Sacred Beast Protector, Azure Dragon (2)

'Dammit...' Watching the suddenly slumbering Tornyllia in his arms be completely out of it, Yun Beishang almost felt his heart tear apart with the prospect of Tornyllia becoming like that. Though he hadn't had any kind of lovey dovey action with Tornyllia so far, the way in which she lived almost all of the time inside his White Space and spent her dear life along with his women, was an obviously effective way to make Yun Beishang end up liking her being around. And, right now, seeing what he had disliked so terribly much in the past was then about to happen to her; he was fucking not going to let that happen.

"Tornyllia, you're okay. Hear my voice, hey, listen to me. You'll be fine, so just come into my White Space and relax there, soon... I'll soon cure you up. Go back." Speaking softly at her impossibly adorable face with yet the wisdom of hundreds of years on it as well while he cupped her cheeks and spoke with both the tips of their noses touching, Yun Beishang gently whispered into her mind but this time not via his voice and his Mental Power; instead, relying on his newest Heart Connection hidden stat.

Ba-Thump! Ba-Thump! ...Ba-Thump... Ba-Thump...

"Phew... you woman, girl, dumb person." Yun Beishang sighed out lightly in relief at the calming heart of Tornyllia, with a bit of his incredibly vast Mental Power, he carefully sent her back into his White Space. Yun Beishang breathed another sight of relief when his worries of not being able to protect her by sending her back in were denied at last.

'Now... from where did that breath came from?' Besides his 'job' at taking some treasures from the Sacred Underground, he now was more interested in finding out the owner of that breath that elicited a strong and even precarious change on Tornyllia out of nowhere. And, naturally, to dispose of it at once.

Step, step.

Yun Beishang made his way forward as the path 'behind' him was a closed end, like either the entrance or exit that was only accessible in special ways, like the Azure Key in Yun Beishang's bag that for some reason hadn't disappeared like it did with the Mysterious Hidden Undergrounds.

Having underestimating the size of the cave he was in or not, Yun Beishang spent a total of 12 whole minutes before he found something that wasn't only rock-like material and a huge path to go through. However, what he found was like an immense, Giant-sized type of mural in which it had carvings of a lot of snake-like beasts; some had wings, some had horns and some were even exotic-looking with tentacles, translucent skin or had hundreds of eyes all around their bodies. There was only one common trait for all of these snake-like beasts; there was only the need to rush into the sky and join the whatever was up above. Unfortunately, Yun Beishang couldn't tell what 'was above' since such mural seemed... broken. Not old nor touched by the time, simply broken; as if corruption, pain and/or mire.

Frowning once realizing of that, Yun Beishang could only think of a few things to what their 'purpose', or rather, 'path' was. Naturally, besides their instinct to survive, a living being tends to become a higher type of existence one way or another. Either in a magical, mysterious and mystical way; or in a manner that would only satisfy one's mortal desires.

Tracing his left hand on the mural as he kept on 'reading' it, Yun Beishang reached the end of the mural on the other side of the cave from where he came. Left with nothing else to experience, Yun Beishang moved forward as there was just no other way.

Step, step.

As Yun Beishang kept on following the only path available, that immense, huge only path; he kept on discovering different types of murals as he embarked in a deafeningly silent trip for about 40 minutes straight.

One mural had a whining huge, colossal serpent slithering all around immense trees whose height went even higher than what was possible seen. It didn't had scales and even had a pair of absurdly diminute wings compared to its whole size right behind its own two 'tearing' eyes.

Another mural had the image of a man with his fists on his waist while looking down at an incredible small serpent who was already struggling to survive even though it looked to have had just come out of its eggshell. There wasn't any discernible feature from that man as there was instead an immense shadow covering its front, as the little newborn baby serpent looked tenderly at the man for seemingly no reason.

Yet another mural, but this time without a single slithery best, as it instead depicted a small and even cute-looking ball below the middle of the mural while the rest of the mural only consisted of darkness and a few glowing objects in the distance. With only one slight discrepancy that was, a colorless mantle was positioned around the small ball. This one was too simple yet too bizarre at the same time, but Yun Beishang didn't gave it more than necessary thought and instead resumed his walking nonetheless.

