Chapter 10: Faye reaches the Novice realm 

 

After Faye finished eating the steak, suddenly a small energy wave was released from her body and swirled the air around her.

I directly sensed, that she had stepped into the novice realm and therefore onto the path of cultivation. This naturally made me a little happy, because Faye was the first creature I had seen in this new world and she was since then by my side even If it was only four days since I came here.

As to why Faye could break into the novice realm with only a mana imbued steak and without a cultivation manual? This was one advantage, that beasts had over humans in this world. They could increase, albeit really slowly, their cultivation without any profound techniques, just by eating mana imbued flesh or other corpses of beast that possessed cultivation. This method naturally also had its drawbacks, because if one increased their cultivation too fast with this method one could demonize because of the many different types of energies that were inside of the corpses.

Normally only unintelligent beast would use such a method to cultivate, because it was really to slow and had a too big risk, the intelligent beasts would try to use a cultivation technique.

"Congratulations to your breakthrough, Faye!" I directly said to her.

Hearing my voice, she walked towards me and rubbed her head on mine.

"Huh, what does this mean?" I asked but then I remembered that she could not answer me, so I just waited until she finished and went back to her place.

'It's probably like saying "Thank you" or something.' I thought after she went back.

After that I also went into a corner of the cave and laid down on all four, to make it more comfortable.

'Now after the fight with the wolves and my advancement to the student realm, there should be a few changes to my status.' I guessed.

'Then let's look at my Status' I promptly decided.

I directly discovered that my species changed from a normal Animal to a Magic beast and that all of my skills had levelled up.

The level up of my standard skills, did not really have a reaction on me because it was expected after several usage, but that my <Black Hole>skill also levelled up, that really surprised me.

I wanted to see what had changed, so I clicked on <Black Hole> and the information appeared in front of me.

I started to run the Abyssal Darkness manual like the last time and once again the mana near me got sucked in a mini whirlpool above my head and started to send the mana into my body where I t was converted into pure dark mana and then proceeded to enter my magic core.

Now that I think about it, I had completely forgotten to look for good attack skills for my affinity, but since I had no pints right now anyway, then it would not make much of a difference to look when I had a good number of [System points].

I continued to cultivate like this for about two hours, before I had no motivation to just lay there and do nothing anymore. Thus, I stopped my cultivation and thought: 'Man, this is so boring, how do these people in cultivation novels enter seclusion for hundreds of years or something like that. I'm glad that I mainly don't need cultivation to increase my strength, instead I can just use my <Black hole> skill on the corpses of my preys to convert into [Essence], Hehe.'

After I had stopped my cultivation, I decided to just sleep, because it was already getting dark outside, and I did not want to hunt in the dark preferably.
