"Finally better…do you need help going back to your room?" Ares asked.

Pulling his shirt back over. He noticed tingling slightly in both hands as he teetered to and fro. Back in his room, he collapsed on the bed tied to the tests and procedures given to him by the team he doesn't see as family.

The hobble had no clocks and never at any given time is he given has he been able to observe the cycles of the day. A day would go on forever learning what six o clock? He knew from watching the sun alone.

Midnight had a stale feeling in the cold air. A house of madness sat with him. Aylin was gone from the corner returning upon observation.

"The room is a mess…" Lian spouted.

Shooting a glance he spotted the blood has since then blackened in his doorway. A heightened sense of smell had him sit up.

"When…could I do that?" Lian pondered.

The musty smell of the rotting wood had him close his nose with his hand. The blood had a dimmed iron smell slightly diminishing he followed it to the door like last time pushing his weight against it.

Coughing could be heard inside placing his ear against the grain of the wood. He knocked softly.

"Hello!" Lian whispered.

"Li-an…"

The groggy sound of a moan could be heard inside the space. Testing the handle at first he wondered what he could do recalling the device forced into his body.

"Give me a second!" Lian said softly.

He positioned himself after looking around against the door to hear the whirr of the machine eating into his skin. The smell of smoke hardly bothered him putting his back into breaking the hinges off.

His foot started to sink into the damp ground. Muscles he never used before felt pain.

"Nnnggg!" He cried out.

Lian's finger splintered the wood of the door notching a hole. The rest of the door easily crumbled to his touch to find Reaper and Graham inside.

"Shhh!" Lian said.

Placing his fingers to his mouth. He helped them to the front door leading them outside. Reaper took Lian by the hand as he reversed.

"Come with us…"  Reaper said.

"I can't, I have to finish my Dad's business!" Lain answered.

"I know that look!" Reaper smiled.

"Like Merrick?" A voice laughed.

They turned to find Tremain behind them clapping his hands slowly. Lian's body trembled in this new sense of self-awareness.

"I-I saw Merrick!" Lian spouted.

"Of course, he would come to his only son," Tremain smirked.

Shuffling toward Lian down the hall placing his hand out at the boy who began to look around. A glowing ball could be seen inside of Graham like a flame passionate and bright deep inside his chest.

"I am not sure who you are, but I need to use your heart!" Lian shouted.

Pushing his hand inside of the man. A wheel of fire set a blaze into two wheels morphing into a grand slightly tinted orange ornate sword.

"What is this!" Lian yelled.

"Use me carefully reaper child!" Graham snickered.

"You really think that toy will do any damage to me?" Tremain asked.

Lian only shrugged as he swung it below him. Drawing his eyes downward he stopped in front of Tremain holding the weapon in tow.

"It's ironic this man's soul was fire," Lian replied.

His head bobbed head. A small teardrop slid down his face catching Tremain off-guard tossing the sword to the ground.

"What are you trying to do?" Tremain answered.

"Oh…that was just a ploy!" Lian smiled.

His hand pressed against his chest. The stern look on his, but one of despair could not be shaken inside of him.

A grande light set Tremain and Lian inside the very room Merrick ended his life. A man walked into the room dressed in his argyle blue sweater and long white top.

Tremain wanted to faint at the sight of his old friend. He grinned ear to ear placing his hand out to the man he once knew.

"Tremain, welcome to my domain…" He grinned.

"Domain? Aren't you dead?" Tremain shouted.

"Funny thing about that. I am too dangerous for many so I am kept in this place you kept safe for me." He explained.

"What are you trying to say?" Tremain asked.

A glimmering luminous shine thrust into Merrick's hand manifesting into a large scythe. The heat coming off of its blade was enough to melt someone with a single slice.

"You know I wanted the house gone."

"But I didn't!" Tremain argued.

"That's why you stole my kid away and used my own work on him as a sick little guinea pig," Merrick stated.

"It's not like that!" Tremain said nervously.

Taking a step forward Tremain stuck his hands out. He never felt this fear before with this man in front of him. Merrick shoved his large sun-dowsed weapon in his face.

"Give me a reason I shouldn't take you with me?" Merrick said happily.

"Because we fought side by side! Because we have always known each other! Why are you so cruel?!" Tremain begged.

Merrick yawned as he kept explaining himself over and over. His torment torturing the people of his small funeral parlor all had become. A large stomp with the scythe into the damp wood despite being in a projected place left a dent.

Tremain felt suddenly scared. Merrick gazed at the nails on his hand downwards to the scars that left him discolored over the ages.

"Do you remember our first master?" Merrick asked.

"I-I do…Master Tang…"

Reaper, Graham, and Lian looked onward with intensity. The man who truly never experienced kindness would see his anger and worry for him. A silent vow to never have a child had been finally pushed into his mind.

"Do you remember what he taught us?" Merrick questioned.

"Kindness, but begets nothing!" Lian must learn the hard way!" Tremain shouted.

"You are no teacher my child needs," Merrick smirked.
