"No." KC responded at once, not a single tinge of hesitation nor remorse on his expression, and with his hands intertwining with one another in front of his chin, being supported by their arms' elbows on each of his knees. "They could have saved themselves, they had a plan, Yun Beishang. With the migrating of their entire Race, sending themselves into an unknown Dimension that even the entire Universe from yore was completely afraid and unknown of. But they failed, also thanks to you."
‘Yeah, thanks for rubbing it in, Father-in-law.’ Feeling a bit annoyed, Yun Beishang gave the father-in-law a pair of rolling eyes as he turned around and gave his back to KC on the holoscreen. Once Yun Beishang did just this, he opened his mouth to speak out while moving towards the exiting door.
“I do feel quite burdened, but it’s nothing…serious, I suppose…even then, I feel like taking a break.”
“Mm, making a race disappear, that is indeed something you’ll need to rest for. Even existences need to when they do exactly just that or some other equally burdening ‘actions’. Farewell, Yun Beishang, since you are in no mood, then I’ll just tell you this rather quickly. You must have already met Lovable and Touchable, I think that’s her name, she is Nora’s aunt and she has already met with her. But she also wants to meet Cinders, so I will be sending her up to the mothership KATARINA-1 in a few weeks. Would you like me to send a few other people? Just in case.”
Step-.
At the mention of these, Yun Beishang’s right foot stepped and was also the one to bring his body to a halt as his left foot’s heel slowly went back onto the ground, he turned around in a regular speed as his eyes had some understanding. He then said in a bit of an embarrassed voice, “Ehem, Father-in-law, this…could you get me a few papers? It is for official marriage, though I don’t care about it and I will even make a few ceremonies ehre, I…still want to give them out to my maids so that they can understand my intentions, ahem.”
“...” With eyes that were wide opened but gave not a single trace of emotion, yet from which Yun Beishang could feel a lot of scrutiny and unbelief, KC then only responded after several thoughts of all kinds and from moderate to extreme flashed through his head over and over again. “Sure, and as for any people you want me to send? I must remind you, Sylda and her family are still not going up until Sylda gets permission for it. Her words.”
“Mn, I know. I won’t disappoint my dear Sylda, so I will wait until she comes to me with her own efforts, I know! As such…then, send that lady from the Xie Clan to my chambers, I also have made a kind of contract with her all the same.”
Hearing his pathetic words, KC coughed a lot of times before being able to barely and finally respond, “EHEM! I more or less know the quantity of maids on your name, boy, but as for other lovers and the like, I will have to ask your secretary. But, just to be specific, from how many are we talking about for the making of these papers for official marriage?”
“...Many.” Responded Yun Beishang, casually and with a straight, innocent face while looking with big eyes at his Father-in-law. And in complete helplessness, KC merely nodded his head and noted something on his desk right after. Then, having thought of something, he looked back up to meet Yun Beishang’s eyes before slowly saying.
“Yun Beishang, you may now safely have offspring with Miss Yun. In fact, only the act of several inbreeding scenarios would be actually dangerous in that aspect, but with your First Form formed long ago, having a kid or more will no longer pose any problem nor possibility, let alone that you have now condensed your Second Form.”
“Okay…one last thing, boy.” KC saw Yun Beishang’s face blushing, 6 parts embarrassment and 4 parts relief. And then continued to say after making sure that nothing awkward was going on between father-in-law and son-in-law. “I’ve already said how important it is to attain an Essence, and Katia must have already told you of how impossible it is for virtually all. And with my recent words, you should even more so understand of how important it is so as to become.”
“Yun Beishang, your Pure’s Essence is something that not even I could ever hope to ever experience, at least not more than twice in my case. That is also because what is your Pure’s Essence is, it is capable of making even existences go truly mad for and go ahead annihilating Universes for. It is a type of absoluteness. Maybe, there will be a day where you will understand it, I hope you do it soon though. Dismissed.”
Softly calling out at last, the image of KC on the holoscreen dimmed, darkened and swiftly disappeared as a wordless Yun Beishang glanced back for a while, before then turning around and exciting the communications room. His eyes, still baggy but now getting more and more alive ever so slowly, as he moved back to his own bedroom after bidding farewell to the personnel at the Communications Center Module.
