Chapter 90: CHAPTER 90: THE MOONGLYPH (3)

"Undria, please continue what you are going to say." Kairi looked at him.

 

"My other power…" Dark Undria just shows them. 

 

He opens his left glove and his bare beautiful hand touches a small fly that happens to pass by him. It instantly burns in a purple flame. Everyone stares at him. 

 

It doesn't look like anything abnormal. Just a fire ability was common around here. Well, that was until the purple flame vanished and something else like a small fly doll popped up. 

 

It thumps on the long table when it falls on it. The table instantly went into a purple flame but before it could burn, Dark Undria used his right hand with gloves to use his healing power on the flame. It disappeared soon after. 

 

He also took away the doll that fell on the table just now. His action didn't stop yet. He threw the doll behind him and it hit the window glass and the doll also hit the floor. Both places burned next and disappeared again with his healing power. 

 

And the doll no longer burns anything when it stops moving. He picked it up and sat again.

 

"A continuous flame…?" Some guessed.

 

"Yes… And it burns my whole village accidentally and kills everyone that the flame touched, turning them into lifeless dolls. If you ever heard the village name Hakjae. That's my formal village."

 

Some who knew it gasped. Hakjae Village was in the north of the Helican Kingdom.

 

"The village that disappeared overnight more than fifty years ago? It was your village?" Dark Gomy heard of it before.

 

"There are also a lot of creepy dolls there. The place was closed off by the royal orders. And I heard anyone who touches the doll turns into a doll themselves after being burnt alive." Cygnus gulped.

 

"Your power… Touching without gloves means that you can burn anything and turn them into a doll? Why didn't you use it to touch Revioryx?! We could have killed him before!" Dark Ceilius stares at him.

 

Dark Undria rolled his eyes at him. "My power comes from him. So, you think this power can kill him? He's immortal, remember?"

 

"What?!" Angelote's eyes widened. "So, you mean you didn't have this power before?!"

 

"No. I have it once I become Dark Undria and these two powers come from this emblem."

 

Angelote was astonished to hear it. "Can I take a look at your emblem?"

 

Dark Undria nodded. He passed his emblem power by throwing it at Angelote. The latter caught it and studied the emblem. His golden eyes slowly glowed. A few minutes later he closed his eyes abruptly.

 

"There, There's… A trapped soul and power in this…" He told them with anguish and sadness.

 

"She is one of my people…" He continued.

 

Aries gasped in terror. Same as everyone else.

 

"I, I am sorry, Angelote. I didn't know…" Dark Undria apologises immediately.

 

He was shocked to know there was a soul in it. He glances at Dark Markia who grips her emblem power. It seems she too may have another soul trapped in her emblem.

 

"It's okay… Can I ask you for a favour…?" Angelote looked at him.

 

Dark Undria nodded.

 

"The soul needs to be released but she wants to meet you."

 

"Then, let her go." 

 

Angelote put his right hand on the emblem. He chanted the same verse he wanted to remove Kairi's curse. His body glows but not as bright as yesterday and a small field of the crescent moon appears below the emblem.

 

A moment later a beautiful woman appeared in a ghostly form. She has silver hair and the same golden eyes as Angelote. She turns her head toward Dark Undria. 

 

She didn't say anything but Dark Undria was stunned and then he nodded. They seem to have a mind's conversation. Everyone turned silent and waited for them to finish. 

 

A few minutes later, the woman's body suddenly glowed and turned into a small ball of light. It went into the emblem, changing the emblem chain into a golden crescent mark. The mark disappeared and appeared again behind Dark Undria's palms.

 

"What happened?" Dark Sethan looked at him and his new mark.

 

"Well, she has given me her power." Dark Undria replied and showed them the back of his palms.

 

Looking at it, he felt it was convenient. He no longer needs to carry the emblem that would give him a threat if he loses it.

 

"Are there any changes?" Aquarius asked with a worried expression.

 

Dark Undria turns to her with eyes that turn softer. 

 

"I won't burn and turn anything into a doll anymore if my bare hand touches them." 

 

To show the proof, he put both his bare hands on the table. If he did before, he would have burned it in a purple flame.

 

"That is good then. Anything else?" Lyra asked next.

 

"Well… Angelote, I've finally become related to you as one of the Moonglyph people. You're not alone anymore." Dark Undria grins at him.

 

Angelote doesn't like the sound of it. He apologised once more.

 

"It's fine. It becomes more convenient like this." Dark Undria swings his hands.

 

"But, I need to hide my hands inside my gloves though or our enemies would find me that easily."

 

So, he once again wears his gloves and hides the mark. 

 

"I'm only confused about something. She warned me to not overuse my both powers since the darkness and light are balanced in my body right now. Angelote, what does she mean by that?"

 

"Erm… It's like good and evil. If the darkness is evil then the light is the goodness. Our Moonglyph power is like that. You need to ensure it is balanced. If you use too much power of darkness you might fall into a state of madness. The light is also the same. It will make you high, like drinking wine."

 

"Oh, I think I get it now. By the way, how about your other power, Dark Markia?" Dark Undria turns his head to her.

