Chapter 88: CHAPTER 88: THE MOONGLYPH (1)

"The curse is gone and my powers are back."

 

Everyone from both Bright Star and Deorc Star users was surprised. The angels, especially Visyilan, stare at Angelote with wonder and amazement. Ziphoteninx and Kironinx flew and checked Kairi's body. Their presence stunned Rafael, Angelote, Jaaq and Lyana.

 

"The curse actually disappeared!" Both wolves spoke simultaneously in astonishment. 

 

They turn their head toward Angelote.

 

"Who are you really, Angelote…?" Kairi asked for them all.

 

He was shocked when he felt his power again and the feeling of the curse at his neck had disappeared completely without any trace anymore.

 

Angelote grins. "Can I not tell…?"

 

He gulped when everyone gave him a stern stare. He stood up again but almost fell down once more and Dark Kurumi caught him again. He was being kind because Angelote had become their big benefactor for saving his little brother's life.

 

"You… You're not used to your power, aren't you?" Agi came over to him.

 

Angelote nodded. "This is my first time using it."

 

He was finally able to stand steadily.

 

"How can you have power, Angelote? Since when?" Aries asked.

 

She hasn't realised it all. Not just her, but even everyone around including the angels.

 

"... I have had it since we were fourteen. I, I didn't want to tell you or involve you in my family's messy things… But, who would have thought that you come from the Bright Star family? That makes me want to hide it more from you." 

 

"Why? I don't understand? Is it because you said you have enemies?"

 

Everyone heard him say it before and waited for his answer.

 

"Yeah. It's an old enemy from my great-great grandfather's time. He's doing a good job passing the baton to my father and then me. I don't want to say more. So, please don't ask." He begs.

 

"I see. Since you are still alive and looking easygoing right now means that they haven't found you yet. So, why are you worried about telling us or not? After all, you have done me a huge favour. I should repay you back, Angelote." Kairi smiled at him.

 

"Agree! We should repay you back since you did save this world's fate by saving our king!" Agi nodded his head.

 

Everyone has the same thoughts too. Angelote shuddered at their grateful eyes toward him and he blushed. He slowly brushes his neck with a hand.

 

"Well, I do want help if they come for me. But, I think it's not just me who needs protection." He glances at Dark Undria and Dark Markia.

 

Both people were startled.

 

"What'd you mean by that look?!" Ledeigh growled.

 

He went in front of Dark Undria and hid him behind. He had a bad feeling from such action.

 

"Huh? Didn't you guys know these two identities? They're from the same group as me, The Moonglyph."

 

Everyone was shocked to hear it and look at them instantly.

 

"What?!"

 

"Seriously?!"

 

Voice of surprise sounded everywhere.

 

"What…? You guys didn't know? Oh my god! I am so sorry! I didn't mean to expose your identities!" Angelote apologised quickly to them.

 

Dark Undria and Dark Markia glance at each other in confusion. They both went close to Angelote. Ledeigh wanted to stop Dark Undria but he couldn't when the latter asked him to stay put.

 

"Angelote, who are we again?" 

 

Dark Undria wants to confirm once more because it seems Dark Markia too didn't know about where her power comes from.

 

"The Moon… Glyph…?" Angelote feared that he had endangered them accidentally.

 

"Yes, that. We don't know anything to be related to them. Maybe you should explain more."

 

Angelote quickly shook his head. "No, no! It's better if you don't know about our enemies. Ignorance is safety too."

 

"Angelote! You are making things more complicated, right now!" Aries scolds him. "You better tell us or we might be forced to see your memories."

 

Angelote went pale at her threat. Kairi beside her chuckled and patted her shoulder.

 

"Calm down, Aries. I think it would be a long story… And we forgot that we are still having our wedding today. So, let's chat more tomorrow at the meeting chamber."

 

Everyone suddenly feels guilty about the couple. It was their wedding day and they were supposed to be the one who shines more but it still has a happy ending.

 

"Oh, yes, Angelote," Kairi calls him.

 

"Yes?" 

 

Angelote was about to release a breath of relief now that everyone won't ask much anymore.

 

"Please don't escape. I will know where you are going since I have my power back." Kairi gives him a sweet smile.

 

Angelote choked on his saliva and coughed badly. Everyone laughed at Kairi's joke and his scared appearance but he didn't feel it was funny. 

 

It was a silent threat! God, these two are very perfect for each other! Both are a devil in disguise!

He glared at the newlywed couple. Now that things have gotten back on track, Rafael, Jaaq and Lyana move to get closer to the newlywed.

 

"Kairi, do you want to tell me something? It seems like everyone here has known about it." Rafael asked first to Kairi with glowering eyes.

 

"Ah, shit!" Rafiz cursed in a low voice but still got a glare from Rafael.

