Third Battle: Song Of The Forlorn, Broken And The Fooled (2—Last Part)

"... ... ... ... ... ... ... .... ... ... ..."

Utter, sad, breathtaking... completely overwhelming silence was all that remained. As soon as the Journeyers 'crossed' the portal, they received nothing more than eyes, which they had faced before. And with very similar emotions and feelings as the ones they were now sensing on themselves, but with many more more that were too different from those before; and from the Demons at that.

After being forced to cross over the portal just as a sea of flames so beautifully sad was about to engulf them, all players received countless gazes. But they were nothing to what one expected when one entered into the enemy's territory in a very blatant and disrespectful way, with the hopes of even destroying and exterminating them completely.

They were full of curiosity; for starters, as if saying, 'what are these beings, wow?'. They were also stunned, as if something wrong, something wrong had just then suddenly happened. Full of interest as well, especially from the children and babies around with red, pale red, rosy and rosy dark skin that appeared all over and innocently glanced at each and every Journeyer that was of different selected classes and races.

But... but soon... they soon turned into utter fear, hopelessness, terror and one that cannot be any more familiar to Yun Beishang; sorrow.

Endless sorrow, that made all players have their blood drained from their faces, hand and feet; as they glanced upon the plethora of Demons around them as if waiting for their side to make a move to explain themselves first. Journeyers; their confidence? Gone, long gone. Their thoughts? Astray! The instantly became dumbfounded as they gazed upon the eyes that were coming right at them as soon as they appeared on this place.

They then became even more speechless as they saw the life-like and reality of each and every owner of such pair or not even pair of eyes sometimes, every skin that they had, every mouth that they had, starved and deteriorated without even having entered adulthood for some and with some adults themselves looking to be shrunk Demons that resemble nothing of what they've been facing so far.

Looking around themselves at that time, they found nothing of the likes to what they've previously thought they would encounter themselves with. Because, first of all, there were not a single 'warrior' nor even 'mage' from the huge amount of Demons around. As for the amount of Demons around themselves, probably around no more than 500,000,000 in total.

Compared to the 100,000,000 or so Journeyers, these hundreds of millions Demons still seemed like LV1 mobs against a LV1 Mythical grade BOSS. If a fight were to break out, it would be devastatingly for both sides; one would be annihilated over time, over a short one period of time at that. While the other would be slaughtering defenseless, hopeless persons one after the other; nonstop.

Naturally, such a cursed train of thought attacked perfectly at the mind of the Journeyers as they experienced these kind of gazes, eyes and emotions that were now slowly turning much more somber and somewhat even hostile.

"I... I-I can't? I..."

"Let's... not, I... man, I don't think I-I can d-do this at a-a-all!"

"Look at them! We're not murderers! What is this...?"

"I don't really feel like... playing anymore...?"

But before there could even be a single Journeyer about to retreat and fall back into a passive stance, the Guiding Voices talked again as Yun Beishang the peeper who was instead calmly gazing back at those Demons around him, not caring in the slightest. His ears tingled once more as he heard the Guiding Voices speak.

"Journeyer, you now find yourself in the same Region and at the Azure Dragon Sub-Division still, but instead of being at the uttermost east of it, you are now at the uttermost west of the Sub-Division. The forest in which you are right now is called the White Snake Forest has been destroyed, reconstructed and modified by these abominable Demons that must be killed, no matter what!"

"In just the short span of just slightly more than a year, they have managed to turn this place impossible to recognize, uglier and lacking life! Do you know why? Of course you do not! If you did, you wouldn't have given them such a chance to breathe!"

"These Demons have managed to create those structures from before, but do you even know what they really do, besides just and simply blocking us, your Guiding Voices and you puny Journeyers from contacting each other? They steal life and take it away for their own enjoyment and to even furthermore power up themseeeelves~!!"

The dragged out last few words spoken were even venomous, as if the hatred they had for Demons was now just as big as it was for the Journeyers thanks to their hesitation and going back on their words of 'never fail you'.

