The two of them began to undress.

Shao Zhan took off the rubber gloves, then quickly took off the shirt and overalls. Only after he took off the clothes that were on Xu Sheng’s body did Shao Zhan look down and see the black T-shirt and jeans Xu Sheng usually wore.

There was a hole.

There were two scratches on his knee. The youth’s legs were thin; when he walked, the creases showing the shape of his legs against the denim.

Xu Sheng’s way of dressing was usually just as outrageous as his personality.

Shao Zhan raised his hand.

And after Xu Sheng said “You feel around for it yourself”, his attention turned to Shao Zhan’s thumb which was almost brushing against his thigh, and he suddenly felt like he was being jolted by a tiny shock of electricity, causing a tingling. He immediately regretted it and coughed. “… I’ll do it myself.”

Shao Zhan didn’t have any opinion against this. His fingers paused for a moment before changing their trajectory to put them behind his back. “Then you do it.”

“…”

It was clearly his own body.

Why did these words, when coming from Shao Zhan’s mouth, sound so inappropriate and suggestive?

Xu Sheng took two steps forward. Shao Zhan just happened to be leaning against a wall.

The two of them were currently swapped in each other’s bodies. Xu Sheng was slightly taller than Shao Zhan, and when he stepped forward towards Shao Zhan, if one glanced, it was as if he was performing some kind of kabedon.

Xu Sheng suddenly realised that his idea to do it himself probably wasn’t that smart after all.

…Because he was currently Shao Zhan.

Xu Sheng used Shao Zhan’s slender and defined hand to slip into his pocket, and pushed his fingers further in.

His thoughts were a little messy.

Never mind who was in whose body.

The scene in front of them was unmistakable: Shao Zhan was pressing Xu Sheng against the wall and doing something to him, and it seemed that Xu Sheng did not have any intention of resisting at all.

Xu Sheng reached down further until he felt the case of his phone. He sucked in a breath, then hooked his finger around the phone to take it out.

After the adrenaline from that flash of lightning had subsided, he then remembered a clause in the seller’s ad, that there would be a guaranteed return if it didn’t protect the user from electricity.

[Insulating Suit Supplier]: Dear, how are you.

[S]: Not very good.

[Insulating Suit Supplier]: I saw that darling has already received the products, do you have any issues with it~

[S]: Your clothes don’t protect against lightning.

In the face of Xu Sheng’s complaint, the supplier was shocked.

[Insulating Suit Supplier]: Our clothes are made from industrial insulating material. Just curious, when you say it doesn’t work, did you get struck by lightning?

[Insulating Suit Supplier]: You… can send proof that you were struck by lightning?

Xu Sheng, “…”

After the previous swap, Xu Sheng had single-handedly destroyed Shao Zhan’s image, and rebuilt a new one of him being a friendly Study God. After the incident at the military base, the entire class had gotten closer to the Study God. Hou Jun and co. were no longer afraid of Shao Zhan, and even dared to tease him.

When they had questions they couldn’t solve, they called ‘Zhan ge Zhan ge’ more sweetly than ever.

That Friday, before morning study.

Xu Sheng’s emotions were a complicated mess. He sat in Shao Zhan’s seat. He had just flipped to a page in the familiar yet strange dictionary, when Hou Jun rushed up to him. “Zhan ge!”

Xu Sheng’s right eye twitched sharply.

As expected, Hou Jun pulled out a chemistry workbook from behind him. “Zhan ge, I didn’t quite understand the homework we had yesterday. I discussed the last part of the last practical lab question with Tan Kai the whole day, but he doesn’t know how to solve it either. Can you help me a bit?”

Xu Sheng actually really wanted to ask him back: There was chemistry homework?

No, was there a chemistry class yesterday?

A lot of questions popped into Xu Sheng’s mind at that moment.

But he quickly composed himself and put on his best attitude to calmly face Hou Jun.

He didn’t know which page the homework was on, so he raised his chin to point at the workbook. “Open it.”

Hou Jun flipped to the page and also bowed down, reverently passing the pen to Shao Zhan. “Da ge, please.”

Before Xu Sheng had left for class, Shao Zhan had said he’d be over in a few minutes.

Xu Sheng took the proffered pen with one hand, and not a few minutes later, his other hand grasped around under his desk, opened up his phone and typed into it quickly.

– If you don’t get to class within the next minute, you’ll have to clean up your own corpse.

“Before I explain this question, I hope you do some self-reflection first.”

“Why don’t you know how to do it?” While waiting for Shao Zhan, Xu Sheng could only do his best to stall for time. He raised the pen and said, “It’s because you still don’t have an intimate enough understanding of the class material.”

Hou Jun lowered his head in guilt. “I was only thinking about my new sneakers, I really didn’t listen that well during class…”

Xu Sheng, the student who never listened in class, advised him, “Listen in class next time.”

Xu Sheng continued, “Wait for Xu Sheng to get here and explain the question to you.”

Hou Jun, “Ah?”

Hou Jun suspected he had heard incorrectly.

Why were they waiting for Xu Sheng?

The Xu Sheng who never passed his tests?

When Shao Zhan received the text, he rushed to the classroom. He arrived just in time to hear Xu Sheng say, “I explained this question to him yesterday. In order to test whether he fully grasped what I taught him, I’ll ask him to explain it to you.”

Hou Jun nodded. “So it’s like this. I didn’t think Sheng ge was so in love with studying recently.”

Shao Zhan, “…”

“I explained it to you yesterday.” Xu Sheng shoved the pen into Shao Zhan’s hand. “The best way to consolidate information is to teach others.”