 

Rafiz gives sympathy to his little brother who would be getting the wrath from two sides.

 

"Aries, do you want to tell us the truth? What the hell is about your husband's curse and his life being saved?!" Jaaq growled at his daughter.

 

"Err… This…" Aries smiled awkwardly.

 

Kairi pushes her behind him. He didn't want her to take the blame.

 

"Parents, it's all my fault. Please don't be angry at her." Kairi softly said.

 

"Tell us what happened!" Both Jaaq and Rafael yelled.

 

Lyana stares at her daughter and his son-in-law. She feels a lot of things might have happened to the two of them.

 

Kairi nodded and he explained everything Revioryx had done to him. Even the control of his body but he didn't tell them that he almost killed Aries. Since he didn't remember what transpired when she entered his mind, he didn't tell them about it either.

 

Their parents' eyes widened big and slowly got red. Not red from anger but red from holding their sadness. Rafael hugs Kairi immediately after Kairi ends his story.

 

"Kairi, you good child, why haven't you told me about this?!"

 

"I, I don't want to worry you…" Kairi closed his eyes which had become glistening while holding tears.

 

Rafael's hugs made his heart feel suffocated because he knew how much he had worried his foster father.

 

"Kairi, I have been worried since you and Rafiz have not returned home. Adding this one will not make it better. You should be thankful that someone like Angelote is here. Or I would not know how to save you." Rafael hugged his son tighter.

 

"I'm sorry, dad…" 

 

Although Kairi was now an adult and a king, he still looked like a child in Rafael's eyes. Rafiz sniffed after listening to Kairi's misery again but was glad that his little brother's life was safe now.

 

"Come're," Rafael said to him.

 

Rafiz blink his eyes before he hugs his dad too. Dark Kurumi shakes his head at this family hugging time.

 

"Are you jealous?" Dark Sethan asked him.

 

"Why would I?" Dark Kurumi folded his hands.

 

Dark Sethan shrugged. He thought Dark Kurumi would feel left out so he came to accompany him silently. But, it seems he wasn't needed since the latter looks calm and normal like usual.

 

"Aries, were you afraid to tell us this because you thought we would stop your relationship with him?" Lyana asked her daughter.

 

Aries nodded slowly. "I have loved him since three years ago. I want to stay by his side. I'm sorry, mama, papa. I didn't mean to hide this." She sincerely apologised.

 

Jaaq sighed. "I will not separate you two at all. I just hope you would tell us if you both have problems again in the future. Understand? We are family now."

 

Aries nodded her head vigorously and hugged her parents while crying.

 

"I'm sorry to worry you two... Thank you so much, mama, papa."

 

Jaaq and Lyana pat her back and hug her tightly. A moment later, they released her.

 

"Kairi, we hope you have a long life with our daughter. And please take care of her. She has flaws and I hope you forgive her for it." Jaaq told Kairi who was coming closer to them.

 

"She is becoming more mischievous and hiding things a lot. So, you need to be patient with her."

 

"Mama, papa! Don't tell him such things. You're embarrassing me!" Aries blush.

 

Kairi chuckled. "I understand, father, mother. Now, I would like to excuse ourselves for the night."

 

He took Aries' right hand in his.

 

Lyana smiled knowingly. "Go on then."

 

Kairi nodded while Aries' face became deep red. She knew what'll happen on a wedding night. When they left the big hall, everyone finally let out a sigh of relief. They went to Angelote and finally thanked him officially for saving Kairi's life.

 

"Ka, Kairi?! Are you trying to get me a heart attack?!"

 

Aries shouted into Kairi's mind because Kairi didn't use teleportation to go to his room which has become their room now. Instead, he jumped up into the palace roofs and sped up fast toward their room. He was carrying her in a princess style.

 

"Aries, I feel so happy, right now! I might be able to live longer with you!" Kairi replied with an excited voice.

 

Aries was stunned for a moment before she went up by using his shoulder and kissed his lips. Kairi's eyes widened before he moved her position to a hug and held her head. He kissed her deeply and wild. His tongue went into her mouth and touched hers. 

 

Aries' action made him slip on the roof but they didn't fall to the ground. Kairi had used his power to teleport them to his room. Their bodies fell directly on top of his sleeping bed with her on top of him.

 

Kairi let her lips go and rolled her under him. "Aries, may I have the honour to make you mine, now?"

 

Aries shyly nodded. She can see his eyes glow brightly in the dark room. The next thing that happened was they spent all night making love to each other and when the morning came, they finally slept.

 

Kairi opens his eyes three hours later and stares at Aries beside him. He slowly smiled goofily. He was truly glad to meet her. If it wasn't for her, how could he meet Angelote who has the power to save his life?

 

"Aries, you truly are the lantern in my darkest hour… I will give all my time and soul for you until the day I die." He vows silently.
