Chapter 10: Chapter 10: Dream and hope.

Woodpine Town, place of opportunity and dream for some people at the adventure guild. Today like always people coming in and out of the guild to take a mission most people will complete the mission others will fail and the cycle will be repeated. At the table, a new party of 3 is created, the member is Ryan, the second member of the party is Everly and the last member is Sylas.

"Let's introduce ourselves again. My name Ryan I am apprentice warrior rank 2."

"My name is Everly, apprentice archer rank 2."

"My name is Sylas, an adept mage."

"Now we need to register our party name and who is going to be the leader, senior? Since you are stronger than us, do you want to become the leader of the group?"

"I don't want to be a leader you can choose among yourself."

"I also don't want to be the leader."

"Since both of you don't want to be the leader, I will be the leader. What about the name of the party do you have any idea?"

Silence.

"Fine since both of you have no idea, I will name the party Flaming Tiger."

Both of them nodded their heads.

After finishing, register the name of the party. All of them enter a dungeon.

"I will be in front, seniors will be in the middle and Everly will be in the back to cover us."

Ryan is rank D adventurer before this he joins another party, but the party have a dispute about the distribution of reward because of that the party disbanded for him he doesn't really care about the money because of that he decided to go Woodpine Town. Why does Ryan need to go to a different town because the other party already has enough members, he can only take solo missions if he takes group missions he might die with no other option he tries his luck. He is lucky he meets Everly and Mr. Sylas. Both of them are quiet people. Mr. Sylas is stronger than us but he is a nice guy. He doesn't like to order people around. He has seen parties that have adept rank most of them are arrogant.

"Everyone prepared for the monster to come."

Group of kobolds come attacking, Ryan tries to stall time and defense to wait Ryan to finish the spell. Everly starts shooting arrows aimed at the kobold head or body.

"Quagmire." The land started to become soft and hard to walk, all the kobold got trapped in a quagmire, the near kobold got beheaded by Ryan and the other got killed by Everly arrow and Sylas Stone spike one by one. After the battle is over Sylas uses a Space pouch to put the kobold carcass inside.

Each floor uses almost the same strategy except when they meet a kobold Sorceress, the monster throws fireball spells because of that they need to take cover and attack with an arrow and earth spike. After the kobold Sorceress died, Ryan started to kill the other kobold.

When they arrived at 5th floor they decided to stop because they had a problem defeating a few stone golems. They are already tired and decided to return to the town, at the adventure guild they sell all the monsters they have killed.

"Finally we are finished, now we should plan how to defeat the stone golems. Senior, can I ask where you buy the space pouch? I thought we would not go far inside the dungeons because I didn't hire a porter."

"It belongs to my teacher."

"Senior teacher must be a great mage."

Silence, Sylas just smiles.

'Since senior don't want to talk about it's better to change topics.' "okay let's plan how to defeat the stone giant, we only arrived at 5th floor there are 11th floor in that dungeons, this is the information that I find."

Everly POV

My name is Everly, daughter of an adventurer. My mom is the only family I have after my father died because being attacked by a monster. Both my mom and dad used to be adventurers but a few years back my mom also died because of a monster. I have worked hard to become an apprentice archer rank 2 and rank D adventurer, I need to become stronger to get my revenge. My new party is decent I hope we can be in this party longer; I have seen many group disbanded.

Ryan is a decent leader he knows the basic and for senior Sylas I don't know what to say about him he mostly quiet and don't like to talk about his past just like me and he is not arrogant, I have seen him give food and money to homeless children after that he ask the children to do something. I thought he was going to do a wicked thing to the children but she found out he just wanted to know anything interesting news in the town, for someone that looks quiet he sure likes to hear gossip.

Everly also found out that senior Sylas has rented a small house for 1 month, normally a party will stay at the same house since seniors don't say anything. He must want to be alone to do his experiment, he is a mage after all. How Everly found out about it, because Ryan asked the senior where he was going to stay.

Ryan POV

It's finally over, most of the idea coming out by me both of them just nodded their head every time I say something but I don't know why I feel satisfied maybe because there is no conflict and then senior also say even there is a mistake on the plan that we choose we can just attempt the dungeon again because of that word I become more motivated.

 

Everly also agreed, I hope this party will last a long time but I know it is impossible, especially senior, I know he is a B rank adventurer, he says he is on a journey so he will not stay in the same town for a long time. I hope I can learn something from the senior before he leaves. Let's ask about martial arts. Maybe seniors know something.