But that swiftly disappeared and rather quickly as they continued speaking to their 'favored' Journeyers in a convincing demeanor, "Siiigh! They have been making us dance at their own rhythm for so long, we have gone from the very beginning of it all at the Somber Tree region, all the way up to now at the current state of this world where we are even forced to involve ourselves so much for your sake."

"These totems were all made with the objective  of draining power from the battles in which they were stationed at, even when destroyed, their primary function of drawing in the power of everything happening in a battle was still in function. Which made these things horrifying and unthinkable, abominable!"

"Corpses, souls, blood and resentment; these were the fueling that these smaller and less developed structures were depending on to feed an even greater, powerful and still unknown whereabouts of the main device, its possibilities are too high but dangerous for it to be at the hands of the Demon race."

"That's why, you Journeyers should just shut up-and figure out a way to find it, then, let us deal with it so that we can destroy it! Or else... because, this device is more than capable of threatening to take away life around the wilds, deserts, forests, seas and even the skies of Main Kingdom! Its fauna, flora as well, utterly weakening the beloved Main Kingdom!!!"

With the voice growing so hoarse at the last few audible words, Yun Beishang still remained calm as he even blinked without having any kind of expression in particular. He kept on hearing as they finally ended speaking bouts of information one after the other, when suddenly, just as Journeyers were being convinced and somewhat placated to convey their, Guiding Voices'; orders and wishes.

"Graaaaaaaaaaawwwlll!!! Where's my mommy, why is she not back, aaaah!"

Thud.

"..." A Journeyer suddenly had his lower abdomen punched by a measly Demon kid, to which the former could only slowly and dramatically look down below to see the face of a bratty young boy who was probably not even 7 years old, yet whose face was entirely painted with suspicion, pure hate and unfairness.

"I..." The Journeyer felt dizzy, to kill or not kill?! His senses told him not to, and as one of the utterly few % of players to have survived so much gory, pain and exhaustion on both sides of his being, he naturally wouldn't do crazy stuff for no reason. But, it was not the same with the Demons though...

"...Huff, huff... make a move!" A clear, old but also crispy and beyond hating voice sounded out from the crowds of Demons. And, before the Journeyer could react and voice out a single 'I'm sorry at the very least', he was pushed against the ground with full force of hundreds of Demons who then began to bombard him with fists, kicks, headbutts, bites and slams of their own physical bodies directly.

There was no weapon, no magic involved nor any armor at all, some were even completely naked and with open wounds that were rotting but healing at the same time. Most had their hair very ugly and disheveled, but their smell was rather natural and not so ugly as even normal people get back on New Earth from not showing for days, a strange sensation.

But even then, this strange sensation couldn't placate someone's heart and mind that was being totally engulfed by the huge ton of defenseless enemies trying to kill oneself. And now, with even his HP showing signs of plummeting fully in just about 10 seconds more or so, the Journeyer that was the only one to be attacked and pushed against the ground yelled out in his communications' feature.

"Hey, bring me some help-ack! These are fucking killing, are you serious?! I-I don't wanna-... oh my fucking god!!" With  his voice having grown impatient and angry too, having had enough of these ordeal as he only received some heals from the few remaining buffers and healer classes, the Journeyer sprung to his feet as his armor was bent all over but with his short sword making an energy blast that adhered itself to his handle through the entire ordeal as he swirled on the spot from the ground to about 3 meters in the air in a dancing-like fashion.

Rustle-THUD!

Swishswishswish~! ...Bvreee-Vwlsht Bvreee-Vwlsht Bvreee-Vwlsht Bvreee-Vwlsht Bvreee-Vwlsht Bvreee-Vwlsht Bvreee-Vwlsht--Pfruiyl! Pfruiyl! Pfruiyl! Pfruiyl!

Instantly, as if in slow motion once again, blood sprayed out as a mini rain that covered about half a kilometer in radius of terrain in droplets of blood. But there was also large amount of tendered flesh, pieces of organ matters and bones being crushed midair by the remnants of the skill used by the Journeyers as they hit on Demons' heads, arms and all over their bodies.

With wide, blank eyes, all Demons looked at this happen as some of them remained completely unfazed out of shock even as a bone or two scratched their skin open.

"... ... ..."

Whistle~, whistle~, whistle~.