. . .
KATARINA-1, Yun Beishang’s bedroom, at around 7:30 am.
Having already entered his room noiselessly, Yun Beishang was now finishing unbuttoning his bermudas shorts right to the left side of his bed, where Yun Yun, his sister, peacefully laid on the right side of her body with Zyv facing upwards and with her limbs sprawled on the bed as the sheets were in-between her legs as she snored.
Rustle~!!
“Mm…Brother? Came back, mn.” Incoherently somewhat; Yun Yun said as she felt her brother’s covered Dragon’s Head pass across her sealed lips and then positioning himself in the middle, though she felt incensed and felt his taste, she remained calm and only allowed him to get comfy before resting her head on his chest just like the lover she is of him.
“...” After seeing that is Yun’er had gone back to sleep, even after enduring his taste and smell that he actually accidentally placed below her nostrils, Yun Beishang relaxed on his bed before lowering his hand to pick up the sheets. Only to discover a naughty Zyv had been clutching it with her thighs, which was also why his Yun’er was uncovered from her top and her huge, massive rack clothed with the thinnest of nightgowns worn for him alone. Well, maybe Zyv too.
“Hmph~.” Snorting cheerily from his nostrils as he looked to his right and below, looking at those puffy pale-silver eyelids and eyelashes that rested so pitifully comfortably, Yun Beishang then guided hi right hand to Zyv’s crotch and with the smoothest of actions, grabbed the cover amidst her upper thighs and slowly lifted it to cover the trio’s bodies.
Tap, rustle~.
“Emn, ke-hehehe!” Twinkling bell-like giggling, Zyv responded to his touch as Yun Beishang lifted his hands to dearly hold his little wolf cub’s cheeks, the warmth, breathing skin and living heartbeat of Zyv made his eyes go wide, his pupils to dilate and his iris to tremble. The sight of this little beauty, who is willing to please him however he ordered after much training, and bonding, has in truth…always been there for the two siblings that is himself and Yun Yun.
“I’ll take care of you, forever. Please marry me, Zyv, okay?” Since Yun Beishang had been rubbing her face with his loving hands, soft but extremely solid at the same time, oozing might and aura so magnificent that there couldn’t be any more enchanting sensation for Zyv to feel. And now with Yun Beishang speaking clearly out from his heart and in such a gentle tone, even imploringly; how could Zyv not be awake by now? That voice made her tremble all over even.
Opening her eyes, showing their sky-blue iris and pupils as a tiny translucent white glow emanated from them. She showered his entire being with a smile so big, radiant and soothing as well as even with motherly instincts while her eyes were stronger than the brightest stars in the Universe as she coyly answered her husband’s proposal.
“Yes… Is Big Brother finally going to marry me, and his other women? Maids too? Good. Now we can all be together, have children and raise them together, and live together forever. Of course I will marry my Big Brother Wolfy, but you must marry us all at the same time, all at the same time and with no other way out!”
Shocking Yun Beishang silly into a complete silence, Zyv smirked proudly, also knowing that this kind of growth from her was all but not just surprising and impactful to Yun Beishang but also incredibly wonderful in his eyes. She then continued with the same voice and demeanor, “As for those Sisters and maids in the future, naturally, they can only be worthy of you if they get the chance to even be your women or maids. So you will be able to marry them all on a later date as well.”
“Mwa!” Delivering a quick kiss on the tip of his nose, Zyv had her fingertips run across all over his face with narrowed, infatuated eyes to the extremes before she then continued. “How is that? Good? I’m glad then, now, since you were just now crying in my sister’s bountiful mountains, it is now the turn of my peaceful meadows to be traversed by your kind tears.”
“...Hmp-hmhm-hm…kh-hah…” Not being capable of saying anything at all, Yun Beishang simply dropped his head after it jolted a few times as he had his involuntary snorts cut off by his own restrained sobs for a long while. Before long, as he felt Zyv’s small and lithe arms encompass the back of his head and neck, Yun Beishang then quietly but unrestrainedly began to sob on her chest as Zyv placed her lower chin on top of his head as he went on and on and on; with a thing and large smile so pure, soothing and devoted that he unknowingly fell asleep soon after.

