Blood Ties – A Dystopian Detective Novel

Within the slums of Ebonpoint reside hundreds of factories, pumping out toxic gases and chemicals in the name of creating goods for the rich, blissfully ignorant of the struggles that their greed enforce on those below. Under the constant strain of poisonous smog, these slummers are cursed by horrible mutations, warping their minds and bodies. Out of the few consistent strains that occur, none is feared more than those referred to as ghouls, their bodies twisted into man-eating horrors, their sanity lost to hunger and rage.

When someone living outside of the slums is killed by such a creature, Colin Black is tasked with tracking down this ghoul, all the while uncovering a plot that could shake the very foundations of his city. With revolver and gas mask in hand, he treads through dangers he never thought to face, all the while fighting through the memories of his past, and the hostility of an unforeseen partner.