Until finally, the bored and constantly forcefully exhaling out through his nostrils- young man arrived at an immense mural blocking his path ahead after spending another 25-27 minutes without encountering anything at all.

'A gate...? The gate maybe?' Whatever it truly was, Yun Beishang could only find out by himself rather than stupidly asking no one in his head. This mural-like gate had also a few designs on it. Particularly, there were a couple of immense but youthful winged serpents that were diving down towards the middle and to the bottom of the mural-like gate. They didn't look ferocious nor mindless but still had their square mouth opened and definitely aiming at whoever was trying to open them, especially to a little-sized being such as a human like poor little Yun Beishang himself.

Without hesitation and before coming any closer to the mural-like gate, Yun Beishang took out the Azure Key from his Master's Bag as well as his Mind-Sensory; just in case. Approaching the door slowly, before anything could happen, he heard a system prompt at this moment.

*PING*...host is about to enter a special kind of event. There will no longer be a way back and the Azure Key will only have one use remaining after opening the Sacred Underground's gates. Should the host not terminate with the quest and uses the Azure Key again not to leave this Sacred Underground, host's character will forever remain at this place. Confirm to use the Azure Key?

"...Confirm. Yes." Yun Beishang said as he looked at the now shining eyes of the two winged serpents whose eyes immediately rolled towards him as soon as the last few words were spoken by the system's emotionless voice.

*PING*...host is about to enter the Azure Dragon's Sacred Underground. Only way out of here is by killing the entity keeping the entire place from functioning normally and using the an Azure Key to teleport back from whence the host arrived.

"I know. Just let me do me and stop bothering me with these warnings." Yun Beishang whined at the system after not longer being able to endure it once he twisted his neck for long enough.

Tlcku.

As soon as Yun Beishang plunged once again the Azure Key in his right hand onto the middle of the gate from where he could reach out, the two winged serpents on the mural-like gate suddenly lunged with their mouths exaggeratedly opened. Yun Beishang first had his eyes wide opened as he thought he was about to be pinched to death but then, he understood their trajectory and instead of moving away from the gate, he kept his right hand in position while waiting for the two winged serpents to finish whatever they were planning with a cautious frown on his face.

Sssss!

Sssss!

CLANK! CLANK!

Shockingly, the two reanimated winged serpents on the mural-like gates actually went towards each of the parts where the two gates met each other and pulled from them once their were fangs successfully attached to the gates, as if it was a self-sufficient mechanism that only needed an Azure Key as the trigger with the two winged serpents as the guards of said gate.

'I see.' Yun Beishang was now glad that he didn't cowardly backed away, as it wasn't even in his instincts. He then waited until the two mural-like gates began to slowly open towards the inside while another immense 'breath' went his way right after.

HAAAA...Whistle~!

"Fuufuu...! Agk..." Yun Beishang puffed out with his nostrils over and over again as the weird smell that he got from that air was even stronger than what he had ever felt before. The sensation of looming and creepiness never so stronger and never this impactful in presence alone, his nose scrunched to the disgust of it as he couldn't help but want to cover his every hole in his body from the repugnant sensation it also gave him.

By the time half of that odor and sensation went away from all his senses, Yun Beishang found himself before an enormous, even many times larger than the Azure Dragon Main City; gigantic hall in which he felt like he was an ant suddenly being brought forth into an open road in the middle of nowhere.

'What... the hell... holy shit!' With his hands still covering his nose and mouth, Yun Beishang noiselessly stepped into the gigantic hall as he couldn't help but glance only to his front then to his right. What anyone could discern right now, with just the simplest of looks was that; though it was all too dusty, old and even fragmented, the every tile, flooring, ceiling and even pillars were all completely extravagant looking.

Though it seemed like everything around him had layers upon layers of dust, the surroundings were still looking incredibly attractive, proud and flashy.

Ghekk...

