Chapter 4: Chapter 3: [1:8] Espiègle Demoiselle – Camouflaged Bandit Attack

As I watch the black smoke rising from the direction of the village, my suddenly carried me to the house and as she put me on chair, she prepares herself by wearing some leather armor and a sword that is like a katana but has but an edge on both sides. As she finished preparing her sword and armor she glance at me and pull me in the arm to follow her and lead me to a closet. Then she put me inside the closet and gave me a dagger with a scabbard.

"Lynora sweetie~, make sure that you stay here and stay silent as possible until we come back oka~y?"

Mother said and I nodded my head slightly at her and she smiled then closed the closet before she leaves.

As I waited for mother and father to come back, I thought about what my mother said about father that he's a noble family of Knight's and that mother is an adventurer. What I know is that adventurer is no different from commoner and as father is part of the nobility. Then should it be impossible for them to marry unless mother become part of the nobility or for father to give up both his status as a noble and knight and become a commoner. Don't tell me mother and father elope? 

As I have that though in mind, suddenly there's a sound of a door being open by force. As I stay silent as possible by doing the things that my father and mother taught me about. The door was opened and I heard many footsteps coming from the front door. 

As they went here and there finding something, one man said.

Bandit1: "Hey! Continue looking! We don't have time for stealing the goods! Remember what were here for!"

"They're not bandits? Then who are they? What are they looking for?"

As I continue hiding, another man spoke.

Bandit2: "Are sure this is the right house?"

Old man: "Y-yes, this is the house of Emily and Leonarth! So please let me go now! I already told you what you guys want!"

As I heard someone's voice I'm familiar with also came out, I finally understood that this is not a normal bandit raid but camouflage and their real objective is to find something that my mother and father have. That means that if they found me, they will use me as a hostage to force mother and father to hand that "something".

"Geez! Mother and father definitely elope! And they also brought something that must be important to that noble family where father came from!"

As I complain to both my parents in my head, footsteps are coming close to the closet where I'm hiding right now. As I quickly think of something, I hid the dagger in my clothes in my back. Then the closet open and a guy that has a look that just scream bandit, he look at me and smiled. 

Bandit3: "Hello there little fella~. Why are you hiding in the closet? Where not bad people you know?"

Lynora: "Bad guys don't enter someone's home without knocking and destroying they're belongings!"

As I complained to the bandit in front of me, he forcefully grab my hand and pulled me out of the closet and as he pulled me out of house, he told something to his comrades.

Bandit3: "Looks like we can't find here so let's burn the house! That item won't be destroyed in a fire anyway and I found their kid!"

Lynora: "let me go! My parents said I shouldn't go with strangers!"

Bandit3: "My name's Roman!"

Bandit2: "And I'm Romano!"

Bandit1: "I'm Ramono!"

Lynora: " .. Lynora. Are you guys brothers?"

"""How did you know?"""

Lynora: "It's obvious"

"I wonder if they're just some idiots?"

Roman: "Sorry lass, but you're coming us. Whether you like it or not"

As I was reminded of my situation the man Roman said it and carried me up in his waist using his left arm. As they let go of the old man as promised and burn the house, they ran away with me in tow.