A long time has passed ever since the extermination of the Demon Race in Rising Essence, such a thing, even if it had tons of lore and unimaginable support from the lore enthusiasts, it should’ve been still just a minor inconvenience to players, Journeyers’ hearts and minds and nothing more. Yet, what it ended up causing was much more than ever imaginable instead.
With basically all players having fought the plethora of Demon Race and their allies, having died to kill them all at least a few times and even saw the ‘real’ deaths of so many ally NPCs that fought alongside them, some hurt and painful reactions were bound to happen; and it did.
With as many people as they were, trying to not believe in it, the shock after the truth was revealed inside the game still lurked at the depths of each individual’s heart. Like an unknown knot that just cannot be solved, before long, that knot became too tense and unsteady, to the point it finally broke down and as it did with each and any Journeyer to even those who did not participate in the massacre.
Among them, players like Baston, Raoundozia, and even the elite and other pro players around, they took the heaviest blows not only from the truth and from, basically, being played. But also from people with the use of nothing else but, indeed, the internet. As they were the few last to survive from the war, and also as ‘murderers’ and participants in the collaboration to murder Adorevia, a hurl of hate was sent their way endlessly for a time.
It wasn’t until the Crestfallen Industry began to warn all people, and not just players, from the behavior towards one another that they considered unethical and would then be banned without a warning that it began to be dropped. Still, as the most ‘sinful’ Journeyer was fully absent, there was still that one player that they could keep on slandering and talking of however they wanted nonstop.
For as it seemed like the Crestfallen Industry wasn’t doing anything to those who kept on hating Tongqiu who was more than MIA lately; many took him as a coward, many others as an opportunist, and some as one that didn’t care. Naturally, to fan the flames, there were a few certain groups who actively targeted Tongqiu, his Order and those who did not turned their back at them and ‘exposed’ their evilness; for whatever that could end up being exposed as.
As for what the consequences of following the Guiding Voices was all about, all of that was similarly thrown at Tongqiu and The Order, no questions asked, no doubts remaining.
It got to be even more ‘real’ for Journeyers as they saw the barren lands that was basically all of Main Kingdom now, there wasn’t a single spot where there was a color other than gray, dull brown, dull white and even rotten green or purple. There were still mobs around, but they were no longer strong and most had around 50% or less of their HP remaining at all times.
In the same manner, there seemed to be a complete lack of items all over Main Kingdom, which made restoration impossible. That wasn’t even the worst as… virtually, all Sub-Divisional Cities were utterly destroyed, with not even a single bit of their walls or buildings and structures remaining standing.
As for the people that lived in those Sub-Divisional Cities…the outcome was even more scary, as Journeyers found there to be not much life around. Superficially, each Sub-Divisional was not only destroyed completely, but also had their citizens exterminated. Only small, the smallest of them all, groups of NPCs survived, but naturally, that wasn’t so for any normal NPC or one that didn’t seem to have a future for the game.
Because as more and more NPCs were discovered to be alive, there were some that went from looking ordinary and bony all over, to wearing a simple and beginner’s clothing or armor, yet they looked like main characters of the next event, questlines, main story and so on. But of course, their numbers was so diminute that it just did nothing to the Journeyers who were more worried about having their game dying.
That is, because the game and the Crestfallen Industry began to receive endless awful unhelpful criticism ever since day 0 from when Main Kingdom was crippled of life. But to all these claims, as they mainly came from certain Founding Clans and their henchmen with smaller but still powerful groups and companies and the like. The Crestfallen Industry only had a single phrase to answer the people of New Earth.
“The choices made by all players, Journeyers, inside Rising Essence were all from their own hearts and desires. Whatever happens is up to them, it is only normal for the Journeyers to either take care of what they’ve done, or simply quit.”
With their typical demeanor and as they yet again showed their hegemonism, the Crestfallen Industry shut all babbling mouths and ridiculing eyes that were ecstatic at the fall, incoming fall of the Crestfallen Industry at last, giving the people who ‘deserved’ to take the reins of the overlord of New Earth to raise up as it is supposed to.
