Chapter 47: Chapter 47: Hornet Nest.

Few days later a group of men and women carrying weapons are walking to the Eclipse merchant shop. The people outside of the shop and road make room for the group to pass. Without saying anything they all begin to attack the shop's large glass window and door. All kinds of attacks hit the shop but nothing happens because the whole shop has been protected by a defense formation. After a while they decided to take turns attacking the shop to weaken the defense formation.

The people outside the shop just watch the group attacking the shop. In this city power is the rule. Even if they report to the city guard, they will just keep silent about it because some of the people recognize the group that are attacking the shop. The Spotted Snake group is one of the criminal gangs in Esasa city.

Sylas has been busy making medicine and potion for the shop the whole morning, so he decides to make lunch. Looking at the shop glass window he sees a group of people are attacking his shop. But he decides to make lunch first, because the strongest person that he sees is an adept rank. The defense formation that he set up can withstand even a few attacks of a master rank.

The Spotted Snake group, while attacking, notice a man wearing a mage robe inside the shop. They all begin to curse at that man, because they can see that the mage even arranges a table and chair near the glass window. The mage also is preparing to eat food, while watching them attack the shop. The group before preparing to attack the Eclipse merchant shop they already gather information about this shop. The owner's name is Sylas and he might be an alchemist and mage. At first they are afraid to take this job because fighting a mage is not easy, but the reward is good and they have 3 adept rank humans in the group.

From Sylas perspective it's just like watching a monkey in the zoo. After finish eating, he decided to go out and exercise. When Sylas opens the shop door, all the Spotted Snake group stop attacking and fall back and ready to attack. Standing in front is a Spotted Snake group boss named Brooks, an adept rank Rogue, before Brooks can say anything about a terrifying mana coming from Sylas, a mana normally can't be seen with naked eyes appearing as vast as an ocean covering the sky. At this time that Brooks knows that he has poke a hornet nest, all of the Spotted Snake group begin kneeling to beg for forgiveness and their heads are hitting the ground repeatedly. Brooks knows that he going to die and just knelling there without doing anything, offending a Master rank mage is the most stupid thing that he has done.

"I haven't killed someone for a while; do you have any last word?" Sylas asks. When the Spotted Snake group hears that, all of them begin to cry and beg.

"Wait please wait, please spare my husband!" A pregnant woman running toward one of the men beside Brooks.

"Chloe, why are you here? go away!" That man shouted.

"No! Miles I knew something would go wrong today, but you don't believe me." Chloe says.

Sylas just watches the husband and wife arguing, at first he decides to kill all of the Spotted Snake group. But after seeing the pregnant woman he loses interest.

"Who asked you to kill me?" Sylas asks.

"No! senior, this is all a misunderstanding, we are only here to destroy the shop." Brooks says.

"So, what kind of punishment should I give you, for trying to destroy my shop?" Sylas says with an eerily smile.

"Please forgive me senior!" Brooks says while hitting his head on the ground repeatedly, people can see that the ground starts to turn red.

"Fine I will not kill you, tell me who sent you?"

"Thank you senior, the one that hired us is the Esasa city merchant union leader." Brooks says.

"Follow me to see the merchant union leader, here is my gift, Shadow Curse." A black shadow comes out from Sylas Hand and enters each of the Spotted Snake group member shadows. "You guys need to work for me starting today. If you guys betray me, your own shadow will kill you. Let's go."

Esasa city merchant union building. Right now all the merchants inside the building are in panic including the merchant union leader. They have made huge mistakes; the only way out is death. Finding trouble with a master rank mage even if the mage kills everyone in this building the kingdom will turn a blind eye.

"He is here!" someone shouted from outside the room.

Sylas just walks inside the building like he owns the place, behind him is Brooks following him. They are few people that stupid enough try to stop him, he just makes them fainted. In front of him is a big door. He just kicks the door using his master rank physical strength, the door flies through the ceiling and makes a hole.

All the merchants inside the room have turned pale in fright, Sylas just walks inside the room, and asks who is the leader. All of them pointed at the old man wearing expensive clothes with a jewel ring on all of his fingers.

"Old man, I give you two choices: obey me or die, which one do you choose?" Sylas says.

The old man takes a deep breath and sighs. "I choose to obey you." All of the merchants also say the same thing. Just like that the entire Esasa city merchant union is under Sylas control. Sylas first order is to give him the herbs and goods inside the list that he will give later. The second order is to help him gather information about Sandy Grasslands. When the Esasa city merchant union hears the order they all make a surprise face, because they thought Sylas will ask for all of their treasure and goods. They all agreed and Sylas orders Brooks to become a middle man between him and the Esasa city merchant union if there are any problems.

After Sylas left, all of the merchants sigh in relief, Sylas demand is not excessive, even if they can't find the goods they can discuss it with Brooks. The merchant looks at Brooks with a friendly smile. Brooks looking at the merchant's weird smile, gets goosebumps.