But suddenly, there was a sound so stiflingly piercing and deafening amidst the utter silent that descended upon all beings on this true headquarters of the Demon Race. And right after those sounds went off, another 3 familiar sounds of explosions that were out-of-this-world came to be instead, as all other Journeyers turned extremely vacant and unbelievable at the sight of those colorful domes of a little galaxy-like explosions occurring all around themselves.

SHCK-BBPAM SHCK-BBPAM SHCK-BBPAM.

The same was for the Demons, though for them, it was more of a trigger, a sense of desperation as well and to have come to accept and to terms with their fate. Before, some may have had the thought of talking it out, speaking out loud and swearing for the cries and tears of a whole Race but, now... it was all die or die making others die.

"AAAAAAAH..."

"Gwaaaawaaaaaaah!"

"Haaaaaaahhyyn!!"

"Hahaha-he heh, groooooooowl~!"

"Haiyaaa-yiaaaaaaaa~~~!" Even children were crying out for war, for death, as the entire seas of Demons began hurling after seemingly buzzing around like bees or wasps that had just now been provoked. Their arms were either raised up and had been shaped as fists, claws or blades altogether as their legs moved frantically towards the 'few' Journeyers in the very center of them all.

'Heh, how laughable, putting us all down at exactly where these flock of Demons were moving towards to with such obvious meaning. How pitifully and absurdly damned are these idiots to not be able to take their beloved Guiding Voices' hint, hahh?' Yun Beishang thought to himself while letting go of his red pumping veiny-like bowstring but still holding his Compact Bow with his left hand in an aiming demeanor.

"Tongqiu! Tongqiu~! What are you doing, just what is this, can't you just-couldn't you just have waited a bit more?!" Screaming but somehow in still a hushed tone, forcefully that is, Baston screamed at Yun Beishang while the latter was having his precious time lost in his own thoughts.

Yun Beishang only looked sideways at Baston on his left with his right hand summoning another 3 arrows which were then nocked onto his bowstring once more without the use of any Hidden Stat, perfectly and skillfully, as he said to Baston and basically everybody else that was being now targeted by all the rest of the Demons. "Extermination, slaughtering. Just what do you think these words are for? Naturally, it is to kill until the last drop of blood of an entire Race is wasted on the floor, space itself or on yourself as you take that life."

"What were you expecting, some inside knowledge of not really exterminating an entire Race? Look at it, it's obvious that it is either they or us, if we fail, it may not matter at all. But the people in this 'world' will surely suffer because of the clumsiness of their 'heroes'. And then what? Do we just leave the people around here suffer it out? What will we even play for in the future, when we can't even fight this first war properly, let alone win it?"

"That's why, stop hesitating, I'm gonna start. See if I don't steal all the credit, but suit yourself. Sylda, Kalen, bring your people into my space, hurry up." Yun Beishang's words were detached, casual and emotionless but rational; however, once he spoke to Sylda but without looking at them and still aiming his Compact Bow's nocked arrows towards the incoming Demons, his voice turned soft though still commanding.

"..." Sylda and her family, for as willing to follow Yun Beishang in this 'world' which they could barely come to terms as it really existed, still silently agreed with his arrangements as they were about to enter his White Space which he conveniently didn't fully named just now. His voice though, rang out once again.

"Take care of Rosey, if she is sleeping with Paodan, let them have their rest. But keep them busy if they are not, please, for me. Also, Silha, Little Duck. Get in as well, and behave while you're there. But only you and a few selected, leave the rest here to die for this 'war'." Everyone nodded, those that follow him, as soon as his words were finally over.

A kind of overwhelming weight left them entirely as they then turned into white glows and traveled atop his forehead, the rest of players only noticing a white glow and the disappearance of a few dozen people and not really where they went to nor how. Only those like Delette, Raoundozia and Selina were capable of more or less seeing a few more glows flash here and there, but that was it.

"Then, I'll also let my people die for you. It's nothing serious in reality, so let them fight for you for now, okay?" Sylda's voice sounded out, and before Yun Beishang could even said his 'thanks'—contrary to what Sylda was afraid of hearing—, she vanished in the same manner as the others into his White Space; leaving him slightly speechless.

