Chapter 9: Reaching the Student realm

 

'These corpses should probably allow me to increase my strength to reach the student realm, right? Then let the harvesting begin, Hehe!' 

After I came back from my thoughts, I activated <Black Hole> and one after another the bodies were sucked into my abyss like mouth.

'Hah, this feeling of increasing my strength again, it is so wonderful!' I thought, while my body was overflowing with the energy that was constantly being provided.

Soon after a few of the weaker wolves' corpses were converted into [Essence] I received a delightful notice.

[Congratulations! You have advanced: 9th Tier of the Novice realm]

'Good! And I still have a few corpses plus the alpha, who was in the 9th Tier of the Novice realm, so this should easily suffice for me to reach the student realm, Haha!' I thought while seeing this notification.

Then I once again focused on sucking in the corpses that were strewn all over the floor, while feeling the [Essence] constantly nourishing my organs and bones. 

And then suddenly, after I had just sucked in the last corpse, which was the alpha of the wolves, I felt it, as if a shackle that had previously bounded me had been cut off, and I suddenly had a massive influx of energy and strength and I also directly knew why.

[Congratulations! You have advanced: 1st Tier of the Student realm]

'Finally! I reached the student realm and now I can hunt for [System points] again until I have enough to give the little tiger a cultivation technique.' I directly planned my next action after seeing that I had finally reached the next realm.

But in my case, the word "Finally" was surely wrongly placed, because I had been in this world for only three days and had already achieved what many took up to years. It could be seen that I had absolutely no idea of the world I was in, which really wasn't that good.

After calming down, I looked around and the only thing I saw that could trace back to a fight her, were a few bloodstains on the ground.

Then I remembered, that I came here with the little tiger and directly looked towards the bushes where we had come from and luckily the tiger was still lying on the floor in the bush and was observing me.

Seeing the tiger, I suddenly fell in my thoughts. 'Ah, I should give the tiger a name, it is weird when I only think of tiger every time, but I don't know which gender the tiger has, hmm that's tricky, then forget it. I will give her a name when I can speak again. Wait, mentioning speaking, maybe I can do it already and I did just not try it out after I advanced. Ok let's directly try it.' 

At my first try I already felt the difference to before, but it was slightly uncomfortable, because it was a new sensation to speak with animal voice cords and thus, I could only bring forth a rasping sound: "Ahem" 

But this already confirmed my thoughts and I could feel that I could already speak :"I - I really can speak again, Haha!"

'It's good to be able to at least speak again.' I thought after I was certain that I could speak again without problems.

"Now, then" I muttered while I turned towards the tiger and spoke: "I don't know if you can understand me, but from now on I will call you Faye." 

I don't know if I saw right but it seemed as if the tiger had nodded it's head a little after hearing what I had just said.

The reason I chose the name, was because in my old world "Faye" meant Loyalty and because the tiger followed me everywhere, I found it a suitable name regardless of which gender it would have in the end.

"Good, then follow me to search for our new den." I said before I started to walk deeper into the forest. 

After half an hour of marching, they had not encountered another attack and thus without problems found a good and relatively secluded cave.

"Ok, follow me, from now on this will be our new home for a certain period of time." I declared while directly heading into the cave and examining the size of the cave.

The cave was built like every normal cave and was just a few big rocks stacked above another to form a save inner room.

Meanwhile the tiger seemed to be hungry because it put its paws on its belly and rubbed them while looking at me.

'Haha, this tiger seems to be quite intelligent.' I thought while speaking: "Hmm, you are hungry, then let me give you something good.

I directly entered the [System Shop] and tried what I had in mind since after I had unlocked the shop.

[Will satisfy your appetite]

[Mana imbued steak]

[Will increase the mana for everybody under the student realm]

It seems that my idea worked and I could really search for everything in the system shop, even steak.

I looked at the first two steaks, that were in my price segment and decided on the Mana imbued steak. There were many more steaks but they were so expansive, that I could only hope to reach that massive amount of [ System points] in the future.

After I selected the item, my heart was bleeding a little after seeing that I only had 5 points left, but then I remembered, that I soon would earn even more after I had increased my strength today.

[Received: Mana imbued steak]

And directly when the notification came, a plate with a perfect and mesmerizing steak appeared on in front of me.

The tiger, smelling the scent of the steak turned its head around and greedily looked at the plate with the steak on it.

But it did not reach forward directly, instead it looked at me as if asking for permission.

"Yes, this is for you." I said to which the Tiger looked really happily and then started to bite into the steak.

'I really would have loved to eat the steak, but I think the mana in the steak can help the tiger to step into the 1st tier of the novice realm, so it is better to let the tiger have it and also, I am not hungry because of all the [Essence] I had today.' I silently thought while watching the tiger devouring the steak.