Then, Yun Beishang finally noticed, a being that was completely capable of hiding from his senses and furthermore so; from his Mental Power hidden stat.

Ghekk-grenghkk...

A choked sound from a being's throat resounded and, as Yun Beishang's hands fell from his mouth and nose, he saw an object that was as big as 20 Yun Beishang all added together a few kilometers away from him. But... rather than an object, that 'thing' was actually... a head!

'Wait... if that 'thing' is kilometers away and I can't detect it at once with my Mental Power... could it be that it is even bigger since it could also be even farther away than what I believe?!' And at once, Yun Beishang's thoughts turned for the worst as it wasn't more obvious that this 'thing' he was thinking about so much was, undoubtedly, the Azure Dragon.

*PING*...target for the Main Quest 'Plunder the Sacred Underground' is nearby.

"?!" Suddenly looking to his right as he slowly and cautiously used his incredibly vast Mental Power to scan far away from the Azure Dragon's 'head', Yun Beishang saw a small little nook at the distance. Probably from 10 to 30 km away, he would take a few minutes to arrive should he use his full speed but, did he really wanted to do it? Fuck no, oh no. It was already enough that he couldn't see that big worm's information, he didn't wanted to try and race against such a BOSS for no reason.

As such, an incredibly nervous and terrified Yun Beishang slowly made his way towards that nook that was far away and which seemed to have a button-like mechanism towards another part of the Sacred Undergrounds. And more likely than not, where his quest items should be waiting for him.

. . .

Like this, 5 hours went by with the always patient Yun Beishang never taking a longer stride nor a faster momentary pace out of becoming distracted. It was a great thing that Rosey was obeying Yun Beishang's commands of not going out to play nor anything. Though she had quite the useful talents to sneak upon places, the fact that she was previously an existence at the apex was too attractive for a being such as the Azure Dragon to ignore it; he believed.

At last, Yun Beishang arrived at the small nook -compared to how 'endless' the entire hall seemed-, and finally released a breath of relief mentally as he did so.

'Fuck, I need a break.' Yun Beishang sat down cross-legged on the floor as he also scanned the little room inside the wall that seemed so artificial, Yun Beishang could make a 100k words complaint to the level-designers.

'Ah, okay. I guess I can continue now.' Thought Yun Beishang quickly enough as he cautiously stood up and pressed a button that was more than obvious, located at the side on one of the walls of the little room acting as a small nook on such superficial-looking wall.

Tlck~.

The sound of a mechanism working immediately made Yun Beishang cringe harshly and he only wished that he could speed up the process and get inside whatever was on the other side. Finally, at last; Yun Beishang saw a more or less 50 x 50m large room with some azure, dark light illuminating the entire room; after the walls on the opposite side of the nook's entrance slowly opened.

And inside such room, there were a few dozens of items which Yun Beishang only received some '???' and [Not Available] system prompts whenever he looked at them. Without waiting for a reminder from the universe, Yun Beishang sprung to action as quickly as he could as he took anything he saw into his Master's Bag. For some reason, Yun Beishang didn't felt like putting them inside his White Space and as such, his Master's Bag had to be used for such 'decent' act of plundering.

'Phew... I think that's all. I just hope the exit isn't that close to the Azure Dragon's head, or body for all that mattered.' Thought Yun Beishang once he re-confirmed that he had taken all the possible valuables inside that azure, dark illuminated room. Making his way outside, Yun Beishang turned around once he was outside the room to press on the button and to make sure there wasn't anything weird such as a hidden trap or a hidden mechanism. Releasing a sigh of relief once the walls went back to their place of 'hiding' the treasures of the Sacred Undergrounds as well as receiving a system prompt for his well-doings.

*PING*...host has acquired the necessary qualifications to turn in the 'Plunder the Sacred Underground' Main Quest, please return to the quest giver to complete the Main Quest.

'...Sure, as long as I don't die...' Thought Yun Beishang as he kept on looking at the closed walls after having taken a look at the system prompt. Naturally, as Yun Beishang wanted to be extremely cautious, he didn't know that the azure, dark light inside the room on the other side of the nook's walls; had already gone away as if in a slithering movement.