On the other hand, just as a few days had gone by with some exploring Journeyers of the Bright Sunset Region that went over to visit the previously known to be the White Snake Forest, them finding out that there was a sudden growth in both vegetation and magical particles in a very strong demeanor that originated from where many people saw the strange tower-like structure destroy itself out of nowhere.
Just as that was happening and as people were having their own wild ideas and were becoming excited, an even more incredible thing happened!
The Crestfallen Industry, who had been all uncaring towards the situation of their one and only game that has transcended not only all gaming industry but also all of New Earth’s technology; infinitely. Released a short film and a notice with a new and last patch coming soon to Rising Essence!
The video was motivating, moving, passionate but also slow, calm and reflexionative. It was all a bunch of scenes, from which each of them were of the same thing yet weren’t any boring nor fastidious to watch. All and every single shown scene was of NPCs, Inhabitants; who were then found by Journeyers and whose lives and hopes were re-ignited as the latter began constructing many homes for the homeless…warmless NPCs.
Be it using vehicles that come from New Earth uniquely but were created into the game for the sake of facilitating the Builder Sub-Class, to which all NPCs showed bafflement from how weird yet effective teh vehicles were. At the same time, there were some scenes that ended with the Journeyers having some NPCs in their ranks after they were done constructing a fairly humble but very well structured and incredibly solid new village, town, small city or even interior of a cave and treehouses; basically anything.
As for the notice of the incoming update for the Warmonger expansion, it held no real vital information except for the last paragraph and bout of information.
First was the mention of newly introduced ‘mini-games’ that were all made for the purpose of easing the conflicting emotions, feelings, guilt and even what most would rather choose to ignore and act as if it didn’t exist within their successful company, game or lifestyle even…depression. Indeed, this new form of easing up their ‘consumers’ from the Crestfallen Industry was just for those cases, and it was so well accepted by just reading their descriptions.
For example, there was, from the newly incoming feature such as mini-games called recreative activities like the Mini-shooter; where one can get to play like a professional operator who will take on missions of several different kinds or simply to get into a PvP mode in either small or large maps.
Mini-Farm Lifestyle, which was naturally focused on progression, and as it said it all with its name, it was all about farming from simply planting to raising livestock and harvesting as well as taking the products from their livestock or… from killing them. This was merely for achievement, and would not have any relation with the RisingEssence’s items.
There was also the most ‘mysterious’ one, a Mini-Plane Simulator where all Journeyers would be able to fly an aircraft from New Earth—except for military ones—through all of Main Kingdom. Of course, with overly boosted speed and with simplified controls, as Main Kingdom was way too large and as modern aircrafts were no joke, nuh-uh.
Besides those, there was the mention of there going to be more and more, new and newer of other such Mini-games from the recreative activities function, and that if Journeyers behaved so well and gave the entire world as well as the Crestfallen Industry a great example for redemption; they would even make it so that they could be played with NPCs!
Besides the theme of redemption being the highest temptation for all Journeyers, the fact that they could share such beautiful activities with the people in the game that they have not only failed, but have also given such pain and torment indirectly. It was, indeed, such a huge boost in morale and motivational for everyone, even those who did not even played Rising Essence nor were planning to.
Slowly, unthinkably and even somewhat surprisingly, the playerbase of Rising Essence was slowly coming up to 12 billion, with 11.5 billion daily players having already been confirmed, in ecstasy, on the forums of Rising Essence.
Another thing that motivated Journeyers even more, was the newest Association added, the Academy Association!
Made for the sole purpose of training, educating and sharing knowledge to everyone but especially, to all Inhabitants of Main Kingdom. Especially furthermore so, for those children who have lost it all or those parents, grandparents and so on who have nothing else and from which suicide was the only word in their vocabulary lately.
While these changes and additions were overly great and motivating, it was the last paragraph indeed that managed to make almost all people of New Earth to jump on their seats, the floor or directly launch themselves through the air that made their hearts thump and their eyes to even swell in ‘irritation’ from polluted air at once!