If Gao Zhibo were to hear this, he would probably be dumbstruck for the entire day.

It wasn’t what the Study God had said last time.

He said that the most important thing about studying was independent thinking – Where did that independent thinking go?

That last question of Hou Jun’s was in response to the answer for the lab question.

Shao Zhan circled the key points, then used his left hand to write down a line of words while explaining succinctly, “Here, write down the catalyst, add heat.”

Rather than figure out how to answer the question, Hou Jun’s mind was racing and trying to comprehend the fact that first thing in the morning, he was actually listening to Xu Sheng of all people, explaining the answer to him.

No matter how hard he tried, Hou Jun’s attention span was all over the place.

Was there any situation more surreal than this?

Hou Jun was confused but praised him anyway, “Sheng ge, this problem solving process or yours is so clear.”

Shao Zhan put the pen down, and glanced at Xu Sheng nonchalantly. “It’s because my teacher is good.”

Teacher Xu Sheng didn’t dare to speak.

After Hou Jun took his workbook back to his seat, Xu Sheng and Shao Zhan finally sighed.

Fortunately, today’s lesson wasn’t that much different from the last few days’. In addition to new content, they went over topics they had discussed before, and did some simple exercises. From the first time they had swapped bodies to the time they had swapped back after monthly exams, the two of them knew how to act as each other very well. Shao Zhan would finish the in-class assignments then push them towards Xu Sheng.

Xu Sheng couldn’t play with his phone, so he was forced to listen in class, and sometimes he would even be called on by the teacher to answer a question.

Among them was a representative figure – Zhou Yuan.

Zhou Yuan particularly favoured Shao Zhan, especially as their math lessons progressed, he would give the students more and more questions that were extremely difficult to solve.

In the last math period before school was over for the day, Zhou Yuan flipped to his last powerpoint slide – and there was yet another math question!

Zhou Yuan: “In these last ten minutes, let’s see if you can solve this.”

As Zhou Yuan spoke, he fiddled with a small piece of chalk. That piece of chalk flew through the air in an arc, before smacking onto “Xu Sheng”’s head. “Put down your phone.”

Shao Zhan exited out of the Sudoku interface.

Zhou Yuan spoke again,” Shao Zhan, come up here and solve this question.”

Xu Sheng had his chin in his hand, and though he looked like he was diligently listening to the class, his thoughts had actually floated to a far-off place. He only came back to his senses when Shao Zhan nudged him with his elbow. “… Ah?”

Xu Sheng didn’t want to go.

That was insane.

Even if Shao Zhan used the excuse of going to the bathroom to give him the answer, his handwriting would implicate him.

Xu Sheng also nudged Shao Zhan back: What do we do?

When Xu Sheng hesitated, Zhou Yuan asked him proudly, “What do you think of my question today?”

Xu Sheng replied thoughtfully, “It has layers.”

Zhou Yuan, “Then hurry up and get up here.”

Xu Sheng, “…”

Xu Sheng felt like he was being forced to the edge of a cliff every day.

Shao Zhan wanted to remind him that he could pretend as if he was feeling unwell, and couldn’t go up to present his answer.

But Xu Sheng’s brain worked a bit quicker than that, and in the heat of the moment, he defaulted to his survival instincts. He grabbed Shao Zhan’s hand, raising ‘Xu Sheng’s hand high up in the air. “Sir, my deskmate said he really wanted to explain the question and was hoping you would give him a chance.”

“…” Shao Zhan’s hand was grasped in his, and he was silent for a two seconds before saying, “You’re throwing me under the bus like this.”

Xu Sheng’s conscience was clean. “You’re not actually Xu Sheng. At most, I’m throwing myself under the bus.”

Xu Sheng said again, “Aren’t I also helping you here?”

At the end of the day, it was no longer clear who was throwing who under the bus.

After Hou Jun, Zhou Yuan was the next person to receive this moment of “enlightenment”.

That academically inept Xu Sheng who couldn’t even understand the question itself actually took the initiative and asked to be the one to answer the question.

Zhou Yuan almost choked, but he couldn’t strike down a student’s enthusiasm, so he said, “… Then, you come up here and do it.”

What else could Shao Zhan do.

Shao Zhan had no other choice but to go up to the blackboard, and answer like Xu Sheng normally would. He wrote down a question mark, and stopped there.

He got the gist of it.

After that, Zhou Yuan threw a piece of chalk at him to get him off the podium, and a string of colourful pieces of chalk sailed through the air after. “Xu Sheng, are you playing games with me? Is it not enough that you make me mad with your assignments, and you still want to come up here to show off your rubbish solution – Get out!”

This math question became an after class assignment.

“Don’t think that you can relax just because it’s the weekend. You should use that time wisely.”

After he finished, Zhou Yuan called “Shao Zhan” over. Shao Zhan had slightly different after class assignments than the rest of the class. He couldn’t give the others the properly hard questions, never mind questions from the olympiad. “Shao Zhan, come over here, I want to give you some problem questions.”

After Xu Sheng went over, Shao Zhan took his phone out from under a book.

There were two new notifications.

They had swapped phones this time too, but they hadn’t changed their accounts yet. Xu Sheng’s phone was still logged into his own WeChat, and there was a nickname “S”.

The avatar was still of that silhouette.

The fingerprint recognition worked too fast, and the phone had unlocked in an instant. The two new messages opened in front of Shao Zhan’s eyes.

Kang Kai: Help.

Kang Kai: It’s extremely urgent. Hurry over.