Turning around with the feeling of only needing one little more step to complete this troublesome mission, as he obviously did not intend to chat with the probably 'specific' Azure Dragon, Yun Beishang turned around at once. Only to look, to what could be considered, a dark, azure and lifeless gigantic pupil right outside the nook on the superficial wall.

"..."

"..."

'...FUCK!' What he saw before, wasn't the Azure Dragon's head, probably not even the entirety of the small part of its tail. The room he was in previously, wasn't being merely left there for anyone to take without the use of the Azure Key or another key item to open, it was already being guarded by the Azure Dragon itself and Yun Beishang didn't prove too much in case it alerted said Azure Dragon. However, the Azure Dragon might have already taken notice of him ever since who knows how long ago and... he was also being watched by it inside the little room at the very least. Even if Yun Beishang did used his Mental Power nonchalantly, he still wouldn't have recognized the Azure Dragon's eye atop the little room for that BOSS was too much for the current Yun Beishang, and, even if he looked up he would only see a blinding stream fall of light without being able to discern it thanks to his low level.

Eh, well; basically, he was fucked.

CRASH-BAM-BAM-BAM-BAM-BAM!!!!!

It did not give Yun Beishang any slight chance at reaction, immediately slamming its body, any part, against the little nook where the poor rat Yun Beishang was hiding at. And the Azure Dragon was destroying it, destroying it wildly and with abandon. Naturally so, Yun Beishang's point of view was only of that lifeless dark, azure snake-like pupil before his entire body was seemingly crushed by something stronger than the cave he was previously in, nonstop, and he even felt his consciousness waver at the very same moment it all happened.

-20,000!, -20,000!, -20,000!, -20,000!, -20,000!, -20,000!, -20,000!, -20,000!, -20,000!...

Countless numbers began to float right above Yun Beishang's head as his body kept on bloodily jumping up and down like a funny puppet and, it wasn't fucking going to stop.

*PING*...host's HP has reached 0, you have died.

*PING*...your pet 'Rosey' has used Fallen Teary Rose Petal's Heart. HP, MP and Stamina restored to full, all CC effects are cleansed and you become invulnerable for 15 seconds.

TSHIN!!

Right after Yun Beishang heard the system's, now cherished, prompt; he also saw an almost blinding light come out from above his head in-between the many numbers that were now disappearing.

Rosey, Destroyer - Bloodline!

Peew~!!!

Taking a hold of Yun Beishang's left arm, the flying away Rosey quickly saved him from his yet another incoming death as she didn't wanted to see him die again in the same humiliating manner over and over again; nor that Yun Beishang also wanted to experience it as well.

Whistle~~~!!!!

GROOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!

As soon as the totally deafening sound of Rosey crossing through almost space sounded with Yun Beishang's body hanging from her hold, the enraged sound of the Azure Dragon's howl sounded as well as it realized that the intruder had been just saved by someone else! How could that be, since it had already become aware of all the possible intruders in his lair?!

Without another choice, the Azure Dragon moved its extremely long body until it finally had its around 400 meters big head pointing at Rosey and Yun Beishang's direction...

WHOOOOOOSH!!!

Before also moving towards them in an unbelievable speed; even then, Rosey still seemed to be much faster, not just by a little. Helpless, the Azure Dragon had to patiently chase the two intruders. It was an enclosed area anyway and, the Sacred Underground guardians had already been shut down, so they couldn't flee anywhere no matter how they tried. Besides, the Azure Dragon had already been living there for hundreds of thousands of years, how could he be outsmarted at home?

A race began; meanwhile, Yun Beishang was doing his best to take in whatever information he could derive a thing or two, or many more for that matter! He couldn't let Rosey's one use of Bloodline go to waste as they only had a bit more than an entire minute worth of buying time until the Azure Dragon closed in on them. His eyelashes fluttered strongly as he finally opened them with his determination showing off along diminute traces of violet in-between his eyes!