"Hmph~." Suddenly snorting cheerily and involuntarily at once, with a little grin, the mask-less—it was still on but with the features of hiding it—Tongqiu stunned the crowd as his eyes were so lifelike and charming, but then turned back to the ones 'Tongqiu should have' as he gazed back at Demons.

"I'll be moving out then, suit yourselves." Yun Beishang said right before he swiftly let go of his three arrows and as he instantly after took another 3, seemingly then activating 2 other skills in a row and then summoned 300 shadows of arrows with half of them having several different colors with 11 of them.

Each arrow acted as if having a mind of its own but not quite at the same time, as if it was directed towards certain points and that could even slightly change their own direction from their original objective, but not that much. This was the current Yun Beishang, capable of nocking 3 arrows to his bowstring and sending out 300 and 3 extra arrows all at the same time towards a different direction each without the need of any of his Hidden Stats.

"Let's... go ahead and do the same, it was bound to happen anyway. I'm sorry, I really have no words to say, if you don't want to follow me, feel free to die for as I still cannot even log out myself." Baston's slightly self-deprecating low voice sounded out at this time, the sound of his Luxurious grade shield and Formidable grade sword that had appearance similar to those of a sun sliding onto one another being muffled by the out-of-this-world explosions amidst the disappearing into ashes and sweet nothingness from all those Demons afflicted by it.

Curiously or not, Yun Beishang's first round of Total Combustion, Tongqiu's Rain Destruction and Omnipresent Cosmo Epsilon Shot were all aimed in a circle with mos Journeyers being 'protected' by it. Naturally, just 300 and 3 extra explosions with a range of 15 square meters wouldn't be enough to encompass around 100,000,000 people; at all.

But it still gave a lot of time to think, ponder and barely discuss from their current situation to Baston and those nearby.

Delette grabbed his right hand with her right one as well, while Mort arrived on his left and entirely hugged his left arm, her flat chest giving him courage while Delette placed her left hand on his right shoulder. "We are here, we can do this. Ugly, sure... but we have to do this, I'm afraid."

"Mn, let's go and... thanks." Delette shook her head at her husband's words while gazing at him tenderly, she then took out her unique long heavy and sharp as fuck sword before raising it up into the sky, a large barrier-like energy encompassing any nearby ally as it then acted in a chain reaction, coming to encompass all of the Journeyers at some point.

"Let's move, people!!" Her voice turned valiant as her eyes grew fierce, this may not be an honorable fight, but it was a fight nonetheless, and the Demons themselves were quite a curious sight to behold with the way that they were fighting. Even then, it was bound to be a fest of meatiness, bloodiness and simply just gore of any other matter of a being's body made of flesh and the typical stuff.

Slowly, Journeyers took a stance as those in the frontlines from all around in their circle lowered their backs slightly, bending forth to resist the charging, defenseless and weak ordinary Demons that were probably even less healthy than Main Kingdom's civilians or villagers at that.

On the other hand, Demons from all ages, sexes, disabilities or impairments or with any kind of injury; every single one of them fought instead to their hearts content, unlike the expected sad and simply cruel sight of their panicked faces.

On the contrary, they were looking so utterly different as they fought uselessly and to their deaths against these extremely strong to strongest Journeyers, with a type of relief. A type of finally, after so many eras, of less weight.

Their smiles, yes, because they were all mostly smiling at all times or at least as they died; more dazzling and thrilling than many beauties smiling just for your own sake, heavier than a mountain that is hiding the scorching sun earlier for you. And through with unimaginable pain, each of their rapidly decreasing lives was seemingly as if decreasing the flow of time for the Journeyers for each time they were kill-no, murdered.

Each murder, the face of the next victim of theirs was a little more, a lot more discernible; every single pore, every drop of sweat, their bloodied tears and broken smiles. Their sorrowful soul neglecting in their each and every own lifeless but fighting-willed, tired pair or not even pair of eyes.

It would be the torment and tears of moved living beings in the future, when the tales of yore are spoken with pain but gladness at the same time, like a cursed lullaby.