 

"Angelote, can you see my emblem if it has a soul trap in it too?" She didn't answer Dark Undria immediately but wanted to know that first.

 

Angelote nodded. She gives him the power emblem. A moment later, he was surprised. He looked at her in sweat.

 

"There's no soul in it but it has restriction power. Seems like it is restricting your power."

Everyone went dumbfounded. They all understood something and that was Dark Markia came directly from the Moonglyph people.

 

"Sigh… I guess it is after all." Dark Markia feels glad to know her true identity.

 

Then she looked in Dark Undria's direction since she was blind but knew where everyone in the room was located.

 

"My premonition power is light type. As for my dark type, I turn people's nice dreams into nightmares. Revioryx knew about it and since my ancestors could not control turning people's dreams into nightmares, I guess he gave them the emblem to control it." 

 

"Huh? Then, you mean your emblem doesn't have any power? Your power was actually inside of you all this time?" Dark Lusophia was surprised.

 

"It seems like it." Dark Markia nodded.

 

"How about the mark?" Dark Kage was interested after seeing Dark Undria's power mark. 

 

He also looked at Angelote. "Do you have it too?"

 

Angelote nodded. "I can't tell where it was, sorry."

 

"Fine."

 

"Mine too. Hehe. Why, Dark Kage? Do you want to experiment on us or something?" Dark Markia smiled.

 

"Err, no…"

 

Again, everyone could see he was lying. They felt they should watch their back. If they're not careful, who knows if Dark Kage came to knock them out and experiment on them secretly.

 

"Wh, Why are you guys looking at me like I am going to kidnap you?" Dark Kage was flabbergasted at their stare.

They didn't voice it though.

 

"I guess we finally know some people here belong to the Moonglyph. So, Angelote, who is your enemy?" Kairi wanted to know that the most.

 

Angelote went silent for a moment. "Those enemies… Are actually from the Moonglyph too."

 

"Eh?"

 

"What?"

 

"Huh?!"

 

Everyone stared at him dumbfounded. The enemies were their own people?!

 

"What happened?" Kairi frowned. 

 

It seems serious to him.

 

"Well, not all people are good, right? There would be evil ones too. Especially for those who want to increase their powers." Angelote shrugged before he sighed sadly.

 

"I heard about these people from my grandfather. They would use anything to get others' powers. The killing, of course, is number one on their list. Just for your information, if they found you, they might want your stellar powers too. My grandfather said they are very crazy."

 

"What is their purpose for doing it?" Pisces was confused.

 

"Yeah, they already have their own power, right?" Cancer too doesn't understand.

 

"Well, what if you only have a trash power like grass? Only growing grass. Moonglyph powers have their levelling. The trash one was grass and root type. The upper level one is like us who can use two powers or a strange one. Medium type levels are the four elements. Fire, water, wind and earth." Angelote explained.

 

"Wait, wait! Are you trying to say that you can be born with useless power? But no power is useless." Virgo said and several nodded in agreement.

 

"That's how our powers are. Some can be born with a low-level one first and some are born with a strong level of power." Angelote answered.

 

"And the evil people come from a low level who are jealous of your strong power? But then, you can defeat them so easily, right?" Gemini was confused again.

 

"No. They're not from low-level power ones. They're mixed in medium to high power levels. So, you can see why my ancestors and probably theirs…" He chins up at Dark Undria and Dark Markia.

 

"... Escaped from our world. One strong person against the enemies in many numbers, who would win? Adding to that is you have to ensure your control on both of your dark and light type power inside your body. It is actually very hard to maintain balance during a battle."

 

"I guess I finally understand what you mean… No wonder I sometimes feel lightheaded after using too much healing power and feel like I want to harm myself too." Dark Undria said.

 

"Undria…" Aquarius glanced at him in concern.

 

"How did they take the power from you after killing you?" Auriga feels that it was impossible to do that.

 

"Chanting the Moonglyph. There would be some who have the power to take others' power or transfer them to another person." Angelote had a slight fear when he thought of such a person would come.

 

"Well then. Let them come. I want to see how powerful these people are." Kairi stood up and looked at them all.

 

"Now that we know who the other enemy is, I want everyone to be extra careful. Please make sure these three are within your range of sight. I don't want to hear that they went missing while we are fighting with Revioryx soon." He ordered them.

 

"Understood, Your Majesty!" They answered him.

 

Angelote looked grateful at them. "Thank you."

 

They all nodded at him.

 

"Please continue the rescuing process in the Eridan Kingdom. By the way, is there any news from their royals?" Kairi turns his head to Leo.

 

"Not yet, Your Majesty. But, we have been trying to reach them for weeks now and still get no answer. They might…" Leo didn't continue and Kairi already understood what he was trying to say.

 

The latter frowned and contemplated if he should go and check the royal city in the Eridan Kingdom.

 

"Your Majesty, I know one of their princes. I'll go and try to communicate with them." Dark Kage stood up from his seat.

 

Kairi stared at him for a moment before he nodded. "Please be careful. Revioryx might have killed them already. If you find no one there, get back here."

 

"Noted."

 

After that, their meeting was dismissed by Kairi.
