8. Adventurers Guild

Alea had gone into the shower to wash off the sand, sweat, and excess cum. Meanwhile, she had told Jake to explore Ludron on his own and that he could sleep on the roof, which served as a guest room.

“I didn’t know they had functioning showers,” he thought as he clambered up the rungs of the ladder and onto the roof.

The was a fine layer of dust coated on the floor, meaning it hadn’t been used in a while. Despite this, he was pleasantly surprised to see the guest room, complete with a comfortable-looking bed and a window that offered a stunning view of the magical kingdom. Sure, it was simplistic, but it exuded a cozy and inviting atmosphere, making Jake feel right at home.

He looked at the broom made from straw sitting in the corner. “Cleaning up this roof is the least I can do for her, ” he thought. “I’ve only lend her my shirt, but she got me inside of Ludron and even offered a stay.”

Picking up the broom, he began dedusting the room, swiping left and right. He opened the window, trying to expel the dust outside, but most of the dust got collected below the windowsill. “La la la~ man, I can’t wait to touch Alea’s boobs again–-”

“Hey Jake, how is it up… wait what did you say?”

“I’m just humming. What’s up?”

“Nevermind then. Sorry I haven’t cleaned it in a while, so if you need help just call me.”

“It’s alright. I got it,” he answered, hoping she didn’t hear anything. Taking a last look outside the window, he climbed down the ladder again. “I already cleaned most of it.”

“Oh, nice. Thanks a lot, Jake,” she said, laying a hand on his shoulder. She wore an amber dressing gown, her hand still moist from the bath. “I’m heading to the guild later for a couple of commissions. Wanna come? You could get your residential stamp there.”

“Sure, I got nothing better to do.”

“Great, just wait a few minutes. I gotta change clothes.”

She went back into her room and closed the door. Meanwhile, Jake idled around, noticing the paintings he had seen earlier. Approaching the painting, he noticed the brushstrokes depicted a mystical forest. The breathtaking, verdant landscape featuring towering trees and iconic turquoise leaves was only native to Anslenora—an region inhabited by an influential elven tribe.

“So it exists in this world, too,” he thought, a smile forming on his face. Anslenora was one of the final additions to the game, so the characters there all had extremely interesting abilities. The developers had to come up with wackier content with each release to keep the players interested. He remembered having to read half a novel just to go through a single ability description. “I could perhaps collect harem members there to fully utilize my unique ability—Sovereign’s Intimacy. After all, having multiple partners was a common practice amongst the NPCs in Bladecraft.”

“It’s a pretty painting, isn’t it?” Alea asked, walking out of her room. She dressed in cobalt robes with intricate patterns of suns and moons. On her head sat an enormous witch hat matching the design of her robes. She, of course, held her staff, concluding her appearance as a mage.

“Not as pretty as you, though,” he answered. He had to practice his flirting skills if he wanted to seduce girls into Sovereign’s Intimacy.

Her cheeks reddened, and she smugged slightly. “Pretty smooth, Jake.”

“Naturally.”

“Come on, let’s go,” she said, waiting for Jake to follow her outside. “Here. Have your clothes back.”

He slipped on his tunic and stepped outside so she could lock the door. Following her lead, they walked in the opposite direction from where they came from, towards the guild. Seeing Ludron so alive felt weird. He was so used to bakeries, libraries, and other buildings being nothing but decoration.

The guild stood far more majestic in real life too. Inside were mostly mages—as expected from Ludron—but there was some variety of classes and races. After all, a party only including mages would have a weak frontline and engage, leading to bad synergy overall.

Looking at the warriors teaming up with mages, Jake began to wonder which category he belonged in. It could be a warrior of some sort since he didn’t have any ranged spells, but he lacked consistent damage from the class. Once he had used Cock Slam, he didn’t have any sufficient ways to finish off the enemy if they survived, so perhaps an assassin? Then again, he lacked high mobility and stealth, only leaving the class of specialist left. He recalled some people used to abuse the ridiculous base stats of certain tanks, building full damage and surprising enemies with a burst combo. He was that far away from that.

“Just tell the receptionist you need a stamp, and they’ll figure something out, I think. Or should I go through the process with you?”

“It’s fine,” he answered, glancing at the receptionists. “I’ll get you if I need help.”

As he walked over to the closest receptionist, he quickly noticed Jake. “Welcome to Ludron’s Adventures Guild. How can I help you today?”

“Residential stamps. How do I get that?”

“You can get them here, but we’ll first have to register you to our guild. What’s your name?”

“Jack.”

“I need your full name, please.”

“Umm… Jack Crepusculum.” Crepusculum was the name of his main account, but he had forgotten what the word meant. As long as it sounded cool, it would work, and he never bothered to change it. It used to fit perfectly in the ladder rankings of the game.

“Lovely, Jack. Before we can get you registered, you need to complete a commission on the board behind you.”

Jack turned his head, glancing at the quest board. “A commission?”

“Don’t worry. Commissions serve as a temporary residential stamp, so you can still enter Ludron.”

“Sure, thanks.”

“Adventures guilds and quests… Seems like Bladecraft would never stray away from cliche fantasy elements,” he thought, reading through the commissions.
