Northern Blades! How can I help you?" Aiden saw a brunette lady with freckles sprinkled on her nose ridge. She was at eye level with Aiden as her brown eyes glimpsed into Aiden's green eyes.
"Ah, Forge a weapon for me, can you?" Aiden expressed. 'She made these weapons?'
"Oh, sorry, hehe. Let me get Master then. She can help you with design. I'm just an apprentice." She scuttled off to the back of the shop.
"I said 'forge,' di-"
"MASTER!! A NOBLE IS HERE!!" She then zoomed to Aiden again. "Master will be here soon! Would you like some refreshments?"
'...A new type of cc? Stunning Shout? The devs are pushing it...' Aiden finally thought. "Uh, no, tha-."
"Would you like some brownies? My brownies are the best in the city! I put in a secret herb! Oh! My name is Betty, short of Beatrice." Betty continued rambling about anything but swords.
'ugh...'
Suddenly, A bulky woman stood overhead, casting a shadow onto them. Her black hair draped over her shoulders like curtains. Her crystal blue eyes looked shattered compared to her smooth porcelain skin.

'Big boobs, how doesn't she have back problems?' Aiden thought astonishingly. She then glared into Aiden's eyes, looking up and down, crossing her arms. A void of sound filled the room.
"Weak. Wounded. Animal." She stated. Aiden blinked a few times, staring in disbelief.
"Ah!" Betty blatted. "What Master means is that you are weak and wounded, like a starved animal! Accept our hospitality and rest here. We will talk later."
Aiden thought, reflecting when he talked to the bartender, 'he wanted me to stay. The hotels have spies, for sure. They will be watching.' Aiden squinted his eyes and looked up, guessing the lady's intention. Her stern expression was a little foreboding little chance he could be leaving the shop. 'She supports the police, fighting them...'
"Fine. I'll pay first." He placed several silver coins in Betty's hands.
"Now come along!" She turned left and went up the stairs, not even glancing at the coins in her hand. "Here is your room, on the left. Sorry, Sir, if it doesn't fit your preferences." She said, rubbing the back of her neck. "I am also sorry for the outburst and long conversation before Master came."
"It's fine. But why do you call me a noble? I'm not one."
"Ah??? With THAT outfit? And you are not a noble? Did you steal it? Besides the perfume, your clothes are extremely comfortable and light. Nobles are OBSESS with it and show off their wealth with custom clothing." She quickly glanced down at the coins. "You even paid with so much silver? Are you a noble wanna-be?"
'Uh, so different currency.' "Uh, no. I came from a faraway place with a different... styles of paying." 'Right, they don't have credit cards?'
"Ah! You could have used credits, you know? AH! what am I doing! you need to rest!" She then slammed the door open, rushing Aiden in, then closed it. "Ah! Sorry!" She yelled through the door. She then leaped down the staircase.
'Ugh.. rework that, devs.' Aiden slowly lay down on the bed and inspected the necklace. The white beads were pure, without any markings. Meanwhile, the gold inscriptions on the black stone were like the forest he ran through for two days. The black jewels were in their own dimension, standing alone from the white and gold. 'Later,' Aiden thought as he tangled in bed. Even with the forge below and under the blankets, his body was still cold. Soon, he fell asleep.
