Aylin sat on the edge of the bed fiddling with a device in her hand as Reaper came in. He was confused about what she was doing all alone herself.

"Aylin?" Reaper asked.

"I learned where they are…I know Tre very well." Aylin smiled.

"We can't just walk in there!" Reaper noted.

"But I traced them back to another source," Aylin muttered.

"A contest, but how did you find the entrants?" Reaper questioned.

"I got a tip-off from equipment that had been sent to them and soon who plans to visit them." She explained.

"Who?"

"Lady Spider…" Aylin stated.

"I see…I think he kidnapped the twins." Reaper replied.

"We literally went over this before Reaper! We already knew!" She stated.

"Oh right, but what are you planning?"

"We need to enter to save Lian…"

Placing it down gently she jumped off the bed with all her might. She dashed out of the room to the phone that has always been in the same place where it had been next to the photo frame moving her fingers to dial when Reaper stopped her.

"Who are you calling?" Reaper questioned.

"Someone else who was close to Merrik."

Aylin jerked the phone away from Reaper's hand. She wasn't sure what else to do other than take this risk. She dialed again quickly holding the receiver to her ear.

"Maddox, do you remember me?" She asked.

"Maddox…I give up!" Reaper sighed.

She would ignore Reaper continuing her conversation as a horn outside honked several times having him answer the door.

"We have a fresh one for you Reaper!" The man laughed.

"Be respectful!" Reaper scolded.

He swiped the clipboard looking at the notes and pages printed of the person inside the hearse. The man invited himself inside to take a seat on the chair.

"Reaper, when will stop caring?" He said.

Pulling out a cigarette from his pocket he lit it by thrusting his finger against the sole of his shoe lighting it.

"All live are equel…poor embalmers son." Reaper mourned.

"Did you find him yet?"

"Not yet Graham, but I feel horrible," Reaper answered.

"We already know they have implemented the device," Aylin stated.

"Hey! It's the princess!" Graham snickered.

"Call me that again and I will kill you!" She shouted.

"Whatever…I will unload the corpse and get out of here already," Graham noted.

Getting up from the chair he strolled back out the door unlocking the hinges beneath to knock the other double door open with his foot.

"The competition is two years, Reaper!" Aylin yelled.

"Two years? Is there anything else you can track beyond that sooner?"

Staring down at the pad she checked through the lists. She was unsure what else she could really say to Reaper other than what she had.

"Call Tre…were going to challenge them properly." She said.

"What if we lose?!" Reaper shouted.

"Then that is a possibility we must take."

A smashing behind a coffin nearly broke the tiled floors. Reaper stopped what he was thinking to look at the body's condition immediately. Aylin peaked at the deceased.

"He lived a long life." She smiled.

"You can see it too?" Reaper responded.

"We will never die like Merrik and Lian it is our curse," Aylin replied.

"Yet it is a reaper's humanly duty to help the dead pass…if we don't save Lian before that his life will at stake." Reaper noted.

"The fight is for other types who pass on the dead…this isn't good."

"I miss the twins they sure were nice." Graham yawned.

"We're going to get them back, but it will take time," Aylin mumbled.

"How do we make the twins remember?" Reaper pondered.

"I have a way…Lian…I sometimes see his mind now and I know Tre had set another sword up with him slowly diminishing my memory."

Aylin wanted to cry. She didn't know what to do about this feeling tightening in her chest. Reaper's hand on her shoulder distracted her.

"Do you know why he wants Lian?" Reaper asked.

"I do…memories of Merrik and his invention…"

Okay, okay, but what is up with that freaky design?" Graham asked.

Recalling the notes in her mind she thought for a few seconds. Merrik originally wanted her to destroy the papers, but she had deactivated the second she dropped from his fingertips to the ground.

"If it's not too late we need to get this done soon as possible."

Graham slammed his hands down on the table. Aylin looked into his eyes almost forgetting the question. He became instantly angry.

"You didn't answer my question princess!" He yowled.

"If they produced the product right he will become a killing machine!"

"Now couldn't you have just said that?" Graham asked.

"I have work to do!" Reaper argued.

"I got to be going too in case! See ya, princess!" Graham snickered.

"What did you say?" Merrik questioned.

Soliel shook her head giving a big cheeky grin. Merrik slowly grew a heart since he had children despite not being allowed to see them by law. Soliel was curious about human babies.

"Nothing I was wondering will you see your kids?" Soliel asked.

"I technically broke the rules in finding a wife." He laughed.

"I see…But by having a child means you are now slowly dying.." She pointed out.

"I am…Soliel?"

She lifted her head gazing directly into his eyes. Her fingers curled as she bit into her lips out of frustration.

"Yes, master…"

"Take care of Lian, please. I b-beg you!" He demanded.

Aylin shuddered. She didn't expect this request so soon. She lept into his arms ready to wail though, in the end, froze only wishing to know his scent forever.

"Merrik…"

"Hey, is this where you are at?" A voice called.

A shadow lingered at the opened exit. Unmoving they stood there. Audibly they he sounded silky on the ears almost causing her to blush.

"I wanted to come to settle the payment for the funeral." A man said.

"Oh right! I can help you!" She said.

"Good…I feel for what happened." He answered.
